Josh I love you dude but it is NEVER funny to make that 'joke'. You're well travelled enough to know that if you did that in eg the UK, Germany or the US then you'd have yourself & your luggage pulled along with gun barrels you don't even realise are there being pointed at you. Not to mention the potential disruption it can cause and the amount of flights others risk missing coz you thought saying something like that was funny. I've travelled plenty as well so I can appreciate differences in culture but the "no bombs or guns" quip is NOT considered a joke or funny at anytime.
Like I say. I love you and have followed you for years but i'm kinda disappointed you came out with that.
When next will you fly in Nigeria 😭😭
Lagos (most of southern Nigeria) is so much different from other parts especially the north. People are calmer and friendlier up north. Even Nigerians who live up north hate Lagos and it's unnecessary aggression. Glad you finally had a good review of a Nigerian airline.
I think I have uploaded an amateur video of AZMAN to youtube before. And there are also video from others on youtube, so this is not the first video of AZMAN on youtube, but the first with a better quality and highest views.
What camera and mic are you using
Cool planes and cool crew! My kind of airline! ✈️
Ayo how’s it going Noel?

Oh right like you're some expert on flying Mr Phillips?!?!?!? 😉🤣
Your kind of airplane, Noel? I don’t see the first class lay flat seats, slippers, champagne, or a brunch menu!!
Air Peace might have newer planes, but they don't worth anything if your crew doesn't shine and appreciate their passengers. This airline sets a great example, if you love your job and show gratitude to your customer you will always succeed! Great Job Azman Air :)
I just hope that Azman's social media managers can take advantage of this amazing piece of content to promote their brand.. Well done Josh
My sister works for Azman Airlines as a flight dispatch. I am glad you had a nice flight on their equipment. Visit Nigeria again soon and make sure you fly Azman to Abuja.
I had a look at Blessing's channel and she's just as lovely off-duty as on duty! What a great human being and professional! ❤ May her name come back to her all the time, because she deserves it!

Hi Josh - when I heard you say the words “explosives, bombs & drugs”, I FROZE! If you said that at an airport here in Australia, you’d be locked up, unable to board your flight, even though you were joking 😮!
Same in the USA. You can't joke about that or your journey would be over real quick.
You can't overemphasize how much a friendly crew can mean. I have been on flights that are delayed multiple times but friendly crew thar made it so much better! For me it changes the whole experience! I will overlook so many things when staff are friendly.
@Josh, maybe the word you are looking for is "content".
The reason is due to the culture. In the South people are extremely ambitious. Some people are frustrated that they not where they had envisaged themselves in life. This frustration can be seen in the way they interact with customers.
In the North people are calmer in their approach to life.
Well done to Azman Air.
You are right. Nigerians in the north are more laid back. Everything is intense in the south especially if Lagos was where he landed first
Everyone is kind in kano. Thank you josh. Kano , my city ,my State.👌👌👌
Wow my love to all Kano people
This video has a lot of history for me as well. When I heard you say the aircraft was delivered to BMA I went back and looked and realized I took a photo of it back when it was departing on it's delivery flight out of BFI. I also have only flown on one A340-600 and it turns out to be the one in this video. (As G-VYOU of course) Great stuff! I love when you do these out of the way reviews!!
She is just the loveliest air hostess!!!! Well done young lady you rock! Blessing, you are everything a hostie should be - and this is coming from an ex hostie (1980's)
Some of my most memorable international flights ( 1970s) were on NIGERIA AIRWAYS.
Nigeria Airways ruled the skies over Africa.
Josh, you should've seen their flights from Lagos to JFK.
Btw, I grew up in Nigeria, we were there from 1961 to 1989.
10:54 Max Air has 3 747-400s but only one is active at the moment. 11:02 Fun fact : at least 37 Airbus A340-600s are still in service until now.
Dude, it was not clever to make a joke to the security scanner about explosives, bombs, and drugs. As you no doubt know, in many airports around the world saying such things could easily land you in some trouble and/or cause an inconvenience like being questioned by the police and missing your flight.
Yes. An incredibly silly thing to say. Shame on you Josh. You should have been thoroughly searched, thrown off that flight. A very bad example from you.
he's white, no problem!
@@youruncle5555 And in Kano, Nigeria. In Lagos, he could be in trouble. White or not. May be strip searched.
I think Josh hasn't any experience living in a third world country. It is extremly dangerous doing this kind of jokes, not only in Africa.
@@99fededav Third world country is a bit much
A developing country is more appropriate
Most of Azman Air's aircraft maybe old however they really look after them well, when big inspections and bits of work are needed they send them up to the UK to BOH, I see them every now and then landing at the airport
Very friendly and nice crew and the 737 in a good shape for 25 years 🤩
Great review. Should I ever step in Nigeria, i know who to fly with. and yes, customer care is EVERYTHING. In many African countries, they completely don't pay attention to CC. I hope the CC executive at Azman is watching this video, and smiling from ear to ear. Have a safe flight to Johannesburg SA.
Love this review Josh!! I also fly Azman from Kano when I am in Nigeria and agree 100% that their crew really makes the difference. I hope one day we will see them with A220s or even E190s. Great work! ❤👍🏽
The popularity of cabin crew member Blessing's RUclips channel just exploded :)
It certainly has - I visited straight after watching this video , and checked again a few minutes ago - the subscriber count has almost doubled :)
Hi Josh loved the retro look of the aircraft. Blessing was such a great Cabin crew member.
No bombs! No guns! Only drugs! You risked it there, guy there could have misheard you and you could've been in trouble. By the time you explain everything, you could've missed your flight!
he is white... no problems.
@@youruncle5555 in some way you are right. our people literary worship White people thinking he was Jesus
@@youruncle5555 They wouldn't stress anyone for a joke it's not because he's white
2:34 it takes about 14-15hrs to drive from Kano to Lagos... Something I did regularly some years back
Loved how the cabin crew really had all her passengers engaged in her safety briefing. A recent EJ flight I was on I just glanced round and one chap near me was texting and one two seats away was on his phone... Great vlog Josh 😊
Domestic flights have just stopped in Nigeria as the airlines protest at fuel prices going up nearly 400% since beginning of the year!!! Great video.😃
Stop spreading false information please
@@moham.279 it was on various news outlets, BBC and Skynews so maybe you should tell them. So what has really been happening, do tell...
@@belugast, so you mean those news outlets don’t carry false news???.
Airlines in Nigeria announced that they won’t be flying anymore and ground their fleet due to the high fuel prices. Several statements on the airlines social media back that up as well. However the government stepped in and offered a fixed rate for jet fuel at a reduced rate to which the airlines agreed. Hence they decided against the grounding and continued operation. That’s the full story.
@@moham.279 read the above comment from Josh. I will leave it there, no furrher comment required.
Hi Josh, loved flying on the 737-3/4/500 when I used to as a crew member with British Midland. I have some great memories. Lovely crew on Azman Air.✈️
Jet2 in the UK is also flying a small number of 737-300's on regular service from Northern UK airports.
Thanks for this insight into this unknown airline. What a lovely crew, they really make a trip memorable. Glad to see you finally encountered some peace and smiles in Nigerian aviation! Look forward to watching the next experience on Air Peace to JNB.
My national airline, Air New Zealand, bought the last 737-300's off the production line before it was closed by Boeing, and they flew domestically in NZ until as recently as 2015. Now they've got a very modern fleet which is very boring for avgeeks!
I trained as cabin crew for ANZ on the 737 300. Miss that aircraft alot!
Air Zimbabwe is still flying th 737-200adv, factory bought in the 80s
@@rannymusundire2050 great aircraft as well!
@@rannymusundire2050 that not all good thing it means Africa isn't competing on the bigger stage when we are using outdated aircrafts
my friend at work had to suddenly travel back to nigeria since his mother is on death's bed. he left today from Canada and i have no idea if he will fly on Azman Air on a connecting flight, but when he gets back to my workplace, it'll be interesting to hear his adventure, but only after he's done in rememberance of his mother. cheers josh! great video! see you in the next one.
12:09 They should spray the cabin like whenever I visit Kenya and come back to London they always spray the cabin after closing doors
Their is no way in hell I would be joking about explosives and drugs with someone who already has trouble understanding me to begin with. You are a brave man!
Yeah, if you did that in the US your journey would soon be over.
Obviously you were joking about no bombs just drugs but if you were traveling in the US, you would have been immediately detained, your luggage searched and your body searched and you might even been stripped searched. You likely would have missed your flight. In the US the TSA does not play around.
Canada probably the same I think or stricter
but he's white... no problem!
@@youruncle5555 Nope, still big problem. They likely dont have guide lines about people making jokes like that. If they did, it would have been a problem.
Brings back memories of traveling in Nigeria in the 1970s ... DC10s and 737s on AIr Nigeria. And a prop KanoJos. I wonder if the dash situation has changed.
It has changed now lagos to jos 3 or 4 times a week.
I like the videos in Nigeria. It seems like you've adopted a more relaxed unfiltered style. It has a more natural flow which I enjoy. Good work!
Josh, just to let you know that Jet2 in the UK still operates B737-300 to some European & Domestic Routes mainly from Leeds Bradford Airport in the UK if you would like another B737 classic flight 👍
I have worked as cabin crew on 737-200. Now, THAT'S classic and historical! 😁
2:54 Aye, Josh it's okay to open up. We're here for you. Anyways, I rate the friendliness of the cabin crew. Makes the experience feel at home.
Hey merky u are also here? Awesome 😊
Azman air! Friendly crew Makes a happy flight ✈️ ❤️🔥
Josh great review ! It was nice to see the Ex BMA B733 still in service . It looked like you had a good flight experience with a welcoming cabin crew too 👍
Another great and unfiltered video Josh! 👏🏽Experiences are very subjective, I haven’t flown Azman before and so people I know who’ve flown with them all had pleasant experiences.
Although my friend did have his bag flown to Kano from Lagos instead of to Abuja his destination. To tell you how he reveres Azman and how he trusts their services, he didn’t even blame them at all rather he blamed the ground staffs at Lagos airport. Well, who knows!
I can’t wait to try them out someday!
Sadly, the Airline Operators of Nigeria are planning on suspending operations from Monday, 9th May 2022 due to a further hike in Jet A1 price.
Great video overall Josh. I like the way you smile through all the struggles, travelling almost everyday with planes is a very big deal, big ups man👏

Very neat cabin and aircraft, The crew is very friendly and welcoming.

Really like these kind of reviews on less known airlines flying old planes. Good work and congratulations on the promotion of Schalke 04!
This was so lovely, it actually made me happy :) Love the spirit of the crew! Fantastic!
Hello, Josh! I just found your channel and have been bingewatching the past few days. Love the honest reviews of all these exotic airlines. You are also a really likeable guy! I hope you one day will review Norse Atlantic Airways who took over Norwegian Airs old 787 operations. All the best(:
Hi Josh. Glad you enjoyed this one. Indeed Kano people behave in a more friendly way. FYI you have an Ibis hotel very close to Lagos airport, nothing fancy but good standards, price is usually around $85-90. Just in case you plan to come back...😉
And if you do, beer is on me!
That hotel charge me $100 / room in 2018!!!!!

You are such an amazing guy. Your content always put smile on my face. You are welcome to the northern part of Nigeria. You will always be welcome because i am so happy about you showcasing the difference bewteen the airlines you experienced. Thank you so much for your lovely comment, I love the north so much anytime I had Kano layovers back then
You can use your international card on Nigeria ATM. You will get naira.
Not even surprised that Kano was his best Experience, Arewa probably has the nicest people in the whole nation my experience in and out even online tbh
Had my fingers crossed 🤞🏽waiting for this review after the Air Peace review. Turned out great though. Thumbs us Josh. Keep the reviews coming.
Great video, just read earlier that unfortunately Azmann air and 8 other Nigerian carriers have temporarily ceased operations due to rising fuel costs.
That was temporary; all airlines have resumed ops
Lovely Flight and good ground handling and nice cabin crew . Best regards from Germany ❤️
I saw alot of smiling faces from the airline which you said best, you don't need the shiny new bells to win people over when your crew is top notch. Thanks for the review.
I cant agree enough to the fact that one smile can change your whole day. It definitely makes a hell of difference
The colour of those seats !!!.wow...such bold , strong colours
I like when the staff are friendly and they are respectful ♥️♥️
Jet2 in the UK still operate a fleet of 8 737-300s from Leeds Bradford
Great video, Josh! Loving the Africa series so far!
the most interested thing on kano airport is walking to aircraft from terminal by your foot instead jet bridge or bus transporter, it's like avgeeks dream to take tour around aircrafts
The flight attendant has such a beautiful smile . Great service Azman Air.
Kano to lagos is an hour. All destinations in nigeria is max an hour except you use the turbo prop planes then it goes up to 1hr:30mins
Kano to Lagos is actually an hour :15minute .
Not all destinations ,Abuja to maiduguri is an hour plus too .
Wow... yeah beautiful hotel in Kano. flew a Boeing 737 some 8yrs back. Great to see some commendable maintenance culture from Azman Air.
This Africa series is amazing.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I can go to Abuja for 6000...that cracked me up. Calling out how ridiculously high his quoted fare was. That is the naija way. Well done Josh. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
@@maximillianafrancine1451 it's the principle of the process. Even if you can afford the fare you are allowed to haggle, aren't you?

Josh....This is the happiest you have ever been in one of you're videos! Great content as always1
I've never flown Azman air before. I'm still a dependent person so my Dad prefers to book me on Air Peace or Ibom because he feels they are safer but I knew Azman is a good airline just that it's so underrated. Also I agree with you that people from Kano are very nice. Not all of them anyway but most northerners are very nice people. But if there is any airline I miss right now, it's Arik air. They have one of the nicest cabin crew I've ever met but now the airlines is not progressing as it use to before. Great video btw.
I a expatriate in Nigeria and hav stayed in few other countries too . My stay of 25 years in Kano has been the most blessed time . Tge people of kano are tge best u hav seen anywhere in the world. Another great video Josh! All the best with ‘Air Drama’ later on hope you have a better flight this time ✈️
Hiya Josh, good content as always. Just to let you know Jet2 are still using 737-300s in the UK during the summer 2022 season out of their Leeds Bradford base (along with 737-800s).
Are they going to Jersey with them?
@@Trek001 There are a number of flights from Leeds to Jersey being operated by the 737-300,maybe not all of them. If you are flying, check the seating plan, if its 26 rows it's a 737-300
I think I'd be more comfortable on Air Peace . Its what I'm used to in Cleveland . Josh you are the best at this because you have an awesome sense of humor !
According to Flightradar 24 the A340-600 also operates to Nairobi.
Kano being in the Muslim region of Nigeria, is Muslim, and so (given the name, 'Azman') means that it was a Muslim airline, hence the culture of kindness and hospitality, given ISlam, it is always from the heart.
I LOVE this! I spent my childhood in Ife and Zaria! Thanks for bringing me smiles today! Great memories❤
Wow, Josh! That was way cool! I've flown a 732 and a 734. How is the 733 in comparison? It looked like a gorgeous plane. Your F/A was a real sweetie! It must have been so refreshing, not being told off for filming. That A340 was VERY strange! Two business class seats?! So weird! Oh no, you're flying Air Peace to J'burg? Yikes. You might have to divert before you get there because J'burg has had a fuel shortage. Good luck flying Air Peace again. That's brave!
Hi Josh thanks for the video/review

Classic plane I went on one to Prague with CSA airlines a few years ago
Josh you should try Canadian airlines that have 737 classics are a couple of them
Wow, that is so cool 😎 👍
(I had a girl pen-pal in Kano for 8 years, once upon a time).
- My dad #2 was a captain with Icelandair - and some summers he took a couple of months' work with "Kano Air". (This was in the 80's). -Apparently the owner of the airline really liked my mom ... and offered to *buy* her for ...what was apparently a *really large* heard of 🐫 camels !
😍
(Btw; the work was captaining Boeing 727's. -Pilgrim flights to Mecca, I believe).
Hey Josh...love from India...I am sure that you heard the news that Jet Airways is back in the skies. I can't wait for your Jet Airways review video and I hope i get to get onboard very soon as they open up for passengers.
Actually I prefer those old seats more than modern slim seats. My last time I flew such a 737-300 was 3 years ago on Serbian Aeroput from Beograd to Berlin TXL
If you enjoy the classic 737's, come out to Canada.
Well played Azman Air 👏
The interesting fact is that it is only the 1st two flights out of the city by most of the airlines that are ever on time this days. AirTW (Time Waster), sorry, Airpeace flipped post Covid-19 and hasn't recover since then. I fly Dana as the most averagely on time airline today in Nigeria
Thank you Josh. I appreciate you taking time to risking your life to expose the rot in Peace airline. I used to fly this airline whenever I visited Nigeria to Abuja. Now I have to stay away from Peace airline. The unfriendly crew I believe stems from the fact that jobs are offered to unqualified crew who are well connected rather than on professionalism. Once again thank you.
Am Nigerian, thank you for your honest review 💚
Kano is the headquarters of mosquitoes.. It would have been pleasing to link up with you and take you round kano.. Its a historic city
I flew on an Air Peace 737-300 from Abuja to Port Harcourt in this February just gone.
