I never liked RE: Zero. Aside with always placing items on the ground cause there is no friggin item box, It just doesn't tie in well with RE 1 story. The game should've been centered around Bravo Team (with Kenneth, Forest and Richard taking turns as the secondary character and Enrico as the backstabbing antagonist) and the carnage that led to their demise rather than Rebecca going over the river and through the woods with hansome cuff dangling war criminal who just happens to be in the area, facing off against a Final Fantasy looking villian.
That was another thing, Rebecca acted like a unskilled Rookie who thinks perfume spray can knock out a Zombie or too chicken shit to fetch serum for Richard during the events of RE1 and not act at least hardened after what she been through in RE0. Heck she was riding in a abandoned still functioning passenger trains that took her miles and miles away from the Spencer Mansion somehow managed to hurry back on foot right in time of RE1.
14:00 In fact 3D character meshes in RE Zero have at least three times the quality that models in RE4 have. *For example* Rebecca's mesh has 14.6K faces vs Leon's which has 4.9K faces. Textures are also much better in RE Zero. Rebecca's face is a 1024x1024 4MB texture vs Leon's which is a 1024x512 2MB texture. Rebecca's eye has a separate 512x512 texture, whereas Leon's eye is in the same face texture I mentioned before. Heck, Rebeca even has a 64x64 texture for her eyelashes.
Played Resident Evil since the OG Playstation release. This is the only entry I haven't finished because I rage quit in frustration. This video made me feel better about my decision. I award this video *MONKEY* out of 10 Stars.
This is the worst RE I've played, story, gamplay, characters, setting. Everything pretty much sucks, but since they thought they hadn't blew it enough, they took away the crates system. O K .
I think it's a great re game tbh with flaws. The charecter switching and lack of the box sucked but the level design is the best in the series and has a pretty good variety overall. I think a remake would suit zero well
This is my least favorite of the "classic" style RE games as well. While it did have some great environments, and the partner system was creative, I really didn't like the item dropping system, and I really didn't like the way that some of the enemies were designed, such as the monkeys and the leech creatures. It just wasn't for me.
@@co81385 biggest problems besides those are the blend characters and story. And the settings tbh I only remember the train fondly. I thought i was going to be another awesone classic Re experience but didn't work for me.
