We show features and details that are on the particular model being shown. Performance data, safety equipment and the like are usually not shown due to the already enormous amount of videos that cover the aforementioned topics.
    We like to cover everything from classics to high-end and everything in between.

    Thanks for the comprehensive tour! I want to learn more about the roof leak tendencies before the 2009 models. I see more from 2006-2007 for sale used. Still, this makes me want one!

      After I saw one at a local car show, I thought it was a perfect car. However, after test driving one...I wanted nothing to do with it. The top seemed like an expensive problem waiting to happen. It was very uncomfortable and I was surrounded with cheap plastic everywhere. I went ahead and bought a Mercedes C class instead. Fifteen years later I still have my Mercedes and it has nearly 150K miles on it. My neighbors bought an EOS that year and it was nothing but trouble from day one. It was cute....but cute only goes so far.

    Very nice video BUT I don't think that this is a Komfort model that he is showing. The Komfort model does not have the auto-dimming rear view mirror, 18" wheels, or power passenger seat. Those are things you get when you upgrade to the Lux model. Possibly were add-ons to this car, but wanted to point that out. Overall, this was a very well done video. Thanks for taking the time to make it.

    I'm going to buy an Eos once I have enough money. One (Eos) I've seen for sale online (on a website you can sell anything) is a Eismeer Blue from 2008. A few questions about VW Eos: how often should I treat the seals? What's the best way of keeping the top in working condition? How does it handle different weather conditions?

    • @18t4motion
      @18t4motion 5 лет назад +4

      Just bought an Eos myself. From what I've read you should treat the seals every 6 months to prevent leaks.

    I own one and they have many issues top leaks when it is a driving rain. the fuel pump went out and I been working on it for a while now. Check engine light is always on. Its pretty much junk the transmission got un happy when the fuel pump died. Car is a nightmare. would I buy one again? I dont know I drove it for 8 years and got pretty good sevice. I need to take to the dealership to have them fix it. the electric window quit I had to have a bodyshop fix the window. It wont go up all the way now always a leak that is very anoying. I think I need a new car. the Air conditioning stinks so badly because you have to clean the A coil. the kids steped on the console cup holder and destroyed it. the defroster sucks you cannot see out unless you turn on the Air conditoner with the heater. It was cool for a long time now it just sits in the drive way. the door panels came unglued and now they sag. Not happy with it anymore.

    • @NeighborhoodCarReviews
      @NeighborhoodCarReviews  6 лет назад +3

      Be leary of the top mechanism. They require periodic oiling as per the owner manual. You MUST follow those guidelines without fail, or the top will not function properly. Also, know that Volkswagens are expensive to maintain as they age. Parts can be costly as can the labor involved with them. Overall, I'd say you would be ok, just know it's a 10-year old VW. 12,000 miles per year is pretty good, and if the previous owner took care of it, you should be fine, but don't take my word for 100%. Every car and situation is different.

    • @KingKromah
      @KingKromah 6 лет назад

      Neighborhood Car Reviews I bought the car but the top is not coming down. The passenger window is stuck, should I go to a Volkswagen dealer? It's basically not a convertible if I can't get the top to come down.

    • @NeighborhoodCarReviews
      @NeighborhoodCarReviews  6 лет назад +3

      I would, just to see if it’s repairable. Did the top go down before you bought it? I assume you tried it. Also, with VW’s the parking brake HAS to be set to lower the top. Also, there is a divider in the trunk that has to be in the proper position to lower.

    • @KingKromah
      @KingKromah 6 лет назад

      oh really i didn't know that. NO it didn't open at the dealership but they said they would fix it. I'm taking it to Volkswagen and they will do a detailed analysis of the car for only $75. They will tell me everything wrong with it.

    • @NeighborhoodCarReviews
      @NeighborhoodCarReviews  6 лет назад +1

      $75 for a full diagnostic check is a pretty good deal from a dealer. Hopefully it's nothing big or very expensive. I know in the Porsches and Volkswagens I have driven, the park brake has to be set and the car in park as well as the trunk divider in place, as I stated previously. That's always a good place to start, but having the dealer go over it is also good. I probably would have done that before buying it, but I failed to tell you that previously. I hope everything turns out fine.
