I'm actually really confused about the second part of the tutorial (character rigging for UE4). Could you make a short, dedicated follow-up guide showing how to import a mixamo character, multiple animations as actions and exporting it to UE4? Without the (for me confusing) explanations and really just "to do this, do that, then you get this". Would be awesome!
The main problem is that modeling in blender at a 0.01 scale is tedious and many tools go wonky and not to mention the clipping plane issues so my tip here is model at blender default scale and then export it at 0.01 scale and re import it back. I know it's involving another operation but believe me you will thank me later.
I'd argue that it's better to have 0.01 scale the new default in Blender, and adjust clip distances accordingly. It saved more time and less prone to transformation errors.

Still having the same problem then without this plugin... I got a shader that puts grass on top with grass just down sides a little bit but on the ue4 shape cube this works but on the blender cubes its got grass on top... 3 sides pure dirt then grass on the other side, so i dont know how to fix this... 2 steps, go to your account setting in epic launcher and link your account with github from there, then go to github.com/epicgames and accept their invitation. Only then you would see the blendertools.
Got it, when you finish linking your github account with Epic account, then you go to Epic's github github.com/EpicGames/ and you'll see on top of the screen an invitation for you to get access on private files, you just need to accept it.
Will this work for UE4.13 sorry I have a old laptop and 13 it's his limit at the moment . Also he has a really old video cart who is really useless when it comes down to dealing with good rendering . I swear this laptop is like want's to explode when I try to do some basic works .
For anyone experiencing the problem where the pipeline option does not appear in the blender menu I found installing addon send2ue_1.7.1 works. Later versions do not work for some reason. My specs Windows 10 Blender 2.93.6 Unreal Engine 4.27.1
I get a "Could not find Unreal Editor instance" error. Plus for some reason it seems I can't have both UE2rigify AND send2unreal plugins enables. One disables the other. Even with just the send2unreal plugin though I can't send anything to my editor. Does anyone have a fix?
I dunno about the plugins disabling each other but, about the "cannot find instance" error, I was having the same problem, you have to go: Edit > Project settings > search "python" > Enable Remote Execution. You don't need to restart and it should start working right away.

There is no harm in trying to convert people to a better software. Blender is better at modelling and I have used many applications including Maya and Max and l can say without a doubt that blenders tools add-ons etc are much better. I am sorry if that fact hurts you. It is what it is. For decades blender has been mocked and ridiculed from Maya/Max users but now that blender is surpassing the Industries best software some of our massive community would like to mock them back. It seems Maya/Max users have indeed started something that will go on for a very long time.
My PC struggles to render on Cycles so I was figuring out how to change to Unreal, this came just in time!

You dont have to trow another actor there, just change the animation at actor properties.
Do we have to set our PBR textures by ourselves? Why cant our pipeline ( blender to UE ) set the material for us?
