What happens if your car doesn't have a foot well lighting in the car, would I would have to use the fuse box to hardwire for the front cig. lighter slot. But not sure if i need to use a 22-16 awg connection to crimp and connect the wires or use a 16-14 awg.
you said that you used two led heads to avoid hotspots; i can see the hot spots are mostly in the bends and curves of the cable, but using two heads? what does that mean?
That would require pulling the door panel and running one of the lighting source cables through the loom that your door wiring (power door locks/window) is already running through.
How do you connect app with installation? In my car it’s manually on /off via 12V socket but now it’s flashing all colors red green blue all the time it is very annoying..
If it's the same lighting I have. Download the Happylighting app. Make sure you lights are on. Wait a few seconds for the Bluetooth to turn on from the controller box. Turn on Bluetooth on phone and connect to the controller. Then open the app. On the top left side menu make sure you are connected to the controller. Now you can control the lights. Hope that helps
This is a great video, very useful information. Also, when it's hard-wired does it always turn on when you start the car, or can you set it to be off when you turn the key?
The kit comes with 6 meters. At first I didn't cut but I ended up cutting so I can use some for the doors. No cigarette cable. I connected to my existing footwell lights.
@@AutoSensation but its diffcuilt when cut it, doors not nessecery, you can just do all areound the front of the car and use cigg cable, otherwise some exprienced told me when you are takin off them, it will be hard work!
Can they be wired into the door switches. So when you open the door and close it they turn on and fade when the car is started. Then turned on when desired??
@@AutoSensation thanks, wondering if you could use another switch wired in to use them for both door entry then switch at will when wanted. Really want the factory look of lights when entering and at will when parked. Was the install difficult? I have a corvette and there aren't many gaps to tuck anything in to. And most factory lights are hidden by a shelf above like a recessed lamp where as you don't actually see the bulb. You just get that beautiful light coming down from under the shelf without actually seeing the bulbs themselves. How many amps should the mini fuse be for the Chasing ambient dreamlight strip LED's?

nice
Does this drain car battery!
No it does not as long as you don't connect directly to the battery.

Thanks.
It's not bright enough for a corolla cuz u gotta bend it a lot :(

Is it the same process to ground the wires to the car? I drive a 2014 scion tC
Yes
Can I just use the 12v cigarette adapter to power it on? So I can manually turn them on and off without being hardwire.

How do you like this over the EL wire? Which one do you recommend?
I love these over the el wire. The ability to change colors and control brightness did it for me.

How do you hide the wire from the doors into the main cabin?
That would require pulling the door panel and running one of the lighting source cables through the loom that your door wiring (power door locks/window) is already running through.
Does this work on 2016-2018 as well?
Yes. It's universal

Set and forget
This is a great video, very useful information. Also, when it's hard-wired does it always turn on when you start the car, or can you set it to be off when you turn the key?
You can set it to turn off when the key is off. You just connect the power wire to a fuse that shuts off when the keys is off.
@@AutoSensation Cool, thanks!
I don't have the footwell lighting, how would I connect the wires? I've only seen people use the cigarette lighter, but that is ugly
You can tap into the fuse box. You will need to figure out which fuse is the cigarette plug fuse and tap into that.
Could you please do a door video please
Yes. It is next on the list. Give me about a week or so. Subscribe so you know when I post the video. Thanks
