Song's about being on the road away from this daughter I believe and amy was involved with him but left him because of alcohol issues,hence the evanescence song "call me when your sober"..

Josh was not Amy's therapist. He was just a therapist and she got to know him through a friend of a friend. They first met before Evanescence released their first studio album in a restaurant. Josh inspired Bring Me To Life. The first verse and chorus were about their first interaction
