even here in germany it's a very underrated and not well known car, cars like passat b6 (which the car is based on) are very popular, but that one is rather rare i'd say, stoked to buy it as my first car in few months :D
I just discovered these existed. This is the only car that has managed to tempt me away from Mercedes I cannot believe that they have not sold damn near millions of these. These are spectacular cars, a steel top convertible that when new was less than $40,000. This car is a class act And these will be true future collectibles
I have the same exact car, except black leather interior. The major difference is mine has the 3.2L VR6 with the 6 speed automatic transmission. I also have the F1 style paddle shift manual option on the steering wheel, for manual control of the automatic transmission, crazy fast car! I also love my EOS! I bought it for a quick flip, that was six years ago. It’s my favorite driver in my VW collection! ❤❤❤!
You're not suppose to wash your EOS in an automatic high pressure car wash. It will damage your seals, use only a hose. Read your owner's manuel for roof and seals maintenance
I can see your passion for it. I’ve had mine since new and it always brings a smile to my face. Even in the rain, with the glass sunroof, it’s amazing and handles beautifully. Good you got the manual transmission. Easy and fun! Great looking car! 👍
@@connorloughlin8622 Mine, which is a 1.4TSI seems to slightly lack power at 120-140km/h, but then again, it's not supposed to be a race car and at lower speeds it's OK. So far, it's been amazing to drive a cabrio whenever I want it and a standard car with roof when it's cold or raining.
I have this car is a 2009 EOS Luxe same color black interior. I would love more videos about this I need to fix the convertible top that cord broke on the passenger side. I'd like some more information and some knowledge on how to repair and fix this car I love it it's my favorite car in the whole world❤
Max torque at 1800 RPM? VW's really love low revs somehow, if you can drive in a gear you can pretty much always accelerate as well. Makes it way easier to drive than a lot of Japanese brands for instance.
Don’t get one unless you’re mechanical minded or have extra money. Love mine but require lots of know how & upkeep . Not a trouble free car but I enjoy putting on water pumps, window regulators, timing chain tensioners & doing a crazy transmission fluid & filter change but she is a very good looking car
damn really? im not a car guy but was thinking of getting this car with my gf as she likes pretty cars such as the eos. is it really not worth the hassle? i found a few online im ready to see in person
@@kevintat4930 I hate to disappoint you but I’m just letting you know my experience. If you have to have a convertible I like a Miata ( I’ve got one of those also ) by the way I’m not a young man I’m a disabled cancer survivor 68 yrs old but I still love the sports cars & I can still turn a wrench & have lots of spare time
Please for the love of God, don't put remote start on it unless it's from Volkswagen it will cause you nothing but pain and electronic gremlins eventually
I wouldn't say its BS, just maybe a little exaggerated because he had just bought it. My golf mk7 has been in the shop so I've been driving a friend's EOS for the past week. The suspension is super soft, perfect for gliding over speed bumps and pot holes, not so great for cornering. Also its really easy to be smooth with the manual transmission in this car, way more forgiving than my golf.
Love my car. Not many people know this car exists (depending on where you are in the states) and makes everyone look at you. Best college car ever

@@natandirt You wont regret it! If you can, try to order a windeflector online. That baby completes the car and gets a lot of compliments. :D
I'm about to test drive an automatic version this saturday for my daughter

Probably a dumb question but does the sun bother you through the glass roof or does the tint take away all the brightness and heat
Just bought a similar one also from 2009. All I can say I just love it
Thinking about buying one also! but I've heard the throttle response has a bit of a delay in it, how's yours been since having it?

You have at the top of the windscreen a wind current device that reduces buffeting inside the cabin.

Actually the engine doesn't have to be on but it strains the hell out of the battery running those pumps
I like it. Can’t put a remote start on a manual tho.
This is a great car..fun! High Luxury at an affordable price.

A friend of ours owns an eos cabriolet. It's light blue
How much does it cost to fill up on gas?
It has a 14 gallon tank and takes 93 octane or above, but in my area gas can cost up to 35 dollars for about 11 gallons of gas
