@@FTF-Media This ain't really a spoiler, but just a tip. When Envy uses his disguises the show will ALWAYS shows him transform back to his default form. This will save you from a lot of unnecessary confusion.
While I am happy to see an FMAB video I wanna say: Sorry to hear you had pneumonia, glad you're getting better. Always remember that your health is what's most important. Take it easy & take care of yourself, there's nothing to apologize for. Big Bless.
Copied from someone elses comment- IMPORTANT DETAILS IN FUTURE EPISODES A Episodes 6, 8, 28, 29, 30, 32, 33, 36, 40, 42, 43, 44, 46, 48, and 49 have scenes after the credits; they are sometimes just fun little vignettes, but often they include significant details that will be relevant later on, and that might make some future events confusing if you haven't watched them; it's therefore highly recommended to watch them. If you don't have this list at hand, just look at how much time is left in the video when you get to the credits; if it's more than usual, there's almost certainly a post-credits scene. Furthermore, the credits in episodes 45, 54, 63, and 64 are different than usual, and worth watching (especially the ones in 64, which everyone will probably be expecting a reaction to).
Growing up I used to think of this as a happy anime/manga. As I have grown older and seen more people react to it, I can see more how it does get VERY dark for longer than I remembered. (I first read the manga around age 14, and within a couple of weeks, so the darker moments didn't linger for me.) It is definitely a story that I love, and have only grown to enjoy more so as I see other people experience it and share their own perspectives to expand my understanding of the story. It does a wonderful job of balancing a very dark world with characters that often feel more at home in a much lighter setting, because they are trying to do the best they can. We get a great look at that with Armstrong this episode. He has often been the comedic relief, tearing his shirt off and flexing, even in serious fights like with Scar. Yet when confronted with direct evidence that a subordinate he trusted, and relied on did something so terrible, and died in so brutal a way, he has trouble keeping his emotions in check. That anger at Roy, at himself for being fooled by Ross, and at the world for just piling on more tragedy is so clearly on his face, and then the disappointment that this is all outside of his power to fix is beautifully drawn and acted. Also, Roy had not really known Ross before this. It is not the clearest, as a lot of viewers assume that the military is one unit, but Ross was under Armstrong, who is a lower rank than Mustang, and may or may not be directly under his command. (I don't recall off the top of my head. They have a decent amount of interaction as they are fellow state alchemists, and are serving in the city, but it could go either way unless I am forgetting something.) Armstrong was put in charge of the Elric's protection when they went to Resembool, but then delegated that to his own subordinates once they got back to Central. If Armstong is directly under Mustang, that still puts Ross and Brosh as 3+ tiers lower than Mustang, the subordinate of a subordinate, potentially of a subordinate. He may have known her name, or seen a picture, but she wasn't someone he would be ready to use lethal force just on sight. That got a little longer than I intended, but I really like the show, and have been really enjoying your reactions so far! As the ending song says: "Let it all out." Take a deep breath, and know that all your questions will be answered eventually, just not always when you want them answered. This definitely is a stressful episode though.
youtube just recommended your channel to me, really liking your vibe (and also of the guy that is in the early videos), sad you were sick, hope you get better and it stays that way!
Look at the bright side. You can watch as many episodes as you want in sequence. Imagine if you watched the anime during its release... having to wait 1 or 2 weeks to maybe get the answers you're looking for... it was nerve-wracking lol
Perhaps the most confusing (at least initially) thing about the cover story for Armstrong and Ed going to Resembool is that... His automail mechanic (Winry) is in central (and she's relocated to Rush valley) anyway so he would not need to go anywhere to get repairs, and probably not Resembool. Of course from a military intelligence perspective it makes sense to use this premise to send the two to Resembool without raising suspicion. Armstrong has accompanied Ed to Ressembool for automail repairs before, and this would reflect on the records, so a second similar trip for two military staff would raise no eyebrows if someone were to be spying on Roy and those connected with him (like Armstrong and Ed). But now the question is, why does Roy need to send the two to Resembool without raising suspicion from those who may be observing him from within the military?
I love how it was taking Alex everything he had to stop himself from destroying Roy on the spot. And the scary thing is, Alex may be one of the few alchemists who could hold his own against Roy. He may lose in the end, but he wouldn't go out easy.
thank you so so much, that is so very kind of you to say ! i love doing little sketches of my fav characters and such :) i am hoping to make an instagram soon that i can share with you all :) ! and chainsaw man is ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITES :) !!!! i am anime only for it, but i cannot wait for more :)
oh goodness ! i am so sorry to hear that, and i hope that they feel better very very soon !! gosh pneumonia can be pretty rough, so i hope they didn’t get hit too hard !
This ain't really a spoiler, but just a tip. When Envy uses his disguises the show will ALWAYS shows him transform back to his default form. This will save you from a lot of unnecessary confusion. Also Mustang never actually met Ross before since she is Armstrong's subordinate who works in Central but Mustang just moved there from the East
Not to bring more depression, but Roy took part in Ishval's genocide, he isn't a hero he said so himself "soldiers are supposed to follow orders"... Obviously there is depth to his character and he doesn't seem to be on Envy and Lust's side. And yes we know that Envy cannot perform Roy's alchemy, that was definitely Roy at the end.
Yeah. This was definitely a look at the Mustang from back in Ishval, shutting down his own thoughts to accomplish the mission. It also is added to by his grief over Hughes, making it easier to slip back to that dark place.
This episode is a really nice reminder Roy Mustang is a war criminal and has killed thousands of innocents in Ishval :3 I think the biggest strength of this show is to show humans as humans. This show truly is a ballad for humanity in all its darkness and all its glory

@atipruzlan Not always, but the show does make it clear to the viewer it is Envy, even if the characters remain in the dark.
Important note: there are a few episodes where there is important content after the ending credits. Make sure you check them all.
