Hey man, when I bought my 03 f150 xl it came with a ball hitch that comes out of the well where the license plate is. Is it ok to tow with that?
I ordered one (Curt 14355) today (11-16-23) from Summit Racing (cheapest) for $253.99 plus tax with free shipping.
It's going on my, new to me 1998 Ford F-150 2wd ext cab base model truck.
The current bumper ball is not the right way to pull any trailer.
Thanks for the video. It was good. :)
No problem! Hope it helps!
Got mine from Amazon for $186, including taxes. Going on my 2000 v6 XLT today.
where would you attache the rear camper tie down brackets?
Hello i need a class 4 receiver since my 2018 f150 did not include one. On the part where the receiver bolts on to, it has a label where it specifies the class 3 limits. Can i bolt the class 4 to that?
As long as the holes line up it should work I believe but I would verify with Curt. You would still be limited to the limits of the truck tho even if the hitch can technically handle more.
I just took delivery on the Curt part # 14355 for my 2001 F350 4x4 crew, long bed, and these factory frame holes ain't about to line up ever, off 3/4 of an inch..you see, I can't even get to the leg press trick because on one side the holes are off SO BAD, I'm on the horn with both Curt and Summit Racing..fuckin irritated
That's annoying. Ours was probably off by that much too. No idea why it isn't manufactured better from such a well known company.
@@TheSundaeDrive turns out the hitch was bent pretty bad, so rough shipping trip I assume..can't blame Curt now, just The carrier. I sent it back and refund is due promptly.
That's good at least.
