  • We went behind the scenes of the “Walking With Dinosaurs” show, a live performance in London featuring 18 life-sized animatronic dinosaurs. We saw how each of the realistic animatronic dinosaurs is controlled, and it's quite a coordinated operation.
"Walking With Dinosaurs" is currently touring Europe and tickets are available on their website: www.dinosaurlive.com

You know there was a funny blooper when I went to one of these shows
They brought out a torosaurus and it took a dump in the arena, they did a little science lesson on fossilized dino poop, but when they finished up the bit. The lights turn out to clean the set, but you could still see the fake poop in the middle of the floor
It must’ve been on a rope and had wheels because they pulled it off the set really fast, I just watched a pile of shit slide across the floor like a hockey puck me and my dad were in tears from laughing so hard, me and about 8000 other people who saw it in Madison Square Garden.

They’d probably freak out or at least think it’s the real deal (i.e. an actual animal), certainly is convincing enough for me. That said, I doubt you’d be able to just take them out in the wild since they need flat terrain for them to be able to move from the looks of it.

Predators usually hunt by smell, prey usually have good hearing, sight is usually not the most important sense.they do not smell or sound like a real animal so it would be like introducing them to a backhoe,it would be amazing if they could fix that and we could see true interactions
