    The injectors are connected to the fuel rail directly under the intake manifold on the passenger side. If you lean down and look under there is a tunnel just under your vacuum lines you replaced. Be careful of the tin can on the pass fender and on the front driverside. The plastic gets britle and the barb fittings snap off easily. If you have air blowing out of your defrost or floor vents when you are accelerating start checking around the can for vacuum leaks. If your cruise doesn't work or is hit and miss check the driverside can.

    THE OLDER I GET, THE SIMPLER I LIKE MY LIFE. And the inline 6 sounds alot simpler and more RELIABLE than the 5.4L
    I bought a 2006 f150 4x4 for $7000 cdn 10 ys ago and already sunk another 7-8000 in Raptor bodykit, tranny and 35 inch tires.
    IF the motor goes , will i be able to put an inline 6 in place of the 5.4 L and whatever tranny an Xlt came with?

    That's a beautiful truck. That inline 6 is a beast off road! Never been stuck with that low end torque!

      check out my newer videos on my truck i just lifted it 8 inches, and foreal ive only gotten stuck once and its cause the frame and axles were touching the ground, besides that the low end 1st gear has always done the trick for me

    I have pretty much the same truck 1994 f150 xl, I changed to carpet, the vinyl holds in a lot of water and rusts. I had my cat pretty much just disconnect and I drove it all summer straight piped it was the best thing haha. I am excited to keep working on it for next year.

    I think this body style is one of the top 5 best looking of all time. 1. Your truck
    2. 67-72 f-100
    3. 53-56 f-100
    4. 48-52 f-1 and 61-66 f-100
    5. 73-79 f-100 and f-150
    6. 80-86 f-150
    7. 04 and on f-150
    8. Aluminum f-150
    9. 02 on f-250 and f-350
    10. Aluminum 2016 on f-250 and f-350.
    Honorable mention- 67 Chevy swb and that's it

      @@williamstidham2163 at one time, yeah when l was younger, but now my thinking has changed. I don't like aluminum in truck bodies, aluminum is not strong enough esp. for a truck. Also l don't like how Ford keeps bringing out a different engine every 3 years. Also Ford has kept the wheel openings round for too long. Boring. I've had 3 dodges that failed me big time, one as soon as the warranty expired. I've got me a 2003 Chevy s-10. And 69 F-100. Both have turned out very reliable.
      My list now: style only.
      1. 69 F-100 swb, 03 Chevrolet S10
      2.53-56 F-100, 67-69 Chevrolet swb.
      3. 92 -96 F-150 with a 300 6cyl.
      5 speed standard tranny.

    Great truck!
    I from Brazil, and have a 1997 F1000 (that’s how we call the F150 around here 😂) 4.9i, 143k miles, single cab, short bed 4x2 very clean.
    It’s has a small miss firing that shows idling. I replaced the MAP, regulate the spark plug gap, have cable and made some improvements on the vacuum line. It’s running lots better now but still a little rough idle.
    I misunderstand what solve your miss firing. Would tell more about it?
    Thanks and congratulations for taking such a good care about you truck.

      with a older carbureted motor like that adding high flow headers would forsure increase power, not by a ton, but it will be noticeable

    Nice truck and thanks for subscribing! In my opinion you should go with the TTB Dana 44 to make it 4x4 like I am doing. The TTB will bolt right in place of the twin I beam and is a lot less work than a solid axle.

    • @TroyAnthony25
      @TroyAnthony25  7 лет назад

      yeah i always wondered if the 4x4 TTB axle would bolt right into the 2x4 front axle pivot brackets. because if i can find a axle before lifting my truck it will be really easy to swap the axles while in the process

    • @WillsGarage91
      @WillsGarage91 7 лет назад +1

      It will bolt right in. The only things different between the 2wd and 4wd is the pitman arm. The 4wd arm has a slight drop to it.

    • @TroyAnthony25
      @TroyAnthony25  7 лет назад +2

      hmm, thats somthing i didnt know. and i also gotta look for a transfer case and drive shafts

    • @WillsGarage91
      @WillsGarage91 7 лет назад +2

      You will also need a 4x4 extension housing for the transmission, a transfer case shifter and boot assembly, and possibly a 4x4 transmission crossmember.

    Thanks for sharing I got the same year truck with the inline. Your intake looks little different then mine. Yours is fancy compared to mine. Mine is a white work horse truck , construction truck . I use to call it my beater but I'm liking it more & more each year. had it for maybe 12 years ? In those years I only did a few things to it . Changed out the radiator could kick myself for not doing the water pump at the same time, no problems yet its been a few years. The transmission lines on the radiator were a pain .
    Replaced the fabric on the interior head liner ,that was fun , easy & cheap.
    Installed a after market new radio with cd which I never use ( cd ) . I wish I spent more time picking the right radio, the buttons are to small & placed to close together & light is to dim. I also wish I kept the stock radio ( it was broken, but still)
    Did one brake job. and thats it no problems . about 220,k Oh & of course oil changes every 3k

      yeah ive had very few problems in the 5-6 years ive owned it mine has about 380k in it and im in the process of rebuilding it right now!
