@@LMAutoRepairs I'm working on a Dualis(same body as this car) that's giving me a P1531 low side temp sensor..do u where that sensor is located? I tear down the dash and nothing there. Would appreciate your help.
Oh, thanks! So informative, engaging, and I like your honesty, and drive (pardon the pun😜) for perfection. For the absolute dogs bollox clinch on this, you need some microscopic cameras down there to show (in slow motion) the compressor engaging the clutch. You know, you can be the David Attenborough of Car Safari - "one mechanic's journey to the source of the repair".
Great video, thank you. One more thing for me to check on mine. My thermometer is working on the dash though, so suspect I have another problem. Will see if I can see the clutch engaging.
Not sure how this happened; but my 2007/8 (bought near new from dealer) 2.0L Qashqai;- Dualis (in Japan) has had warm temps (~22Degs instead of 18) for a couple of years summers now, and so I checked out this video, went to the car, pressed the 2 sticks on the dials to get the Temp to read, and put the car on, & the Air-con is now a cool 18 Degs. Its been running warmer for a couple of years (since I replaced the air-filter under the console centre), so not sure why its colder just after I watched the vid (found in random search of the topic [attempt to fix on convenient day]). No biggie; also not sure why my vehicle looks near new under the hood, but the Diesel you got there looks pretty rough (you live near the coast maybe). Lord knows.
I guess the air con will kick in depending on the temp selected and the actual temp inside the car... should work not just in the lowest setting... Hope it makes sense...

hi, i got my ac compressor checked by a professional and he stated that it is filled with gas and don't need topping up, the thing is that i feel that it is working and when im in idle i feel cold air coming out but while im driving it increases it's temperature and almost becomes hot air. the air circulation button is switched on but i am suspecting that it's servo isn't working. does anyone know where the servo is situated in the nissan qashqai Ntec 2010 please? thanks in advance
The temperature working fine in my car, refilled coolant, changed compressor clutch working changed all o rings changed condenser, Still car not cooling
Ese Sensor de temperatura externa no tiene nada que ver con el acondicionador de aire, quizás a menos que lo coloques en modo Automatico. Debe mirar más bien el sensor de temperatura del evaporador.
So, how do you explain that everything starts working once the sensor is repaired? The external temp sensor is required for the system to not run when the exterior temperature is too low... Thank you for watching!
Hi mate would you be able to tell me how to remove that sensor from the plug. I can't seem to remove mine. AC works well from what I can tell but it won't display the ambient temperature on the driver display.
