I am still hoping this can be resolved without violence and maybe asriel and chara could have a happy ending in some form, it's not pacifist if you don't help everyone.
I have to admit that spamton being more than an easter egg and having plot relevance caught me off guard

I find it hilarious how what started as "Wouldn't it be funny if Papyrus put adware in a robot and it made Spamton" led to this
It's rather jarring how obvious it is that someone is new to IF by looking at the comments.
Seeing not only the world of Undertale, but that world that was already transformed into Inverted Fate now be broken down is so cool, and now it's really going to shine! Fort Aquarius and Waterfall are where Inverted Fate really started changing the environment and I just know I'm going to be awed by how things have changed.
Yep, I also feel like in that section Inverted Fate became truly its own beast

Gotta love the spamton references in this 1997 g , never trust a con man no matter how he smells. And the fact that spamton actually exists in the world. That makes it so much cooler to see a little bit of dr in this too.
I never expect Spamtom and even less a encouter of him with Lilac.
I'm glad Napstablook is okay, I want to see Asriel do horrible things but hurting Blooky is a step too far

Well. IF River Person is officially awesome. Seriously, I _love_ how Inverted Fate’s fleshed out even the minor NPCs, and the River Person is such a great candidate to explore. Didn’t expect them to be here… but like our heroes, I sure am glad they are ^_^
Also: _Spamton._ Practically every moment with him had me laughing! The Sweepstakes callbacks were fantastic, and seeing him hijacking Mettaton’s show for it was so great (saw that “existential dread” he worked in there). You’ve seriously got his voice down!
Plus, actually getting to interact with the Season Dudes on their own! A small thing in the long run, but I was really excited for that, so it’s great to see ‘em here :D Cruel Dude seems a little off right now, though. Not sure what’s going on with his circuits o_ō
And oh lord, talk about “the ending changes everything…” Lilac just met Spamton face to face. We’ve found new hope, but are ending on new _dread._
Seems like Frisk’s reunion with their old friend might not begin with a mere run-in… but rather, with having to brave the [[Spamton Value Network]]! O_O

Excited for this chapter! Thus far, progression for Frisk and Cap has been fast (faster than before, at least), seeing that they're apparently at Waterfall by now. Still a bit surprised on how impossibly egotistical Asriel can be though, making almighty statues and posters of himself and putting them through the underground. Still, it seems like it'll be an interesting chapter!

5:15, you know I was going to make a joke with how Chara and Frisk had [1997] gold at this point, but I wasn't expecting Spamton to actually pop up seemingly out of nowhere.
He's been foreshadowed for a while. :P As far back as part 59, and even earlier in this arc.
@@Dorked That's why I said seemingly, mainly with how jarring his appearance is give the bleakness of everything in the final act so far; I'm not complaining, nor did I forget (mostly) it just caught me off guard.

So. RIverperson and Blooky were both there... I was kind of expecting that.
But the bit we spent in Forgespring... best part of this whole chapter, in my opinion.
And... Hotland.
Oh boy, where to even begin...
Spamton, everything is Spamton now, and honestly... I couldn't be more excited to see more from the salesman robot.
I laughed through the entire credits.
And even though I personally prefer the more ominous atmosphere of the chapters prior, this was still brilliant. And the credits were really, really funny for me.
Lilac got to see Spamton... good for her...? I legitimately can't tell what happens now that she's... well, there.
And the robots with the Spamton shades, the Spamton poster and text on the elevators...
The two things I loved the most about this chapter were the bit in Forgespring and the amazing work and detail put into the sprites and animation.
But overall, this was another amazing addition to the comic.
And in two weeks, it will be time for... MORE SPAMTON.
My conclusion : I got tormented today so much that I flogged Asriel.

That may have been the strangest credits sequence I've ever seen
I didn't even realize they were credits at first.
It's really refreshing to see some familiar faces in a place like this. It certainly gives a feeling that there's still hope. Also this arc will get even more crazy with Spamton and... Lilac?! I'm so excited to see what's gonna happen.

I am satisfied knowing Blooky is okay.
There are tons of neat details packed into this, but seeing that Blooky kept his little slice of life makes me happy in a way none of the others do. The statues in front of the resort were close, though.
P.S. Where are 98 and the others? We've seen so many robots already, but none seem to want to help. Would these smarter machines be different? Or perhaps they currently need support themselves?

I see you're a fellow PMD fan, incorporating tunes from Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky into Inverted Fate, such as part of Primal Dialga's theme into Queen Toriel's theme and the beginning of this video having parts of Grovyle's Sacrifice Theme.
The primal dialga wasn't in Toriel's theme. It was Lament of the Last as a leitmotif- it just has some similar vibes, but the leitmotif is different. :p

A little prediction of some things happening in the next episode:
If you read the desc it says "glimmer of hope" I have a feeling that it's referring to Mettaton and possibly Napstablook, also they said that they stopped at core, so I think the Asriel's statue is located at hotel. And if you look at them now (Frisk and Chara) they don't seem bothered by the statue. So maybe this time character development?

(WARNING: I AM GOING TO TRY AND PREDICT WHAT'LL HAPPEN NEXT IN THE SERIES, ALSO THERE ARE SPOILERS ABOUND FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T SEEN Avatar the Last Airbender IN ITS ENTIRETY. PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.)
After hearing about Asriel wanting to make a new world in the last video, I think by the time Frisk and Chara face him, they will fail again.
For why I believe this to be the case, (outside of the fact he has a city's worth of human souls) let me use Zuko from ATLA as an example.
In the show, Zuko had to make a big decision, help the good guys and do what is right, or join with the bad guys in hopes of regaining the life he once had. And in the end, he chose to get his old life back, even if it meant doing the wrong thing.
After he makes his choice, he wins the fight and returns home, and he gets it all: his life, his status as Prince, and he regains his honor with his father. However, despite all of that, he was still unsatisfied in the end. He suffered being an out-casted prince who, with the help of his uncle, struggled to survive as peasants in enemy territory. He witnessed first hand the devastation that his own nation brought upon innocent people. He was grouped together with those peasants who were escaping from the dangerous Fire Nation in hopes to find safety in Ba Sing Se. He knows what all of that is like. All of what he's gone through has changed him as a person.
My point is that Zuko realized his decision to help the bad guys was the wrong decision. That realization only happened because he got what he wanted in the end, he knows what his old life was built upon, crushing innocent lives. Because of that, he made the choice to try and fix his mistakes. He chose to abandon the throne, everything he initially fought for, and went to join the main heroes in making things right again, all on his own.
Even when things were rocky, as the heroes who he hunted down for so long initially reject him, he still chooses to press forward and works with them to earn his forgiveness, by HIS choice.
I see a similar parallel here between Zuko and Asriel. I can imagine it now, if Asriel wins, he creates a new world where only he and Chara are the protagonists. Where he has EVERYTHING he could ever want. And yet, despite all of that, it wouldn't be enough. Deep down, Asriel knows that this is all fake, that the Chara he's made is not the real Chara, the real Chara would not want this. That, everything that made life worth living for was stripped away by his own hand. Leaving him alone in his world. This would be the point where Asriel realizes what he's done. That every decision he's made has only hurt the one person he cares about most, and that he's the villain who's holding the entire world in his own little prison. After that, he'd use his godly powers to undo what he's done, choosing to bring back the world he once destroyed on his own terms. By HIS choice.
After that, I'm not sure what'll happen. Maybe he'll come back to life, or he'll still be a flower. Perhaps he might have to deal with people being pissed at him for betraying their trust, or they'll have no idea what even happened. Whatever it is, Asriel would own up to his bad behavior, and through his work alone, would get a genuine redemption arc by the end of the story.
In any case, for now... we'll just have to wait and see.
