My ex boyfriend of six years broke up with me for a much younger girl who is catfishing him. He flew all the way to California to meet her and she left him at the airport for two days. Supposedly her grandmother died. Then he sent her money to fly here and she used tje money to fly to Dallas to see an ex boyfriend. He is still sending her money and thinks they are engaged. She has him believing that she was kidnapped. I told him she was catfishing him and he got mad at me and cussed me out. How stupid can a man be?

Agreed. Which is funny cause with the check ins after the episodes usually a good amount have found someone in real life. So its more the fear of not being loveable, but when they let go of the defenses they usually are fine. Just hard to let go of the defense due to the fear.

Update on Miranda: She was one of my favorite “victims” on the show. (Ugh! I feel horrible saying that. Although she was manipulated and victimized, she’s not a victim, but is indeed a warrior. I just don’t know what other word to use.) I follow her on instagram. She recently got engaged to someone, and she seems incredibly happy. I wish her nothing but healing, blessings, and happiness.

Felt so incredibly bad for Miranda when she said that everyone around her knew and when she goes back home she’s going to get a whole bunch of ‘I told you so’s’. Hopefully the people around her wasn’t that petty, but the feeling is still there. It’s so sad, even though she was naive, all she did was falling in love with someone. I know that applies to most people on this show, but I don’t know.. I felt so strongly with her.

It's not necessarily a bad thing that they're so trusting (although it's sad when they end up getting catfished): it shows that they're probably good people who wouldn't deceive anyone.

This one is kinda hard to be upset with. It wasn’t. Grown adult playing with someone. It was a scared 15 year old trapped in the closet with an unaccepting family. Which resulted in her being careless with someone else’s heart because she couldn’t come to peace with her own. 😔

That right there should have been the clearest sign that Jasmine was lying. Trying to say that this girl has to be at the courthouse every single day from 1-4 o'clock for probation? Absolutely not. Nobody on probation ever has to go to the actual courthouse and not the probation office, and every single day, and for 3 hours every single day? No not a single part of that is accurate in any kind of situation with anybody on probation that girl was straight up just trying to waste a good amount of y'all's time 😂😂😂😂 when you're on probation 1, the probation office, not the courthouse. 2, there is only ever 1-2 days a week tops that a person has to check in. No way in hell it would be every single day. And 3, you always have a set time frame that you can go, for example you can be there to check in anytime between like 1-4 or something like that but you do not have to be there for that full amount of time, that's just this time frame that you're allowed to go.
Idk if diffrent in other states but I did have too for 2 weeks straight when I had probation had to do 40 hrs a week and needed 80 hrs total
I was on probation for 3 years in Alabama and only had to check in once a month. The probation office was in the back of the courthouse. It's just not plausible to think people would have to go everyday for 3 hours. People have jobs.

I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt on how she fooled her and see if there was any masculinity in her voice but I didn’t detect it... yeah it was a deeper tone but very effeminate and I was still able to discern the difference from a male’s voice. The whole reveal makes no sense 🤦🏻♀️

It’s like on one hand I feel bad for most of the victims because no one deserves to be catfished like that, but on the other hand I can’t feel too bad for them because they didn’t think to triple check to make sure the person they were talking to was actually legit before diving deep, which is obviously the logical and responsible thing to do.
