Very interesting! I used to use tea tree oil to treat rain scald (dermatophilosis) in horses. (We get a lot of rain in Scotland!) After applying a drop to each scab - which looks like a little paintbrush nodule in the hair, hard and painful for the horse when removal is attempted - waiting 5 mins for the oil to soak in, the scab would come off easily and painlessly, leaving completely healthy looking skin and hair. Edited to add: The tea tree oil also prevented reinfection quite effectively.

That is interesting and good to know. There must a few diseases that can thrive in wet conditions.
I'm always amazed at how many of these plants can be used for medicinal purposes. Or even when you think of penicillin from mould. When I did a video on olives I found out how good virgin olive oil. A teaspoon full of honey before bed - Apparently is good for you also.
