    Thanks for breaking it down and then going over it again. That really helps! I think this will take awhile to get it right.

    I've searched ways to play this other then TABs and think this most right by ear! there is some other fills very briefly in the intro but on the album it could be dubbed or two guitars listening very closely. I play it this way also. great lesson my friend.

    A great job, the only difference I've played it in for years, and I could very well be wrong, I go from a D chord and just walk down the bass moving my middle finger from the 2nd fret of the high e, the F# of the D, to the 3rd fret of the A string to pick up the C note and then go to the G chord, But I leave the high e open here too.
    Then back to the D. Of course, I am doing some hammer ons and and pull offs while doing this.
    The Cadd9 for some reason it never felt right for me. I think I have to keep that as it primarily a D chord. When you played it sounds great, when I play it it just doesn't sound right. But that's guitar I guess, whatever works for you, and sounds good to your ears, go with it! Thanks for taking the time to put this up you're a hell of a guitar player!

      Thanks, man! Yes, whatever sounds good to your ear or good on your guitar is what you should play. My theory is if you learn to play what you like, you're going to like playing your guitar. Using the D chord with a C base and the open high E works just fine. Keep it up, dude! 👍

    Great tutorial, broken into sections that even I may be able to learn, though I may not ever get it up to tempo. Also a great sounding guitar, what’s the brand and model?

    • @TheSmellyTele
      @TheSmellyTele  3 года назад +1

      Hi Steve! It's a Martin Custom D Classic Rosewood with an LR Baggs Anthem pickup. For a mid-level guitar, it sounds pretty good acoustically...but the Anthem pickup makes it sound great!
