Tim, I am down in central Florida and the rain is a really of life. Have you ever had problems with leaks from rain? I have been steering away from convertible tops due to my fear of leaking.
Daaaaamn! You got the best deal of the day ... And for that year a 1998 still looks surprisely good. The corvette is 'Hot' and never seems to go out of style... plus the prices have gone down a whole lot! Nice video Man!!

Just bought a 1998 myself. Totally agree on forgetting the Z06 C5 the price does no Justice. My C5 I paid 15k for and it came supercharged with cold air intake and cat back exhaust with only 35 thousand miles. Can't complain at 495 crank horsepower for that price 🤷🏻♂️
Very well-stated. Let me know if you spot an auto C5 around 10K. I know. I stink at driving a manual. Growing up, I just was not exposed to them enough to learn to drive manuals very well.
4 reasons for buying a base over a z06. 1: Removable targa top. 2: Larger hatch and more storage space. 3: It costs a lot less. 4: With the couple grand you save, you can easily modify it to make more power than the ls6.
The caffeine and octane at perimeter mall in Atlanta the first Sunday of every month is usually a pretty good time. It's not as good as it used to be since they started filming a tv show out of it, but still pretty good.
I got a 1998 red convertible C5 I drove it from Chillicothe Ohio to Dallas Texas , and love it messing with the mustangs on the road
Have an '02 convertible since '05..Drove it to the National Corvette Museum from Philly in '16. Great car..Shopping for an additional C7 now
