I bought one of these when they first came out as a demonstration tool when teaching students on various ways to putt. I retired from teaching and stored this putter away. Decided to revamp my swing and try and compete as a amateur senior player. Found this putter started practicing with it and I'm amazed on how accurate this method is. Looking back I'm surprised this didn't take off and become more popular. Get one if you can, it's worth it.
Left eye dominant, open stance makes a massive difference for me, especially for judging distance. It just allows me to see right down the line, which I can't do with side on putting because my right eye has to do the work and my left is closed off.
It's a natural way to putt. I always tell people if I am going to give you $100 to roll a ball into a hole, how will you stand? Think about that! Thank you for your response! More putters coming soon!!!!
Wow! I played a lot of hockey and this style reminds me of a hockey shot. It works so good for me that my buddies went from ribbing me about my wide open stance to copying me because I have gotten sooo good at putting! I have been telling them I can use BOTH eyes and have a new found incredible 'touch' that I never had before in my life. ((35 years of golfing). I'm actually very shocked that I don't see ANYONE else do what I do. And i'll never go back to the old traditional way.
I think you are right about this. Been trying it too and the two eyes give a powerful sense of distance so pace is much better. One forgets that on a breaking putt if you get the pace wrong then you won’t make the putt no matter how good your line is. Been rolling putts to 1 foot from 40 feet now. I’m not going back.
Hi Daryl. Yes, we invented the putter way back in 2003/2004. Happened when the owner tore his hamstring and couldn't crouch over anymore. 100% makes sense to putt this year and is a very natural feel! Thanks for posting. -The Hammy Team
