How Wrenches Are Made? (Mega Factories Video)

- A wrench or spanner is a tool used to provide grip and mechanical advantage in applying torque to turn objects-usually rotary fasteners, such as nuts and bolts-or keep them from turning. Higher quality wrenches are typically made from chromium-vanadium alloy tool steels and are often drop-forged. They are frequently chrome-plated to resist corrosion and for ease of cleaning.
The following are the manufacturing processes:
1. Cutting
2. Forging
3. Trimming
4. Perforation
5. Burring and grinding
6. Machine marking and bending:
7. Broaching
8. Tempering
9. Sanding
10. Chroming

The test they don't show is impact from being thrown across the room when you can't get a bolt undone
I prefer to put a half inch box end wrench on my half inch impact and play the game of mechanics roulette😂
Gosh you should see how snap-on wrenches are made
I never thought that even wrenches get so much attention and respect while getting made.
It's important because you don't want them to break under torque or you'll destroy your hand. This is the steps that's missing on the cheaper made ones.
Huh! Really! Oh let me guess! You're a millenial? right?😵💫
There are wrenches and there are wrenches.
I am certain that som e imported junk is not made with the same attention
Whoa!!Simple things with complex process.thats a quality😮.
Great work... Love from India..
Amazing so much for a tool
Nice Game of Thrones music. When I go to battle, gonna bring a couple wrenches with me.
If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a bullet
Interesting….pity about the commentary errors and the music.
Music is disturbing ! !
Wonderful manufacturing
Thank you for the upload. What is the typical specification of the steel user ?
Good to see
Like this from India 🇮🇳 ♥
Better question, where do all these machines come to life? There producing must be harder than a simple wrench...
Love from India
There was much more to it than I imagined.
"How Wrenches Are Made?" is a statement, not a question.
true. swap two words around and it becomes a question.
Who writes these scripts?
Interesting.
Soo🤔What steel is used!?
Hmm ought to use in-process gauging on the CNC, something from last century
JP... is that you narrating?
Por qué no se subtitula al español?
See we have tool flow
The flow of tools like on the conveyer belt like a resource like water
Technically its like a resource foindation vlass of resources
Except its not naturally made its artificial resources
Artificial flow
Yes, now... But how was the manual process before machines. 🧐
wrenches looked a lot different before hand. before our great strides in machining, they were just Stamped Out or casted. cast parts are shit though, they usually are easy to create stress fractures in. stamped Parts aren't too bad but if the material is able to be stamped it's probably not very strong or comfortable.
سلام عليكم انا جاد كيف طريقه البيع
The music is wrong….
اناجاد بشراء كميه كيف طريقة البيع
Thought a edm technician made em
Amazing footage & production . . the sliding word captions got a bit in the way, to be a little critical.
"Elongonated"
This whole process just for a wrench? 😀
Isn't it amazing how so much has to be done to make sure that the end product is just spot on ! ?
In my 66 years I’ve never seen this brand of wrench
Is made in Italy.
My favorite process is the elongenation at 1:17
Thank you for your feedback! Isn't it interesting how the whole process is done?
@@engineeringworld. it was a joke it’s pronounced eh lun gated not eh lun gun ated
China made wrenches only cost US 1.50
They are dumping these wrenches all over the world.
I would rather pay $15 for US made than wasting $1.50.
Yeah, and they're junk. Taiwanese wrenches are pretty decent these days, but I don't think mainland Chinese tool production will ever improve. There's no incentive for it to get better.
TURN THE MUSIC DOWN SHIT FOR BRAINS.
The cheap Chinese wrenches must be made with the "exceeding material" left over from these good wrenches. I guess they can't afford most of these test and keep them cheap.
wow an American using centigrade (it's celcius actually)
