That Lobby Bar at the Encore is a great place for a break from gambling with a drink and a variety of small plates for food instead of an expensive restaurant. Fabulous service too.
Way back in the 70's or 80's (can't remember for sure) my late husband was a cook at what used to be the Gene Autry Hotel. He had Frank Sinatra come in one night and order liver and onions. Now, my husband was one of the best chefs I ever met and made an INCREDIBLE liver and onion dish. Frank sent it back because he said it was too rich. He ordered tacos instead.

I don't know about now but a few years ago we were comped 2 nights free when we initially signed up for their players card. We felt like a million bucks when we stayed there especially because we had played very little to earn the stay.
The last time I was in Las Vegas was in 2006, so I have not seen Encore except through RUclips videos such as your excellent one! Wynn was outstanding, so I imagine Encore is just as wonderful. As always, thanks so much Paula and Dale!
So that’s where Desert Inn was!! I’m always trying to picture where “original” Vegas places were I spent a lot of time in Encore. The lady I sewed for used to like to gamble there when we’d go for the fabric expos Encore was stunning. I had no idea I was walking were historical Desert Inn was 🩷

Hi Dale and Paula, love the staycation vids. I enjoyed the Sphere video. Paula you always look so pretty, you know just what to wear. I especially like the "fast forward" clips of the Sphere and strip traffic in this one. You have a nice room view! Karla in Cali.
We had a comped room here way back in June of 2009, and am amazed that the room we had was exactly the same (but on a higher floor). Those were the days before resort fees & taxes on everything except air! It was a wonderful stay then & glad you enjoyed your stay now...especially that keno hit! See you next week.
Steve Wynn wanted too call Wynn “ Le Reve “ after the Picasso painting he loved , but his backers insisted it was called “ The Wynn “ , I was in talks with the then Vice President of Food and Beverage Kevin Stuessi before it was even built trying too get a job as one of its chefs from England 🏴, Gordon Ramsay was as well , neither of us won the position, but I love those hotels , Steve Wynn was a visionary that will never be surpassed , they should have kept the “ Country Club “ .
Thank you for the tour. Have visited there, eaten there, saw shows there but never stayed there. I have stayed at Encore Boston Harbor ( free night) and that too is lovely and pricey. ❤

Great video as usual. What a beautiful property! It was reported on the news that they are going to have sound on the outside of the Sphere. Maybe it would be advantageous to stay at Encore and not Wynn because of that. The neighbors are already complaining! Great keno win Dale.

Fabulous tour! Sinatra and Allegro are wonderful dining options. Is Dale not a morning person? I noticed that Paula is on her own enjoying breakfast in many videos.
Nice Video on Encore! Not as lively as the Wynn but Sinatra restaurant is one of my fav's. I have stayed at Encore 3 times but usually stay at the Wynn Tower Suites many times and will be returning there again in October!
Only the infamous Steve Wynn would build competition to his Wynn hotel right next door ! But who cares....he anticipated using all the rooms because he said, something to the effect, I'm going to build world class hotels with exceptional food and amenities.....and you are going to pay for it. Unlike his forefathers in the 50's - 70s. We did love living like millionaires for next to no money. Thanks for a look inside the Encore....
Love, Love, LOVE the Wynn / Encore! 3 HOURS of FREE parking fyi, the most beautiful setting with REAL plants, and flowers (unfortunately, about HALF the flowers at Bellagio are now fake! …..budget cuts?!). The SHOPPING at Wynn / Encore is the best on the Strip (YES, better than CityCenter!, Bellagio, or Caesar’s Forum) The remodeled Wynn Theater Coffee / Espresso cafe has the BEST sandwiches, and Urth Cafe (another BEST) is in the NEW shopping area. ……it just doesn’t get better!!
We aren’t advertising anything - we often do hotel stays in Las Vegas (where we live), and film them for our channel…it’s what we do. We almost always pay for the hotel stay ourselves, but in this particular case, a fan sent us some money and told us to do anything we wanted with it, to make a vlog. We chose to use it to stay at Encore.
Yes that’s kinda how we see it too. Wynn is very busy - casino floor, restaurants, bars…lots of guests all over. Encore’s public areas are much quieter, less busy, less crowded, but still very elegant and classy. I guess it depends what you want out of your resort stay.

Weve stayed at Wynn and Encore and we really liked the sofa in the Encore rooms and just found it to be a little more laid back on the Encore side.

At the end of the room tour, I came on camera and said that the whole thing, with resort fee and tax, was $302. I think the room alone was $246.
What did that keno hit pay? Did your friend get a refund?
It was 838 quarters, so about $209. Friend get a refund? Not sure what you mean?
Was not impressed they changed the shower gel etc.. the tonka bean based fragrance was changed to a light coconut scent. Not a fan of coconut.
Went to the last Dead show august 10th…..holy s the sphere was amazing. Lucky wife! Nice video
