please does anyone know whether xppen artist 16 2nd gen can be powered by a smartphone power bank?
Why couldn’t it? A tablet is basically a phone without the call capability. It uses a usb charging. May charge slower because of the bigger battery.

Procreate Dreams is a new app it’s not gonna have everything right away 😂
FlipaClip has a lasso tool. At this moment in time, procreate dreams does not have one, yet.

@@Tonabillityperformance mode is just special key framing. ToonSquid doesn’t need it. Toonsquid has character rigging which is way more important

I completely understand that if you’re currently loving rigging, then of course ToonSquid is ABSOLUTELY the app for “you”!
I’m a geezer who has been traditionally animating long before many on this thread were born. I actually have an “OK, Boomer” badge to prove it! 😜
The older I get, the more fascinating I find the old Max Fleisher school of frame by frame animation to be.
Procreate Dreams is the very first mobile app that allows me to ELOQUENTLY uncover the the knowledge that was sourced during that magical Fleisher era. I’m as passionate about that as you are about rigging!
For me personally, studying frame by frame animation is ESSENTIAL to any other craft of animation. Whether it’s rigging, claymation or CGI.
The omission of the Lasso and Merge-layer tools are heartbreaking!!
But it also made me curious to see if I could discover how to use the app well enough to find some workarounds 🤷🏾
Once I FINALLY learned my way around dreams, I’m now able to explore some phenomenal features, and find incredible hacks for the missing essential tools.
All while feeling like I’m riding in a cushy limousine.
I’ve never felt such multidimensional access to my frames before. The ability to move frames throughout various layers and tracks is astounding! Interacting in such a freestyle manner is just unprecedented to me.
But as you say, for those interested in the mechanics of cutting, pasting and rigging, I can see how this app is absolutely useless!
However, for all of those who are fanatically obsessed with the fine art of good old-fashioned, traditional frame by frame drawing - Dreams is a SPECTACULAR app for helping us keep our CHOPS up!✍🏽
