Always nice to sit back and watch a Coin Patrol video. I have no interest in most pre decimal coins but you have the knack to draw people in with you vast knowledge. You could upload paint drying & id probably watch it😂
Just catching up on this now! Must have missed the notification. Anyway thanks for the little shout out, I will need to get the trademark for WITB sorted out 😂 Love these pre-decimal hunts. I've got the same 3 albums but have hardly scratched the surface of the first one. Need a few for the second, but have the complete set of the third. Nice upload Paul 👍
Like the Penny hunt enjoying this halfpenny hunt too 😊. The books are starting to fill up nicely . It's great gaining knowledge along the way too eg the rough and calm sea version 👍.
Certainly less Victoria's than with your penny hunts. A little surprising really as I'm sure that a halfpenny would have bought quite a lot in those olden days 👍
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! I was expecting 1 or 2 stickers..... Not enough to cover the whole fridge! PS is the plum one of Bungles stickers? Do I have one of his plums? 🤔😂🤣
Playing catch up big time with your videos, I thnk pre-decimal coins were still being minted post 1967 but for reasons (maybe as a bit of public deception) they were dated 1967. The chances are the high grade examples of pennies and half pennies we find were of a later mintage so saw practically no circulation. I can imagine there would have been a bit of an outcry if the mint kept producing, the 1970 proof/commemerative sets aside, coins with appropriate dates right up until decimilisation.
I’ve been lucky enough to have found loads of these halfs and pennies, sixpences, crowns, half crowns and shillings while metal detecting, oldest shilling so far is 1689, James 2nd gun money…nice to hear some are worth collecting….
@@michaellooney1089 I believe it was french, Irish and English metals melted down from (supposedly) guns. because king James 2nd was booted out, he went to France to recruit armies then to Ireland and back into England to retake the throne, which he lost.
I’d had a couple of G ‘n’ T’s at the weekend and foolishly went on eBay. Ended up buying a lot of 15 Kg of old, mostly, British pre decimal coins. 15 kg!!! Oh my, the wife’s going to kill me when they arrive, but at least I can do one of these coin hunts. 😂
Here in Australia everyone over charges us for coins like these I visited my grandparents in England and she had a whole collection of one Penny's half Penny's and florins that she paid like £10 for it's crazy
Hi Michael, Yes, part two and part three. Here's the links: Part2 = ruclips.net/video/Os414CeV_1A/видео.html Part3 = ruclips.net/video/Q1MJixBp1PQ/видео.html

The Gun money was Irish, wasn't it?
