@@originaltrikz08 Well thats only Somewhat true, what happened was that 3 racing games were announced in the same week and set to release in the same week. I honestly won’t mind blur being turned into a series though, it’ll be like burnout except with it’s own gameplay and destruction style. I think if this game were released today with better marketing, this will be able to compete with other big titles like NFS, Forza Horizon, and The Crew, because Blur offers what other racing games don’t have
One of my favorite games. Probably one of the few games where boost can actually have a 50-50 chance of causing you to lose the race if you're racing with competent players or similarly skilled players
I think that piracy of games that are no longer being sold is not morally bad so you can just download it, it's technically not "illegal". Just don't pirate games that can still be bought!
Best LAN multiplayer game I ever played during college. One whole block sound hilarous when got homming orb chassing them. With lot licensed cars, great soundtrack, best menu theme and beautiful graphics effect. I can say 10/10 that time.
Blur was one of two games that saved the racing game genre when it was at its lowest point in its history. The other was Split Second. For one to not know Blur, you'd either have to be sans racing game enthusiasm or so young, you still have to wipe the placenta off yourself.
@@sukhdevr3489 Blur and Split Second came about in 2010, when most of the gaming world wanted to pull the curtain on racing. While not heavily-praised, it did convince the right people that there's still a market.

This is one old master peice that aged beautifully its hands down better than most of modern racing games blur along With split second marked the end of the golden age of racing games for me. Its still fun to play especially with friends in splitscreen multiplayer, wich also is dying out in games now. Im honestly so disapointed that this got shut down.
Love your blur & nfs heat videos, they are my 2 favorite just because the way the graphics and cars look in them, I can explain it but it just seems really cool and blur is really unique & fun
Game is still alive and our community is growing! I can't leave any URL here but on my videos on description I include Blur Community Official Discord server Please let Pantha know the game is growing on PC thanks to Aibot launching Amax server for everyone to play online for free in online
Blur was one of my first racing games actually on the xbox 360, i had a blast playing it. I recently played it again around a week ago and i still enjoy it!
Holy F i miss this game so much 😭😭 i've been playing it for as long as i had my PS3 Working and mainly played Split Screen multiplayer with the homies as NFS didn't have such thing... Also played the likes of Split Second, these games were absolutely incredible 🥲 i wish we had at least a remastered version of them maybe for the 15th year anniversary or something
It was the best game ever. I always get so good memories about the multiplayer. I remember playing it as a kid for multiple hours and being so damn happy about it. There is no game that gives me this vibes anymore. Sadly no need for speed since I think Carbon has given me this much of fun anymore. I am waiting for the new test drive game as it was one of my favorites besides Blur, NFS Carbon/Underground2 and Grid 1
I loved blur, and mod nation racers. I would love a weapons based racer for current gen. Hot wheels unleashed is amazing, but if they added a weapons mode that would be phenomenonal.
It's frustrating how creativity is often ignored in gaming. Just think about it. We got Blur and Split Second in the same year, two absolutely brilliant racing games that tried to do something different and they did it very well. Personally I wouldn't mind if Blur or Split Second became one of those milked anual franchises, because when you think about it, games like these - over the top racing arcades - are kinda dead breed now and that makes me really sad. I even remember that one of the first games I got on PS2 was Rumble Racing which was pretty much early Blur.
Blur was one of my favourite games ever. I have memories of me and my brother playing this in his bedroom. Him racing the Mégane cup and me in the supervan racing in brighton
We do have a dedicated community for blur, one of the modder has been successful in creating identical gaming server to the official ones(PC Only) We have daily sessions and occasional tournaments. There's a lot of stuff going on, so If anyone is interested they can join the discord server.
Hey Theo can you play Gran Turismo 4? I completed it a few months ago and it's so much better than GT Sport. About 700 cars, insane career, proper progression, special cars in the used car dealerships, great soundtrack.
I hoped on the ps3 version a few weeks ago and it said that there was over 1k players on the game, and that put a smile on my face because before there was only 50 players at max. If I ever decide to become a game developer I'm going to make some kind of spiritual successor to Blur.
I remember playing blur years ago on my ps3. I never knew about blur 2 and it's pretty sad it never released.. It would've probably been extremely fun. It would be crazy though if there was a blur 2 and it was released on the next gen consoles lol
BP, it's funny you should mention DriveClub, I just got that out & played it on my PS4 yesterday! I quite enjoyed it - the graphics still look quite good, the soundtrack is wonderful, it has a nice variety of cars, & the overall gameplay is still OK too. A bit of a trip down memory lane... :) I never played Blur at all, but I kind of wish I did. It actually looks quite cool. Like DC, it deserved to be a lot bigger than it was. What might have been, eh? :/
because Activision released it the same week as split second, red dead redemption, and super mario galaxy 2, then blamed the audience saying we apparently don’t want games like this because it didnt sell well and then they killed Bizarre Creations

A very criminally underrated racing game along with split second
