My loading screens take forever. That's why I don't even try to travel that much. Also most of the time when (even when I don't) I tell my Sims to do something, they just stand around stuck. Takes about 2 to 3 mins before they start moving again.

You can try to reset your Sim as well as your Sim's needs. Just press ctrl+shift+c (at the same time), type in the command bar 'testingcheats true', enter and then press once again ctrl+shift+c to close your command bar. Now, shift click on your Sim > reset object & then click on 'cheat needs' (select the options 'make happy' & 'enable needs decay'). And now your Sims should be fine! Let me know if this helps! 🤗
i really hope this works bc my game is basically unplayable rn bc it keeps freezing, ive already updated all my script mods and removed broken cc and repaired my game and i honestly didnt know what else to do
Try reseting your pc back to factoy default that's what I did and get an pc game booster/optimizer it'll help the games run faster I have a laptop that's not really made for gaming on and the game loads up slow but after doing all that it kinda speed it up a bit.
Everything I tried just fails. I don’t even want to try to play the sims anymore when my sims freeze every minute and don’t do the actions they are told only until like five minutes later. I give up on the sims. I really enjoyed the game but at this point it just gets frustrating.

Hi!! Do we also have enough RAM? If we use Windows, then we can press ctrl alt del at the same time on our keyboard > go to task manager and see how much ram our game uses! (this must be done with ts4 open) If most of our RAM is used (like 90% or more), we might need to uninstall some other apps that we no longer use or upgrade our ram (adding another slot of ram, only if our computer does support it, so we need to check the model's specifications online and see if the computer supports more ram than we already have)
My game is super laggy- I took out most mods (I only have slice of life) all cc, lowest settings, I have 77x GB left of storage out of 99x and the driver is up to date. What can I do haha? It’s really frustrating.
@@Darielle my game is somewhat faster now, I also turn off online settings like the gallery and play offline unless I need to download something. Then I’ll turn it on, do the download and turn it off again. It helps a lot more than you think🥰

My game has been having issues with larger houses to be honest and even though i really want all the major skill building on one lot maybe it is just not feasible to expect as it is just waaaay toouch stuff. Oh well maybe i will just get a frw things and leave out large skill building items and maybe just build lots for those?
Yes I do agree!! Both options are great, we can try to make our houses a bit smaller (& delete those animated objects if we do have ones!) & still have those skill building objects! If we have lots of cc items in the house, we can also try to limit those & delete some Or as you said, having separate lots for skill building objects & houses is something we can try! I found that disabling the edge smoothing option in the graphics game options makes the game A LOT smoother so we can try that as well! Also having lots of free space on our computer is key! (We can try to transfer some files to external hdd,ssd, flash drive, another laptop in order to have more free space)
@@Darielle Yeah! I have already cleared out a decent chunk to include copies of all the windows updates, that one took a while. xD. I cleaned out my downloads and uninstalled some games I don't play anymore so I already have more space to work with I also use CCleaner to help clear up leftover files and scan for issues.
But do you have enough RAM memory? At least 6/8 gb? You could also try to disable online features in Game Options > apply changes, restart your game. You'll need to re-enable those every time you wanna use the gallery, but it is worth trying to see if it actually makes a difference lag wise!

Ive tried a lot in general my pc is an all in one so its not the best i deleted my sims cache but it made my game worse i have cc but none is broken im pretty sure. Hello there! Do you use any mods/cc? Have you tried taking out all of your script mods from your Mods folder & repairing your game through Origin (just go to Game Library > right click on your Sims game > Repair). Let me know if that works for you!! 🤗

@@Darielle sorry i got to you back really late I did all of the above and now I have 3 mods instead of 7 and I still have that long pause after buy mode in larger houses where there are more than 4 rooms. I don’t have a lot of cc I don’t use furniture cc just base game. I have all the expansion packs too. I noticed I took out 1 mod that has animations and my game runs smoothly without out it but I want to have that mod to add realism.
By the way I have 340 gb of space left and 15 gb of ram left too out of 16 and my computer is new I purchased it to play sims 4 only so that’s upsetting
Can you also try to adjust your graphics settings a bit? Maybe turn off edge smoothing & post processing effects in your game options? You can also try to delete any lots/families that are no longer useful for you from your Library tab! Aand one thing that really helped me is getting rid of some graphic intensive furniture, such as fountains, mirrors or anything that's animated in your house! Let me know if this works for you!
I’m back running on ultra I deleted the local thumbnail cache and the lagging stops but I have to delete it every time I play. How long is you pause after existing buy mode on bigger lots with families? Now my wait time is 5 seconds
Half of this advice makes no sense. What do screenshots and computer memory have to do with how fast the game runs? Or recycle bin??? This does nothing to performance.
Ahh, I wouldn't say to go for it, unless your computer can really run it impeccably (in which case, you should have a really good gaming computer/laptop). If you're using a multimedia/office type of computer, I believe upgrading to Win11 is not a good move, it'll just require a lot more resources

I've updated my ts4 this my ts4 DLC installed: -island living -get together -famous stuff -patio stuff -outdoor living -strangerville I always got fps stuttering when i turn my game to speed 3 especially while move or rotate camera. @@Darielle no CC or mods. But i set my fps locked to 30 due to overheat issue. Do you experience stuttering when you in high speed mode?. I also tried to Lock my fps to 60 and it makes my gameplay better but it makes my cpu temp to 65-75'c.

I've only had that once and just reloaded my game, but seems like you have something different. Maybe try taking out sections of mods/cc to see if one particular item of cc or a specific mod is causing it? Does it happen with no mods/cc?
do you have custom cas screens in ur game? I had multiple in my game and that was the reason i had a white screen but it could b outdated mods or broken cc causing it too
You can also try to remove your script mods (the files that have the ts4script extension) one by one and see which one may cause you issues within your game. Make sure that all of your script mods are up-to-date & compatibile with your game version
Here are some tips that may help: First off, try taking out all of your script mods from your Mods folder and check if your game works fine. If so, you probably need to download the updated versions for those and install them. If that did not work, you can try to reset your EA folder and then place only updated versions for your mods, as shown in here: ruclips.net/video/-pCFvTcqQnQ/видео.html Keep in mind that you should not delete the old EA folder in order to copy all of your saves, tray, screenshots & cc and paste those into your newly generated EA folder. Try expanding the memory card on your computer or laptop. Usually costs less than $100. You could also remove all cc
Wicked whims is what made my s4 so slow so I took it out. It’s ok again now. That mod is a real lag inducer.

My problem is that I don't have a powerful computer... I don't want to go through the hassle of moving the playing games to a hard drive so I put everything else than my Sims on a hard drive yet it still so slow it's so annoying I literally clean out cache and local thumb thingy everytime I play... do you have any more tips for me?
