I have 2 mink coats vintage I prefer wearing them. One is pale blonde mink full length with cream fox trim. Was custom made for a 5’4 size 4, I bought in 1993 when furrier was closing for $1000. I’ve worn it since lots of compliments no protesters throwing stuff at it. It’s stunning warm and not heavy. I wear at night when it’s cold in Scottsdale. I also wear cashmere nothing sexier with fur.

Here in Grand Rapids... I only have 158 days of sun! LOL!!! The fur hat was a favorite of Liz Taylor in the 60's! YOu look fabulous in them! I know exactly what you mean! I wad schlepping around in long-sleeved Tshirts snd bad jeans as I headed into my 60s. I dressed well during my work years.
Then I started paying more attention again and start each day with a plan. Nothing very expensive; just put together. Feel so much better.
I'm not a faux fan. If the cold demands fur to be warm, wear real fur. I learned this when I was living in Berlin. If you don't need to or want to wear fur, wear wool, cashmere, blends etc. instead. Down works very well. My 2 cents. YMMV
You can certainly substitute real fur here...whatever is your preference! xo
Watching this video made me miss my fur jacket I had when I was a kid. It was so pretty and white except for one little light tan streak. I loved that thing. I wore it as often and as long as I possibly could. Wish I had an adult version 😊

I thoroughly enjoyed your videos from Spain. What a wonderful experience for you and your family. I enjoyed this video although I live in Hilton Head, SC, since 2007, and we have such mild winters. I still love looking at the winter fashions and scenes. I grew up in Rockland County, NY and moved to FL in 1978, Atlanta, GA in 1985, and remember those cold winters.
Thanks for all the tips & inspirations, winter is hard for me....but, I wore my faux hat and coat today....received a compliment right away......my area in California gets about 261 sunny days...sounds inaccurate, feels like we get way more than that! I take extra vitamin D during the winter, it affects my mood and energy......my husband is unaffected by winter blues, so only certain people get it. I'll be adding a pop of color winter coat to my wardrobe this year. I prefer a more minimal wardrobe, so I won't be adding much, but I appreciate your style! beautiful bravo for you.

I never knew about S.A.M. puffers until I saw you wearing your red white and blue jacket. I found a similar color on Poshmark and I LOVE it. I get so many complements when I wear it.

296 days of sun in Kingston, Ontario, 🇨🇦 🍁 Just north of Watertown! Spent many weekends shopping in Watertown, Salmon Run Mall and Target. Love your channel. I see so many women my age, 56, all wearing the same 3/4 length quilted coats with a fur trimmed hood. I have one and I don't wear it anymore, I am back to my Burton snowboard jacket, and a Landsend Squall jacket. I need something white, no hood, and fairly short. Love the heeled boot idea, need them too!!!

180 days in Toledo, OH. I've been longing to move for sometime now. Went hiking last January in Utah ...wow what a difference deep blue skies make. Makes the colder temps way more tolerable.

I am also in upstate NY- 180 days of sunshine here. I have many coats and always go for the glam with a bright color or pattern, animal print, or classic silhouette. Gotta take extra steps to keep my mood up in winter!

I don't mind snow boots but my 16 daughter year old refuses (she grew up in Taiwan) so I can't wait to share your video with her, that she has other options (she is more on the fancier side). We are going to Barcelona for Spring Break, so I will keep your previous and helpful videos in mind because last time I was in Spain I did feel underdressed (a giant tourist sign on my forehead). I was borned in Guyana South America with sunshine 365 days per year, moved to Canada 35 years ago with winter months, we are blessed with great sunshine during the months but looking forward for the summer. I love my intercepts of various colors, I treat myself every other year with a beautiful colors, love your channel and styles.

Sometimes I think I'm crazy for having so much winter outerwear but I really love creating different looks . I wore a pair of heeled boots today and was reminded why for me it's not a good idea - ultra sensitive feet - but loved the look . My warm Couger Nash boots are some of my favourites . This year I purchased a puffer style ski jacket in a grape colour - a colour I usually wouldn't consider but I love it ! Most women now have multiple winter coats I would think and you give us some great styling tips here. !
I think about it this way, Pavla...We spend so much time and energy on our outfits and then cover them up with coats. This is why I think it is so important to be thoughtful about our outerwear. xo

I grew up in Northern California 256 days of sun. I live in a completely different US locale that I'm still adjusting to on many levels... 218 days of sun here... I'm here from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦 where our Temps go down to -40 to -50. It's pretty cold. It is bearable from about -20 to -25 and this video works, but it's chilly after that and hard to style. It is easier to drive than walk on the ice.
Love color in winter it keeps my spirits up! Pair my electric blue j crew coat with my Lost Horizons Nepalese mitts and hat and winter isn't so bad :)

Oooo, I loved that Italian designers black flare puffer coat. Very nice for New England weather. It is still pretty cold around here and will be for a while. I have loads of coats, wool (long and short), puffers (long and short) and a red BCBG Maxazria. It is embarrassing how many Winter coats I have. LOL! Last year I watched one of your videos about cold weather dressing and I was inspired by your Russian hats. When I went to purchase one they were all sold out. But just before Christmas last year, my husband and I were at the mall and there was a shearling type store. I tried on the black Russian hat there and it was so wonderful on me. My husband bought it for me on the spot. I also have too many hats. ;-) Welcome home, hope you are enjoying your new house. Also, you have inspired me to live outside the US for a few months. Maybe next year when my husband finally retires. Not sure your video covered how you got into contact with a rental RE agent, but I will seek out that information. Thank you, Erin.

I have a long blush pink faux fur coat from Lulu's with a great star lining that I love to wear every chance I get. And my kids love to wrap their arms around me...bonus! These tips are spot on! I have a winter white wool coat 1 bought 3 yrs ago at White House Black Market, I get compliments on it all the time & I wear it with heeled boots. Looks sharp! I also have a black puffer coat from Rudsak which is belted. Makes for a better fit. I get compliments on it as well & it's toasty warm ☺️
I started wearing mine and get all kinds of compliments too..don’t know if I was worried about getting it dirty but was not doing me any good hanging in closet..love winter white.

163 Days of sun near Cleveland, Ohio. It can get a little depressing during the winter but we have some of the best parks in the nation with amazing trails to help with a mood boost.

Perfect timing for this video! It's that time of year in central Indiana when it is common to have cloudy, cold days. (Indiana averages 186 sunny days annually; the US average is 205.) I am definitely going to try the Sephora lip stain - love wearing lipstick, but the mask situation ruins regular lipstick. Thanks for the inspiration!

I wore my chunky Doc Marten heeled boots the other day here after it snowed and was still icy. They gripped SO WELL. I was amazed. I really thought I’d slip. But I really liked the look too.
Looks like I’m averaging 202 sunny days a year here. That must be why I’m always in such a better mood when I head South or go to Las Vegas 🤪🌞

300 days of sun in Reno NV, which is sooo much better than where we use to live in Renton WA with only 151 days of sunshine👎 had to have sunshine lights in the house to fight the depressed feeling and travel a lot to Eastern WA that gets more sun. What is everyone’s thought on real vintage fur? I inherited my grandmothers mink and let me tell you - this coat is on trend! Puffed sleeves, shorter length, leather belt - all black. I know not to buy new fur, but is it okay to wear vintage?
It’s a personal decision. I think that it’s best to avoid buying new furs, but if you have a vintage fur and feel good about wearing it go for it. xo
I have one from grandma too and I think if you like it go for it! At this point it’s more eco friendly too to just use it rather than buy a new faux fur.
I live in Michigan so real fur is not unusual. I had a long vintage beaver coat that I wore when it got really cold and am sure some people had “ opinions”. I’m confused why people feel fine eating a bacon cheeseburger but cringe at fur? We thank all animals in the Native American community for giving themselves to us and do not take anything for granted. I’d wear it proudly and think of your Unci (Grandmother) every time.
I bought a black vintage mink headband that looks almost identical to Erin’s last year (& LOVE IT). Using something that already exists seems like a better thing to do for the environment. Better that than manufacturing a new faux item for you to wear instead, and the vintage piece ending up in the landfill. Repurposing an older item made me feel good, but that’s my opinion 🙂 I know even wearing it may trigger some.

It was a zig zag ,multi color, John & Jenn, still have it and I always think of you when I wear it. I remember Style of Sam and her friends also had it. Do you remember? What fun it was wearing it.

Loved this video Erin as we’re coming into our Winter 🥶 months here in Australia 🇦🇺, I just looked up how many Sunny days we have a year and it was 283 Sunny days Lol 😂, that gives you some idea of how many Cold 🥶 days we have a year, but it still doesn’t matter to me because I really feel the Cold 🥶 and usually hibernate during winter, I love just curling up under a blanket and binge watch some tv shows Lol 😂 when it’s really cold, much prefer Summer 🌺 over Winter. @@BusbeeStyle I thrive in the Summer months Lol 😂, a few years ago we went to New York for a White Xmas but all I got was Freezing 🥶 Cold, the clothes I’d packed weren’t even warm enough for both my hubby and myself and he doesn’t feel the Cold like I do so that’s saying something, they actually said it was the coldest weather on record for I think 10 years 🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️, I was sleeping in my long johns double layer Lol 😂 and was still Cold 🥶, I’ve never experienced Cold like that ever, I don’t know how you do it, I had layers upon layers to keep myself warm, Great place to visit but not so great to Live Lol 😂.
Hi beautiful Erin, I hope you don't go into shock when you return to the cold. It has been the coldest winter I can remember. We too, only have one hundred sixty two days of sun. Remember when most people had one winter coat.. I have lots (too many) ofwinter coats. I get the most compliments when I wear my winter white wool long coat. I have a long faux beautiful long fur coat...looks kind of real, which makes me kind of scared to wear it. Your fur hats are gorgeous.The weather really affects my mood. I have tried to embrace winter and I am trying to wear a different coat every time I go out. I also got a beautiful long beigey winter cape. I got a pair of brown faux leather boots with a heel....and surprisingly they are comfortable. I am trying my best to fight frump...lol
Erin, you have taught me sooo much. I even bought a red lipstick which I soften with a pink over it. I am going to look for a bright hot PINK winter coat! I have a Spring one. Spring is just around the corner. Yesterday it stayed lighter longer. Thanks Erin..you are the best!! Your subs love you. I can not wait til you show us your new home. Safe travels home. ♡♡♡

269 days and it’s 86 degrees today ☀️🥴 I was hoping to be able to have a bit longer stretch of cooler temps since it’s a lot like hades & hell 🔥👹 in the California desert. I have thinner sweaters & a light 🧥 trench coat (which I’ve only worn once this year). We have 72 Sunny days in Columbus OH. It says also 103 partly sunny but that just means at some time during the day a ray of sun broke through. Feeling the winter blahs. Thank you for your video.

I love winter clothes and coats… but 264 sunny days in south Florida!! They appear when we get 60 degree days!. You can always tell the tourists because they are in shorts and flip flops and the “natives” are in boots and puffers. 😂

I have faux leopard and the faux fur NYC chocolate one and a red puffer and several others. My daughter is 41 and she and her friends wear MY coats when I’m not there! I guess my style sense is okay…thanks to you.

Hi Erin! Loved these tips ❤️ I too have many different coats/jackets in my wardrobe…along with many different hats, scarves, gloves/mittens and boots for winter. I believe that just because it’s bad weather, doesn’t mean I can’t look somewhat stylish 😀

Denver has 300 days of sunshine. People don’t really think about Colorado like that but it’s almost always sunny! I think it’s even more than Florida.
