Substitute teacher skits probably best next before East/West 2 because they reference skits in other skits a bit which makes it even funnier. Also, McCringleberry’s Excessive Celebration is iconic enough that real NFL players have done some version of it.
Appreciate the suggestion and comment, thank you. Substitute teacher mentioned a few rimes already, sounds great. And that is mad, I want to see McCringeberrys celebration for sure 😂
Adding on to this; it is absolutely essential that you follow up with the team rap skit. It's a parody of The Superbowl Shuffle video that the 1985 Chicago Bears made. Seriously, I can't stress enough how well that skit follows this one.
Oh yeah BYU is as whitebread as a college can be pretty much. There is a professional basketball player in Europe who was kicked off of BYU's b-ball team for having consensual sex with his long-term, appropriately-aged girlfriend before they were married. BYU is seriously a bizarro-school in the most bizzaro state in the union (Utah, probably the most theocratic state in the USA)
@@moonscorch Had a Camaro SS senior year of high school with t-tops, and he couldn't fit in it without taking them off even in winter. What Brick wanted, he got 😂
I go to Michigan State, and at a State football game I saw someone wearing an MSU jersey with "Tacktheritrix" on the back alluding to the player from this video. Every sports fan I know has seen this skit at some point
Both of them came from MadTV back in the early 2000s, which was a sketch show that rivaled Saturday Night Live in its day. They did a bunch of seasons of Key and Peele after that, before both delving into acting in movies with jordan peele becoming a renowned director as well.
Lmao, you're in for a ride boys! Ignore everyone else, start where we all did with their first televised skit "I Said Bitch". I absolutely promise you that you'll see exactly how they became such huge super-stars so quickly.
Other comments have mentioned this already, but the end here, Brigham Young University, "BYU" is a private college owned and operated by the Mormon Church in Utah. It is known for being a very conservative place. I want to add the East West game is inspired by a real thing, a college all star type game. It doesn't get much mainstream attention because it is really meant as a showcase for NFL scouts.
Key and Peele were part of the legendary Sketch Comedy Show MADtv, which was quite similar to SNL, but way more diverse than SNL even to this day. Some of my favorite sketches were, "Slow Brotion", "Mr. Garvey Is Your Substitute Teacher", "Mexican Standoff", and "Auction Block".
Yeah, best summary of Key and Peele that I can provide is that they were comics who came together to make a sketch comedy show for Comedy Central in the US. That took off and launched their respective careers (and tons of memes as you guys realized). Some of my favorite skits from the show include East/West College Bowl, Obama's Anger Translator, Obama Meet and Greet, Valet Movie Fans, Substitute Teacher, and McCringleberry's Excessive Celebration which is a spin-off of this. Since it's a sketch comedy show, a highlight reel would not take too much time to go through but you probably don't need a full watch-along. Since the show ended, both have gone on to be in a bunch of TV and movies. Additionally, Keegan has gone on to make a bunch of appearances doing a dead-on impersonation of Penn State football head coach James Franklin and Jordan has made a name for himself as an acclaimed horror and suspense filmmaker, directing Get Out, Us, and Nope.
And for context, this "East/West Bowl" game is itself a spoof of college football post-season all-star games of which there have been a many over the years but now there are only two; the Senior Bowl and the East/West Shrine Bowl.
There`s also part 2 and 3 (pro edition with real players as well), a music video, and McCringleberry`s excesive celebration, so I guess by now it`s a whole universe! This was funny reaction, hope you guys react to these as well!
It gets even better with them they have a part 2 to this skit and you’ve also got to check out their substitute teacher skit that’s probably the one they are the most well known for
It is that way, though. Keegan Michael-Key appeared on the pregame show of the Penn State-Boise State game talking about the best player names this year, including General Booty, Moh Bility, and Da’realyst Clark. These are actually the real names of players in the U.S.
Oh that is a great one lol! I would also recommend two black guys during an alien invasion (don't know what actual title is but that word salad should get you there)
@DNReacts I mentioned above, but one of these follow up skits both teams have a "rap battle" by releasing competing music videos. As someone who has never seen a Key and Peele sketch and not laughed at least a little, I think rap battle is my favorite, along with the substitute teacher skit of course lol.
Key and Peel are hilarious and the great thing about their skits is they generally have a twist ending as a final stinger like Dan Smith was in this one.
Key & Peele have said they based this sketch on former NFL player D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Ferguson (along with other NFL players) later appeared in Part 3 of these sketches. Cheers!

Dave Sasson (I think that’s how it’s spelled) is a TV actor I believe, and Jeff Worthing is a boxing commentator. He might still be partnered with Lennox Lewis
If no one has mentioned it (lot of comments), they do another sketch with the Hingle McCringleberry character. It has to do with excessive touchdown celebrations, it's hilarious. There are two more parts to this sketch, as well. "Substitute Teacher" also has a lot of funny names in it. As with any sketch comedy show, it's hit or miss (Mitchell and Webb had a great skit about that), but they honestly hit way more than they miss, in my opinion. Also, Jordan Peele is a renown horror director as well as comedian. He wrote/directed the films Get Out, Nope, and Us.
My Fantasy NFL team name last year was J'Dinkalage Morgoone. There is basically no human in the US who watches football that doesn't know and love this skit. Also, Jordan Peele is a HUGE director in Hollywood now and has made massive films like Get Out and Nope
When you watch the show Key and Peele would joke around and introduce the skit and sometimes they would explain how they came up with the skit. Unfortunately the introductions are removed from the clips on RUclips. If I remember this correctly Jordan Peele was playing a Madden NFL game and noticed one of the players was named D'brickashaw Ferguson and realized a lot of American Football players have strange names and decided to write a skit based on that.

Dan Smith from BYU was my favourite ending to the whole thing. Because BYU is notorious as a white bread uni due to being a church school in Utah.

More than that, it's a Mormon university in Utah. They could do another one of these with all the weird stuff Mormons tend to name their kids.
*Mormon school, which yeah is a church school but any race can go to a church school, but Mormonism is like 95% white.
A big inspiration for this sketch was Jordan Peele first becoming aware of real-life NFL player D'Brickashaw Ferguson.
