- In this video, I show a safe unboxing, to give you an idea of what to expect if you order a gun safe. I hope you find it interesting. The safe in the video is a Liberty Revere which is basically the same as a Centurion except that it is a Tractor Supply Co. exclusive version. It is a 30 gun capacity safe. (Now, I just have to buy 29 more guns to fill it. The rest of mine fell in a lake during a boating accident.) I got it on sale for $699 plus tax and shipping was $150. You can also pick it up in the store. In addition to the zoom reason I mention, I really did not want to film my house, you are not here to see a couch and chair, LOL! Do you want to see how I add lighting to the safe, let me know in the comments!

Thanks for the video. This is an aspect of gun ownership that doesn't get covered enough. Can't wait to see all the goodies you put inside.
Congrats, on adding the safe for your guns. It very funny how all the guns we own fell in the lake. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for focusing on the fire rating several times. Like most people I always want the best features, but after your comments I can literally see the fire station from my house so 40 min fire rating is plenty for my needs.
If you live in the woods, have something to put out fires. Most of us have fire extinguishers posted in multiple different places. Remember people YOU are your first line of defense.
Nice safe thanks for the video. 👍🏼
Hello Mr. hammer,
Thanks for the update, love the Liberty Centurion (18)
Be well
I have the same safe, purchased from TSC, and I have no complaints.
All of us in Florida have in our house a variation of that same painting. I'm pretty sure they hand it out with your drivers license.
I love my Liberty Safe. Got the 'Fat Boy' 70+ gun, combo lock. Extreme value for the price I paid. Couldn't be happier. Sure it's slower to get into but if an electronic lock fails you have (in most cases) have the safe cut open.
Appreciate the video Sir. You saved me an additional $300 by going to Cabela's & buying there ProVault. 🍻
Yes, Let's see a light kit video, thanks always informative.
I hate portrait too, but I shot my first Liberty Safe video in portrait mode for the same reason. For my second Liberty video portrait mode wasn't necessary since I was basically doing a battery change video. Gr8 vid as usual. 🔫 🇺🇸
It's safe to say this will be a good video.
Just bought one of these today at Tractor Supply for $699. Great deal and a very nice safe. I am very interested in the installation of the light kit
Was it on sale right now it’s 899 I was going to hold out to Black Friday but would like to know if it goes on sale from time to time thanks if you could answer
This was exactly the video I needed! Thank you so much for posting this!
Liberty safes are are great. I opted for the old fashioned dial combination, just my preference. What I would suggest is buy the rifle rods. A bit expensive for what they are but they make much more room in your safe compared to the traditional racks.
Good video. I would like to see the video about the light kit.
Good Timing. I was actually looking, online, at those yesterday because, with my son's shooting sports, I need more storage space. I hope you didn't get it from the Bartow Store, because I was going down Thursday to look at it. I'm going to do the light kit and Dehumidifier heater inside also, when I get one. I'm just not sure exactly where I'll be able to install it at the house when I do.
Another great video. I’m sure you’ll have that full in no time.
If you don’t mind. What does the depth measure including the handle?
Great information thank you for sharing 🙏
just bought this safe great for the money but was wondering if anyone had trouble fitting their long gun inside. My shotgun touches the bottom of the top shelf. didn't know if theres a good way to remove that top shelf and adjusting it higher
Please do a light show.
Light kit install please
I’m considering buying this safe
Thanks
Great vid, please do some updates with the lights and when it’s all loaded up! Thanks!
Have you researched putting a Starwheel handle on it?
Definitely show us how to do the lighting. Any tips on finding this safe on a good deal? Do they randomly have sales or during holidays? I’d like to get one
You can find some good battery operated motion sensor lights on Amazon that attach with velcro. Hope this helps.
How did you handle the shipping damage? Did tractor supply give you a credit or a discount for the shipping damage or did you have to send it back?
Can you tell me if there is a knock for a light kit, or does this accept the liberty light kit available on the liberty site?
There is a video on how to remove a safe from a pallet that one person can perform… not difficult when correct procedure is performed
Wierd! I was at my local TSC and their display model had 12 guage steel. Wonder if that is a newer upgrade .
Does this safe come with a key to get in incase your locked out
No, their higher end safes do but the Centurion line is either a dial or electronic with no "backup".
Does the safe tip forward when opened ? I'm liking at one, but I dont want to get a safe if the door is too heavy where it makes it tip
You are going to want to bolt it down ,Preferably to concrete. Thieves could carry it away easily if you don't. Also you will want a thin rubber pad between the safe and the concrete. Just setting it on the concrete promotes rust.
Couple questions:
Is it possible to move this with a dolly with the help of your old lady?
Is there any way to bolt it to a wall from the back of the safe?
Help with an old lady? I wouldn't advise. And Bolt it from the back also no. Not a good idea (fire/moisture/water damage possibility. But you can bolt it fron the ground.
Late I know but I have this safe. A dolly and strap it's movable with 2 people, especially if you take the door off. The door lifts off if opened, as it's an external hinge. My home has a crawlspace and is 4 block high, my brother and I combined weigh less than 300 pounds, easily moved it. I have wood floors and swapped rooms for it later on, was able to slide it by myself and no damage to the floor with the door on. The door weighs as much as the safe without it, so a two person job to find those pins, lol.
how do you change batteries on this model?
How difficult do you think I'd be to move this down to a basement with a couple people and a dolly?
Easy, especially by removing the door, it lifts off and drops the weight in half.
Is this model made in CHY-NA?
Why do these gun safe manufacturers keep stating that their safe can contain 16-24-30 and so on we all know that is not true
Just bought this at tractor supply for 650
Sorry I had to give you a thumbs-down. It’s the first of All your videos I have not thumbed Up.
Vertical Video is NEVER acceptable. You may not have wanted to appear on camera, but you have before. Perhaps obscure your face and/or unbox it in the garage to not show your home; but please, you could have had your Camera Op move in for close-ups, which would have shown much more detail. At least the audio improved about 5 minutes in.
Please consider my suggestions for your next large-scale demonstration. Nowadays, good quality video is no longer “Rocket Surgery”.
I really enjoy and appreciate your presentations but this one was way Sub-Par. I Will Continue to recommend your videos to friends and family.
It wasn't about avoiding being seen as the fact that zooming far enough out to get all of a safe in view would be the equivalent of seeing it from across the street. Without incessant zooming and panning you would see no details. This is just what it takes to do something tall and skinny like a safe
@@HammerStriker I really hesitated to say anything and sure hope you were not offended - criticism was not my intent. Many decades in Television just got the best of me. Details are key ingredients in your reviews and are excellent. "Incessant" camera movements can be avoided by judiciously moving in to focus on different areas.
Another note regarding the vertical aspect of the safe: True, if it were being displayed on a vertical device (as social media fans insist that some apps require) however, your videos are formatted in 16:9 to begin with, and you had to fill the 'pillar bars' with the Grand Canyon. Had you framed the height of the safe in landscape, its image size and detail on the screen would have been exactly the same!
Only positive remarks meant from here. I enjoy your work!
