He was the peacemaker right up until he was the entire issue 🤣 dude barely punched him and it brought out the player we'd all seen for years in MLB. Man I wanted to see him and Madbum go at it. That would have been the best heavyweight fight ever.
Perhaps one of the craziest baseball fights I’ve ever seen was well before my time. It was a game between the Padres and the Braves on August 12, 1984. There were two separate brawls and by the time it was all said and done there was 17 ejections. There was also a Yankees versus Red Sox fight, well there was a lot of those in the 70s and 80s, but I particularly remember one of them where they were piled up so terribly bad that you couldn’t even see anything on the infield it was just a pile of jerseys and limbs were flying everywhere. The umpires didn’t even try to break it up. They were just standing by the foul pole waiting for it to clear off.
November '84 here. Props for the baseball knowledge, though. That said, please excuse me as I'm going to curl up into a ball quite unlike the one relating to this fight and sob until the dawn breaks much like my feels before it.
Puig is a complicated baseball figure. He was a phenomenon when he first came into the league, but then never reallllly lived up to his potential. He was famously disliked by his Dodger teammates during that time. Eventually he had some sexual assault allegations levied against him, which led to his apparent black balling from the league. Since that time, he's played in Mexico, Venezuela, Korea, and the Dominican Republic.
He always had a crappy attitude. I saw a lot of him as a player and the flashes of brilliance were far outweighed by the issues from his attitude. I don't know if anything ever came of those allegations either but they did surface right around the time he stopped playing in the league.
Back before he was apparently blackballed from playing in MLB Yasiel Puig primarily played for the Cincinnati Reds and the LA Dodgers. I think you reacted to one of the brawls he was in between the Cincinnati Reds and the Pittsburgh Pirates. A couple years ago some sexual assault allegations were levied against him, it’s unclear if they were actually true or if they were just allegations, but the league didn’t want to deal with it so They more or less blacklisted him. He was always a good player, and I liked him as a player when he was over here in MLB. Since then he played in the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Korea, and Mexico.
You boys need to check out Jim Abbott, one of the coolest mlb stories of all-time. Super inspirational. Man was born with a club for a hand and was a great mlb pitcher. He used to flip his glove onto his throwing hand mid-delivery so that he could field the position.
This video was not the top left number one video on my homepage. Your uploads are always number one on my homepage. I am upset by this! Glad I have notifications on though!!!!
I love Puig. Even without his backstory, I think he is one of the most interesting players to ever come into the MLB, and I got to see him play once...But man, I am really opposed to the "look how cool I am" generation of baseball players we have today. It's like they need a participation trophy in the form of some inauthentic, overdone, scripted celebration every time they simply do the job that they are paid to do. It is completely childish and ruins baseball (or any sport). It's too bad this stuff is contagious... That said, I appreciate the spirit you guys are bringing to this show you do, in sort of a sick way I suppose. But I disagree about that "it's ok to punch someone just because they are the biggest." You shouldn't be punching anyone. The baseball leagues should just start penalizing stupidity with ejections, suspensions and fines, then there would be less cause to think about punching someone. I know you guys as earnest onlookers from England don't understand it this way, but baseball is a symbol of America, and I know America has issues with violence and alpha-maleness in reality (i.e., America is basically an asshole at their worst), but why does it have to get into something that should be more idealized, something that dare I say is "patriotic" to many of us?
He was literally trying to stop them from fighting and only fought back when he got hit do he's not I'm the wrong here, for once let go of your ego and hatred.
@@Chinese_Name hahahaha what? Ego and hatred? Did you ever watch Puig play in the MLB? I'm glad he's matured and is turning over a seemingly new leaf but your comment is both ignorant and full of personal bias. There's a reason he isn't in the MLB anymore and he only has himself to blame. No one made him be a punk ass or choke a lady in Miami.
@@Chinese_Name Puig is a punk who hurts women. I'm glad there's a single video of him being the peacemaker but there's a reason teams in the MLB won't add him and its cause he's a shitty human. Ego and hatred? That's some wild assumptions there. I'm just relaying what all Puig's team mates and managers already said.

When Puig is the peacemaker in a situation, you already have issues.
Lol right

This makes me feel old :'(

Look for the Padres/Braves game on August 12, 1984. 17 ejections.
Oh that game was awful. I remember seeing it on TBS when I was in high school.

He’s like the Ravel Morrison of baseball
Love Jimmy's (JomBoys) voice overs! He does a fantastic job at reading lips!
Love me a Jomboy reaction. His humor really makes these crazy events great.

1984 Braves v Padres is the craziest imo and I think y'all already reacted to that
When Puig played for the REDS , I got to meet him, he is one big and strong dude.
Puig being the voice of reason in a brawl is funny

That guy hit Puig, and then he backed away probably thinking, "What the hell did I just do?"
That voiceover is hilarious.

When are you going to react to Bo Jackson highlights Ultimate Athlete or his college football highlights?
It's disgusting seeing ads on jerseys I hope this never catches on here.
If that's disgusting to you I'd hate to see you see something that's actually disgusting
D-Backs, Red Sox, Reds, Astros, Angels, and Padres already have sponsor patches on their sleeves.
the fact we already have the Nike swish on the uniform means, in a why, we already have a sponsor on the gear.
I don’t mind a sleeve or even one chest logo, but I definitely wouldn’t want as many sponsors as you see here
dramatic ass
'promosm'
Puig was such a clown man. There's a reason no one in the league will hire him. He's such a headache for whoever he plays for.
