- For the last few years, we’ve been doing a yearly gathering here at the farm on Memorial Day. Some of them have been fairly good size, like last year… where we probably had a couple hundred people in our back yard, celebrating the weekend that we moved into our farmhouse 20 years ago. So this year, though it’s been an unusual last couple of months, we decided to go ahead and have a smaller gathering with some local friends and families.
I’m aware that there are lots of folks out there that are still in full quarantine, not leaving their homes and not gathering with other people at all yet. But here in the county and town in Tennessee where our farm is, life is pretty much back to normal. The restaurants and most of our businesses are open and neighbors and friends are starting to spend more time together in smaller and larger groups. I know that that probably upsets a lot of people, and I understand. I totally respect where you might be geographically and also personally about things today. But at the same time, I hope you can respect where we are.
So on Monday afternoon... we had a nice little gathering all set up and at 3 pm Indy are were ready for friends to arrive, and the sky let loose and the rain fell hard!
Fortunately, twenty minutes later the sky cleared and we all had a wonderful time sharing a meal, catching up on life, and watching our little ones play together in the playground. But probably my favorite part of the day was just before sunset, we took the kids for a hayride.

Since my birthday, 4/25/20... I’m doing a daily FLOG (farm + vlog) here on RUclips. I’m doing my best to make something and share it… EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. (...or as often as I can with a working farm to run, tv shows to make and a sweet little six-year-old to raise).

Agree. I haul parts for John Deere so it was truly music to my ears. Nothing Runs Like a Deere :)

Flog 23 already. These daily flogs get better and better daily. Every captured moment is so special and every camera angle was done so perfectly. Most enjoyable to watch. Rory your mild mannered nature and your country tone puts my soul at ease. Your family is so lucky to have you. And from the way you all are together they sure love and respect you. Everyday the simplest things become these amazing flogs. Thanks for taking the time to make them daily. ❤️
The memories you are creating will forever be engrained in Little Indy's heart and all of those who were with you. May God bless you.

RORY!! You make me want to have more children and move to Pottsville! LOL! Now, that's never going to happen for multiple reasons, but if I were 10-20 years younger, I would! Seriously, to live in your community, my children have the opportunity to attend a one-room schoolhouse, and spend special occasions with the Feek family, enjoying a hayride sounds like a beautifully written story from a book. You're such a blessing to your family, friends, and the entire community. Thank you for sharing your life, and I look forward to revisiting the farm when the concerts begin. Hi Rory & Indy. I think those of us in the country have a lot of advantages. We haven't been overly impacted by this quarantine thing because we live clean, simple lives.We are truly blessed as we continue to pray for the rest of the world. Country Blessings

🤔🤔🤔. Oh how I remember living in TN making party plans then seeing massive clouds coming from the southwest. Racing home to take laundry off the line cus once I’d forgotten and we never found hubbys shorts and shirts all blown away. But rain would soon stop and we’d have a few more hours to celebrate our Memorial Day and then rain back again. Judging from the sky looks like hayride was just in time. What a perfect date to celebrate living in your beautiful home. We’re still not doing what we did months ago cus the numbers keep rising in our county. And I’m still recovering from being taken down by this virus. All I can say is that it was the worst sickness I’ve ever had and I still have not gained my strength or can handle much food without losing it. No blame for how people choose to respond to this but doctors orders is stay at home and don’t take a chance. So I get a chance to enjoy these flogs and maybe dream about once upon a time where this was only a thought and not our reality. And pray a little prayer for all of us throughout this world. Perfect video of a perfect day even with the rain and wondering if you really wanted to be out on that mower lost in thought as you groomed your beautiful place.....home. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Oh what wonderful memories. My daddy used to drive his tractor and take my girls and their friends on hay rides . They were all always delighted and could not wait until the next time.

Greetings Rory Jeff here from Melbourne Australia we call our memorial day Anzac Day well our Anzac Day was very quiet everybody stood at the top of their driveway for a minutes silence for our war dead but one of the things I’m missing at the moment been locked down is the whistle in the hills I live in the Dandenong ranges in Melbourne I want of my favourite sound just the whistles of Puffingbilly and Narrow Gauge steam Railway here in the Dandenong ranges anyway Rory I love your music and your blessings in life Blessings and honour to you and your wife from Jeff
KIWI traveller Yes there was about a half a dozen people in my street out the front of the driveway with a torches and it was not too cold for an autumn morning because we’re Anzacs I did not fight in any war but I do have an uncle that was that Tobruk and I give all honour to them they passed away in our war battles yours Jeff
I had a great memorial day because I flew to Crossville Tennessee for 2weeks to visit my daughter & 2 Grandbabies

That was funny to spend it with your family. I’m 77 and my children would rather I stay home with my pacemaker. I try to do what they ask so they won’t worry. Pray for my daughter as she is frontline doctor in ICU here in Theda Clark Medical Center. I know you are prayer for the pandemic. I love Sweet Indy. I love your book. God bless. had a very quiet Memorial Day. Your weather is what my husband has told me about. He lived in Michigan and it could rain anytime. Now I am a Californian/Oregonian but spending more time in Oregon and we can have weather anytime also.
Spent my day quietly at home grieving a friend and her family that died quite violently..glad yours was awesome...mine was very sad..js... senseless loss...but this is life even in small town Alabama...

Not back to normal here so I could not spend the day with my oldest son and family. I still have mt health and my husband to take care of me. So we were Blessed to beable and alive during this ropugh time.
