I've never found a drugstore concealer that works for my very mature, textured undereyes. I'm enjoying Lancome Teint Idole or the new Anastasia BH concealer. Love your blouse, Gemma. So cute!
I got the elf camo concealer but it’s too drying for me. I didn’t like the elf putty primer either. I’ve passed them onto my 16 year old daughter.I use lots of Revolution pro makeup products and they’re pretty good so I will get the concealers. I LOVE L’Oréal Infallible concealers and Maybelline Age rewind eraser for lighter creamier coverage. I don’t find setting powders a great idea under my own eyes due to lines.
Right now, I’m enjoying L’Oreal Age Perfect concealer- it has a small paddle foot (I’m with you and dislike the ginormous doe foot wands). But, I just got my hands on the new Lancôme concealer in my correct shade, can’t wait to do a full face and try it out. (Wish it’s wand was small too, sigh).
I bought the Lancome concealer because a lot of YT’s recommend it, but I find the coverage too light - and it creases on me. Now I am back to L’Oreal Age Perfect concealer or Nars radiant creamy concealer. None of them are perfect though. Still searching 😳 I have mature, slightly dry skin.
The L’Oréal infallible concealer is so good. Couldn’t agree more Gemma. I have lots of shades in my kit. I know lots of MUA’s who use this regularly too.
The ELF one is brilliant and my ride or die. I'm in my 50's with normal to slightly dry skin and I love it!. Thanks for reviewing the L'oreal one which I was curious about and had considered buying...and now will🙏❤🌹
@@Donna-cc1kt by definition setting spray has alcohol. Some finishing sprays do not. I use Elf Stay All Night Micro Fine Setting Mist currently. It is a VERY fine mist, does not dry my skin out, sets the under eye area with no settling in the lines (and I am using Bye Bye under eye concealer by IT which is so thick, but conceals). Yes it has alcohol.
@@deborahhaberer7276 There are some very good setting sprays without alcohol, like MUFE ones. I do not think that there is a definition that says that setting spray has to have alcohol, it just makes it dry faster and that's it.
Oh begger, just Saturday evening I placed an order with elf ... I almost bought the hydrating concealer but plumped for the Flawless one instead 🤦♀️. If I had just waited 😧. They're on a few squids, so I'll pick up the elf hydrating one shortly. I don't know much about drugstore concealers, but I used to use the Milani one, which was quite good. I lurrrrrve your blouse, it's so feminine, pretty and romantic 😍😍😍. Luv ya loads and loads 💗💗💗💗💗💗
Hi Gemma, enjoyed ya video.I don’t comment much but I would just like to say I really like your hair, the colour brings out your eye colour & really suits you 🙂🌸
I'm 55 and have normal to dry skin . My favorite concealer(not drugstore), hands down, is Lorac Pro Soft Focus Longwear Concealer. Medium to Full coverage.
The Revlon Candid photo ready concealer is my current affordable favourite. I am mid 50's with fine lines around my eyes. I actually like using this one on top of the new Lancome concealer as the Lancome is good at not moving and the Revlon is good for coverage, but the Revlon also works well alone. I am currently rotating 5 different concealers 😁😅
@@nonone347 on the tube it says " no harsh fragrances" and it smells very neutral. I have sensitive skin and don't have any sensitivity issues with it.
I’ve been loving the affordable Pixi Pat Away Concealing Base. It’s a buildable medium to full coverage, very skin like, lasts all day, good for my dry skin. Only 6 colors though.
I bought the Revolution under eye concealer on a whim and I absolutely love it, it's literally illuminates my under eye area like a flipping spotlight ❤
Hmm, well I guess I better give the Elf concealer another try. I fought with it so much and then pitched it in the drawer. I’ll dig it out tomorrow. Thanks for the video Gemma!
Hi Gemma, lately Ive been using liquid corrector by Naked and liquid concealer by Clinique. I use Bobbi Brown Extra eye cream and do set with Pat McGraths powder. Love from NYC g
You mentioned you were a good match for the urban decay foundation with green undertone so I was wondering if you’ve had a chance to try any concealers that come in fair olive. Smashbox and Kosas make some but I haven’t found any reviews of those specific shades.
The Maybelline age rewind is my ride or die. I’ve never repurchased a concealer before and I’m on my third one. Have one color for under my eyes and one for spot concealing. I’m in my later 30’s and my mom whom is mid 60’s loves it too. But always willing to try others. That second revolution seemed nice. I just love my age rewind. It’s definitely perfect for me, and I just bought a backup so that would make it my 4th one 😂
Ooh. Having such concealer issues so I just ordered the Revolution one. My mature skin just gets flaky and looks like I just applied sand to corners and under eyes.
I'm surprised no one ever mentions Kevyn Aucoin's "The Sensual Skin Enhancer" concealer when it comes to affordable concealers. It comes in 16 shades and you get exceptionally fantastic quality AND quantity that lasts you forever! You just need a teeny tiny blob, warm it on the back of your hand and then you can apply it very thinly, sheer or with an extra drop of jojoba oil if you have dry skin. You can even layer it and it never looks caky or cracked - at least not on my dry mid 50s skin! For the seemingly high price, you get 0.63 oz. Imho it's an excellent product!
Love, love your hair Gemma! It is very warming to your skin tone! I'm actually in the process of letting my hair color become natural again & letting the silver start to shine as more has developed I feel since having blond then amethyst hair colors. We'll see how that goes! I have a porcelain to fair skin color w/a cool undertone with soon to be light brown hair again w/natural silver graying &strawberry blond highlights. My eyes are gray. I prefer a medium to full coverage concealer as my undereyes are very translucent. The purplish veins aren't huge but visible on both under & upper lids. The Revolution Pro & the ELF concealer I have been using though not as much as I use to. Don't know why??? They give me the perfect coverage for my wants & I do powder down w/the Pat McGrath undereye setter as it gives a diffused luminous sheen, not oily looking, to my undereyes when I turn my head in various ways. I do have the original Canon concealer too though it's too drying on my undereyes at this stage of my skin development as I age. I may try the mixture of both Cameo concealer varieties to see how that works. Using a small concealer brush w/both of the more fuller coverage ones I have in my HUGE arsenal is my preference along w/following up w/a barely damp sponge. I need to start letting it dry down like you do slightly Gemma before I do this as sometimes it smudges & I'll need to remove/redo it. That may be the key! I do like all of these brands & may try the other concealers in the ones I dont have yet. And I love that you showed the natural lighting as well Gemma! It always helps to see how your makeup looks in this light too. I use an LED Hollywood style makeup mirror to apply in which I can control the level of brightness & love it! But I like to take selfish & post in natural lighting w/out filters or photoshopping. Hugs to you & the rest of the Wolfpack! 🥰💁♀️✌🧡💜🙏🐺🐺🐺🐺
Unpopular opinion - I hate the drugstore ride or die that a lot of people rate: Maybelline Age Rewind. I thought it was terrible - really visible on my skin, couldn’t get a good colour match and no real coverage. I don’t get the hype around it 🤷♀️and I loathe those domed foam applicators. My best concealer is the Estée Lauder Double Wear - blends perfectly, great shade and undertone match for my cooler skin tone (so many concealers are really yellow!) and a tiny amount goes a long way.
I was on the Revolution website last night and saw they had a ton of new affordable concealer choices. Not sure how new the products are but I’m excited to order and try them out! Love this video, Gemma! I have combo/oily skin and my current two favorite affordable concealers are the Covergirl Trueblend Undercover Concealer and the Elf Camo Hydrating Concealer. Honorable mention to the Neutrogena Radiant Creamy Concealer for light coverage! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
I love elf hydrating camo concealer. Wish loreal would come out with a hydrating version of their concealer. Its just too drying and looks crepey on dry down on me. Not flattering. Coverage is insane
Thanks for this. I'm always on the lookout for a good concealer that's not too drying on my mature skin. BTW I wanted to know what mascara you're wearing here but the link just takes me to the home page of Look Fantastic.
Thanks for the recommendations! I have purple shadows (and bags) all hereditary unfortunately. Do you recommend any correctors that are affordable? And how to apply? I use a light dusting of powder over concealer and that holds back too much creasing, but by the evening the purple has pushed through all my defences! Any suggestions gratefully received!
Hi- Naked makes a good liquid corrector, Bobbi Brown makes a cream corrector, MAC has cream corrector/concealer pallets - light, medium or dark. All reasonably priced.
Can u look at colour correctors please? 👍🏼

You look adorable today love your ❤️❤️❤️blouse 🤩
I love the elf hydrating concealer good coverage, doesn't settle and is inexpensive, perfect.
You look so beautiful today, Gemma. Your lip color is amazing!
Maybelline Eraser and the Elf Hydrating one are my faves. But you make me curious about the Revolution one, which looks like the CT Magic Wand. 😍😍😍

Okay. The damp blending sponge with finishing spray spritzed on is THE best way to eliminate under eye creases.
