- The Texas Department of Public Safety provided an update on the Uvalde school massacre Thursday, revealing the shooter walked into the elementary school 'unobstructed' through door that was apparently unlocked, contradicting previous statements by officials.
"No one wants to question the bravery of officers" Fuck that. We need to question them ALL THE TIME. Police need to be questioned.

Cops have a hand gun, but they don't always have simi-automatic weapons on hand. They were aware the shooter had heavy weaponry. we shouldn't expect cops to just rush a lunatic without regard for their own life, and the life of others. Cops risk their lives just by responding, and 2 of the men got shot. The Border patrol officer that eventually shot the shooter had a bullet hole in his hat.
Moreover, when cops are chasing a suspect (like during a traffic stop), armed or unarmed, they don't know the level of threat until the last minute, and they don't wait to find out how volatile the threat is, if the suspect doesn't cooperate, they risk the chance of getting shot . Comply with the police, its that simple. That would have saved many black men's lives -- they stupidly run, or try to attack the police -- that is retarded. Many of them had criminal histories, and probably would have been better off serving more time, rehabilitating themselves, than continuing on a path of destruction -- George Floyd was no hero (9 stents with the law???). They lived lawlessly.
And statistically speaking, white men are stil killed by the cops more often than black men. Yes, that doesn't fit the narrative you've been spoon-fed to believe, but that is the truth. Cops aren't just out trying to shoot blalc men. Stop perpetuating that lie. Comply with the police, no matter who you are, just cooperate with them.

Is it just me or is this DPS spokesman lacking in his ability to properly communicate THE TIMELINE OF EVENTS? Is this not the reason he is at the podium speaking? I'm more confused after hearing him speak than I was before he began ... as still it appears to be unanswered on how this kid made it inside the school and how he traversed the distance from the wreck to the school building itself without any school lockdown being initiated by anyone which as intended would have lock him out of the school. (A back door was open?) (Class rooms were accessible?) None of this is making sense. I’m not sure what they did was right because I’m not in law enforcement and I don’t know the proper way to handle these situations and I’m not going to act like I do but as a mom of 4 I would want any adult armed or not to do anything and everything to save my child and not wait.. .
After, hearing updates they were definitely in the wrong and need to have their badges stripped and held accountable for all the deaths. I've worked in public schools for 12 years. Security is very poor across districts big and small. Too many entry points, glass and easily defeated security measures. My current district has SROs in every school but if the y go down we are reduced to the standard policy of hiding or fighting with a can soup in a sock. No joke. Let those of us with a CHL carry and this will help.

In an active shooter incident police officers must go into the school and flush out the shooter and eliminate him or her. In this case we all have learned that most of the officers on the scene were scared of going in. Waiting for a SWAT Team is a coward way not to take action. According to the NRA " THE ONLY WAY TO STOP A BAD GUY WITH A GUN IS A GOOD GUY WITH A GUN!'" What we now know is this does not work if the good guys are cowards...
If an individual has a gun, sees someone threaten or actually injure/kill others and that individual does nothing, thats not a "Good guy with a gun". The Border patrol officer is the good guy with the gun in this case.
What all have found out that about 50 or more officers were on the scene with military style weapons. None of them made any attempts to breach the school. But several parents went in and got their children without any police training or weapons.
