Taking me back to my young day's. This is so good. I'm 69 and grew up with some of the best music. Good to be above the grass.
Yes!!!!
Im 62-i agree 100%
Same Era, just a few years older. We did grow up in the best of times and places. I lived in California, Sao Paulo Brazil, Louisiana, Texas, Monterey California, Germany, France and now Arizona. I miss California and France but am happy with home.
@timcooper7845 100% agree with you. Today’s music is trash! I’m ashamed to call today’s music “music”. I’m a product of the 60’s/70’s, and played in a garage band. We did this number so this brings back some memories
right on. 68 going on 18.
I know people think Marshall Tucker is recognized as a bigtime classic (Southern) rock band, but no matter how much praise is heaped on them, they are still the most underrated band in history. Thanks for this video. I need a tissue.
Toy Caldwell is a legend.
underrated is so overrated 😒
NOT TRUE. U dunno whacha talkin bout. Even here up far N , next to Poccia, they are h7ghly esteemed, along w dem Lennerds ...🇫🇮
Very good

One Of The Best I Grew Up With. And Still Listen And Love To This Day
The perfect mix of country and rock.
Easily in my top 5 of all time...

MTB is more country than anything on country radio today
For real.
Damn right ✌️
My favorite Marshall Tucker song😊
never has a song described the depth and the height of a relationship - thanks Toy and the band
I saw the MTB in the early 70s when they opened for the Allman Brothers … they blew me away reh & still do!
Toy and Tommy Caldwell are also both decorated Vietnam Vets.
Yes, fuckin jarheads.

This is music for and from the soul. Thanks for keeping it alive.
Greatest band ever❤❤❤❤😂
I saw them in concert a number of times in Richmond, VA! Love their music!
What a great song and a great great band we took all this for granted back in the day. Just always seemed right and the way it was supposed to be many decades later these guys are gone and so many more and I can’t help but wonder why am I still here doesn’t make sense?
Fantastic! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Absolument fabuleux , quelle groupe malheureusement sous estimé, quel dommage !!!

LYRICS:
I'm gonna take a freight train
Down at the station, Lord
I don't care where it goes
Gonna climb a mountain
The highest mountain
I'll jump off, nobody gonna know
Can't you see, whoa, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me?
Can't you see, can't you see
What that woman, she's been doin' to me?
I'm gonna find me a hole in the wall
I'm gonna crawl inside and die
'Cause my lady, now a mean ol' woman, Lord
Never told me goodbye
Can't you see, oh, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me?
Can't you see, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she's been doin' to me?
I've gone to buy a ticket now, as far as I can
Ain't a-never coming back
Ride me a southbound, all the way to Georgia now
'Til the train, it run out of track
Can't you see, oh, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me?
Can't you see, can't you see
What that woman, she' been doin' to me?
Oh, dear Lord
Can't you see, whoa, can't you see
What that woman, Lord, she been doin' to me?
Can't you see, whoa, can't you see
What that woman, she been doin' to me?
Can't you see (oh, she's such a crazy lady), can't you see
What that woman (what that woman) she been doin' to me?
Can't you see (Lord, I can't stand), can't you see
What that woman (oh), she been doin' to me
Can't you see (I'm gonna take a freight train), can't you see (I'm down at the station, Lord)
What that woman, she been doin' to me (ain't never comin' back, oh boy)
Can't you see (gonna ride me a southbound, now)
Can't you see (all the way to Georgia, Lord)
What that woman, she been doin' to me? ('Til the train run out of track, oh)
Recorded: Aug 1981
One of the great underated guitarist.
Lord.
Followed them since the beginning days luv hearing Toy singing this classic as Doug Gray would take it over and sing it mostly. I think Toys voice got too raspy,LOLL!..
That is dickie betts, not toy caldwell
@@bankerlies6121 Nope that is Toy check the thumb pickin' he was one of only a few that use that style
Losing his brothers Tommy and Tim broke him. Then he died about 93.
@@joycebazan6628 I was personally into Toy Caldwell pretty heavily with guitar in those days.He died from a coke induced heart attack sadly say no to drugs its bad news.I sing and play Abs song all the time on the guitar its a tribute to his wife very pretty and now a little more sadder that they are both gone now. Im a Vietnam vet too....
What year
1981
I was lucky to see MTB, CDB and Juice Newton in Toronto. Fantastic concert no doubt!
Women are the most beautiful and amazing gift of God. Yet most destructive beautiful creatures. So that's why I love them. Don't have one.
