Ed, have you seen the turbocharged 300 Big Six built by youtube's Power Nation? It produced 517 hoursepower & over 600 lb/ft of torque !! on the dyno! They detuned it some & installed it in an old 1966 1 ton dually as I recall. Rethink the engine swap. A matched turbocharger could be a gamechanger. It will make your engine more of what it now is, a torque beast, but with with more grunt!
The 240/300 series are the “big blocks” for the Ford six cylinder. To my knowledge, the 144/170/200/250 don’t share any commonality. The 240 was a good motor also.
I had a 250 I6 in a 70 Maverick when I was a stupid 80's kid. As a stupid kid, I used liquid drano to clean out the cooling system one time. Ran for several years after, was later rebuilt and ran for more years after that. Could still be running to this day, for all I know. I loved the sound of it at idle. I can't imagine how long it would've run if I wasn't an idiot.
I'm not trying to sell anyone on an engine swap. I'm simply explaining why I'm swapping mine. The swap will be a big part of my channel and telling everyone how great the 300 is without explaining why I'm dumping it isn't fair to either engine.
Oh man, that would be a great engine. I've got an EcoBoost in my 2015 and it's pretty fun. Maybe I should keep the 300 once I pull it and build an "Old School EcoBoost" for another Bullnose.

After seeing that episode, I would love to build that turbo 300 Inline 6 and put it in something

There's also a 250 i6 unrelated to the 240/300

Vinegar did wonders for me on the radiator...it looked like milk come out
Thanks Ed, appreciate the info.
I know someone has one has oil pressure issue what could it be
Thank you
You rarely have to fix a 300 six.
Id like to here about the 460 and the c6
Thanks for the feedback!
Fix the sound
Don't need you to try to sell me on an engine swap.,👎👎

Fits with the amount of AI drivel in this video...
Wonder why they ever quit making this. If they wanted this eco boost mess, they could’ve done it with the 300!

Emissions might have cancelled the 300 - but the tooling was also likely getting worn out. And the 300 wasn't powerful
If you can get traction yes you probably could pull a house or even tree stumps, I know it's been done before
The AI images in this video are crazy!
