o rly? Not much specification done in this video he is showing you but not walking you through it with all the materials and measurements. It's like watching a cooking show but without all the ingredients shown and amount needed. And these aren't everyday materials, these are building materials not everyone has. No hate intended but some things in this comment are wrong.
"bleh just take this wood and these metal bits and this cardboard and glue and then BAM medigun. K BYE GUYS i don't give measurements or time it took or anything!"
Because he made it to fit his hand. If you wanted to make one yourself you would make your own measurements. But, I do kind of agree with you because this is a tutorial.
You just earned yourself a subscriber. I'm currently making a medigun and this will help immensely. (I absolutely love how you made the medic's backpack; so creative!)
Use a #2 spring from ace hardware for that moving handle. It's strong and will make the handle action much more smooth. And it'll be more aesthetically pleasing than rubber bands.
+ian munoz I built this to the size of my hands, which are probably much larger than yours. If you built it to that scale, you'd hate it. Please check out this video... I promise it will help you: ruclips.net/video/x9xKYZBk1f8/видео.html Best of luck.
So, to create a scale reference for yourself (If you cannot find exact measurements.). Find a side-view picture of the Medigun, and open it up in an image editing software (I reccomend GIMP.), and scale the image up until the scale handle of the Medigun fits your hand on the screen. After you get it properly scaled, you will find that it does not fit on your monitor (Unless you have a Television hooked up to your computer...). So carefully export a series of images. Making each image a section of the Medigun. As if you were gonna print it out in sections and tape together a lifesize blueprint. Once you are done doing that, open each image on fullscreen. Then lightly tape a paper to your monitor, and GENTLY trace your section with pencil, or a non-bleeding writing tool. Repeat this step with all the images until you have traced your entire Medigun. Once you are done, tape all the papers together, and cut them out if you please. You will now have a life size (To fit you.) drawing of a Medigun. Use this to reference back to, and use as a guideline for when you build. This method also works for other props.
A great addition would be to tape/glue/staple/velco a long red ribbon in the nozzle and have the end of it velcro'd as well. So then you can attach it a friend and be a pocket medic.
Could you please make a list of specific materials and lengths of them so to make everything easier for everyone who wants to make this. I looked at your props equation video and that didn't help me because you don't know the exact measurements of parts there are or the size of something that doesn't exist. Please respond.
Great tutorial! I'm making this now and had the barrel down (By the way, if you don't mind spending more money, a pvc or rubber coupler works wonders as the tip of the barrel) but I didn't know how I would do the rest, so thanks a ton~
Wow man, that's good. I don't play much mvm so yeah..... the chances of me getting an australium legit are low. And i don't have enough money to throw it at an in game item soooooo :)
Dear Gunnyboy, I find this to be an amazing project, and I am wondering if a cardboard box around the same size for the main piece would be a good alternative to the plastic shelf container.
You sir need a medal for my job I am a prop designer for a movie company so I see creative skills daily but even I am impressed you should get a job with warner bros :P
Sorry I don't make props from paper anymore. If you are trying to make props from paper just cut out shapes of a side view of the prop, then make front back and bottom sides, and glue or tape it together.
the beginning reminds me of an howtobasic video xD whatever...I really like your videos and the effort you put into them. Sub :3 (hope the english that I used is correct!)
Gunnyboy That'd make a lot of sense....and maybe I could just use ABS plastic pipe connectors to help rigidity instead of mounting it using wood? I don't have any saws, so maybe that would be a better option. Guess I'll just need to tinker around with it, some.
pretty nice video. but it would help if we had measurements to work with * or a template * also.. your camera is rather shaky. consider investing in a tripod?
So a cosplay even is coming around the corner, and I really need to try to make one of these, but I have a problem- I don't have a sense of scale. What kind of sizing/blueprints did you use to make this? Very much appreciated, --Ashley
I know this video is older but I was wondering if you could put the measurements for each piece in the description. Or how to find measurements from your reference image. Thank you!
Hello, i would like to know what did you put on the front of the gun ? The carboard ring at the end of the principal pipe, is it empty ? did you made a hole ? Sorry for my awful english but i'm a french guy whom is making his first cosplay ^^'.
Hey, thanks for the question! To cap off the end, I cut out a piece of cardboard in a circular shape with a hole in the center. I glued the piece to the pipe, and carefully pulled the center out to make the end round. I painted a little red dot in the center of the pipe to look like the light in the medi gun. Hope this helps.
Coffee and Radiation don't forget... it breaks easily... A friend of mine made a sword out of modeling foam. even coating it with filling cream didn't make it stronger. It broke.
Gunnyboy's guides: Showing how you can take your normal everyday materials into Godly amazing props.

You could still give measurements then we could adjust them to our size. go get a ruler!

I'm making something you guys have asked for for a long time... It's a surprise. ( :

What are the measurements for the front grip, the lever, and all that stuff? Just wondering because I'm going to go as the medic for Halloween.

Dude that Looks sick!
It Is Amazing! and you should make a force-a-nature,dead ringer, and a flare gun and if you did that would be awesome!
WOW that is the LAST time I use youtube stabilization. EVER!!!!
Vey cool!!! Force-a-nature, Spy's revolver and Demoman's Eyelander would be freakin awesome!!!

how much did this cost? and what tools and materials did you use.
hey man awesome as usual! you should do one on the rescue ranger or the frontier jusice
Still... Great job on the epic build. Medic is my Favorite.
For the front of the gun, how did you make it? I know you used cardboard, but what was the main structure of it?
I love this guy, i love this
Wow! Your really talented!
I'm gonna make that for the comic on I'm going to next week. Thanks for the lesion
that ending omg..
If this is so easy to make, why isnt it for sale?!
You've helped me make a medi-gun thank you.
Thanks dude! I wish I had a garage to really do all this stuff in...hard to spray paint/sand/saw in an apartment...
This might sound like a weird idea, but you could probably find an old, open field and paint there. If not, what about your apartment's parking lot?
Gunnyboy That'd make a lot of sense....and maybe I could just use ABS plastic pipe connectors to help rigidity instead of mounting it using wood? I don't have any saws, so maybe that would be a better option. Guess I'll just need to tinker around with it, some.
Tinkering around with it is the only way to make it work. Good luck.
The force a nature, beggars bazooka and the diamond back would be awesome
Bonesaw?? BONESAW???? That is The Amputator.
did you make the frame and handle out of MDF or regular wood?
Dude, that's amazing
Thanks a bunch!
thats really cool and accurate
Very cool, nice!

i love the medic music it is amazing
I am 10 years late to tell you I’m going to make this with my dad!
Do you have the dimensions for each piece? Including like almost every liece of wood and cardboard? Also where did you get the shelving container?
WOW! Now thats quallity!
Wow you're good you have earned a subscriber
What would you say the dimensions are for the tub you used as the Medi-pack?
Awesome, I needed this
What are the dimensions of the wood and other parts
That is badass :D
Nice job!
What is the length, and the diameter of the large and small PVC?
good! my house is full of scraps at my back yard i never thinkin about using them
Im wondering how heavy this thing is
Hola! Cuales son las medidas de los cortes de madera?
A box, 2 sets of lids, and a handle with some huge rubber bands painted grey around it. Tada.
You should make a TF2 irl video with these props
Can I have a list of all the materials you used?
Ik that this is 4 years late but is there any other way to make this that doesn’t involve wood? Cause I don’t have access to a saw of any kind.
Could you send me an orthographic projection of this. And Dimension the sketches. I wanna make this but I need to know measurements
That is so cool.
This is awesome
Do you have the dimensions and materials list? This would really help with other (l;ike myself) trying to make the project.
If you were to wire this with leds, you could take it to a whole other level!
With all that wood, isn't it a little heavy for conversations?
PokePanda MCRmy MDF is actually much lighter than regular wood like pine, spruce, etc. The gun itself weighs about 5 lbs. So it's not that bad.
How many inches is the Radius and the length of the PVC?
anyone know where i can maybe find instructions or blueprints for this?
thanks for this tutorial m8 im gonna make one day! thanks again!
wat do u plan on making next buddy
Nice work
Medix. The company Medic works for.
I always thought the medic pulled the handle back towards the gun
Same here before I watched the vid
How Mitch is would a medi gun cost to buy
Can I substitute the wood with cardboard layers to make it cheaper?
Shirshimo , what about foam?
Shirshimo ok
Where can I get buy one of these ?
best gun ever your awesome im gonna subscribe
amazing!
I know this video is older but I was wondering if you could put the measurements for each piece in the description. Or how to find measurements from your reference image. Thank you!
Check my "Propmaker's Equation" video. That should help.
how big is it supposed to be????
Do you have the measurements somewhere?

Instead of wood can you use foam, I feel like wood is a little to heavy and expensive plus I have baby arms and I need something lightweight.
Coffee and Radiation don't forget... it breaks easily... A friend of mine made a sword out of modeling foam. even coating it with filling cream didn't make it stronger. It broke.
