Really, we should all just ignore the original entirely, since the remake actually manages the creator's vision of the game, and is much better than the original. It also tells the exact same story. Oh, and it's prettier to look at. Otherwise, they're exactly the same. So there's no point. I'm not being rude, at least not intending to. I'm just presenting my opinion, that I find separate reviews pointless. In this day and age, yes, you have to tell people if you mean to be offensive. Otherwise you'd never know how they'd react.
@@jcage1022 the original is still important as it was the game that brought the genre into mainstream. Without it there would be no Resident Evil, no zombie trends in 2000s, no defined survival horror. We cant just forget the one that made it all possible.
Excellent review of an excellent game. You should consider looking at Indiana Jones, Infernal Machine, on N64 and PC. Very similar to Tomb Raider. Controls are a bit clunky, but level designs are just excellent.
So, looking back on it, and forgive me if I missed the answer in this video since it's been a while since I watched this video in one sitting.. I'm not sure if it's what you're referring to the at the end or if's referring to the fixed-camera stuff. But how do you stand on the debate of the original vs the remake? I often see people say that the remake for 1 replaces the original universally, but as somebody who has never played the original or even the remake all the way through (but has pretty thoroughly watched it), the original seems pretty different at times with pacing. And even the differences between certain RE versions seems significant at times, since there's a version of the game where I believe you can't even autoaim and enemies are stronger. Do you feel there's merits to the original game that set it apart enough to be worthy of playing over the remake? Lately I've been interested in the idea of playing the original, it's just kinda hard figuring out what particular version. Seems like some people think I'm crazy for showing an interest in wanting to play it instead of the remake. It's like all the people telling me I should play Silent Hill 2 when I express an interest in wanting to play Silent Hill (1).
16:36 - Why did you even say it like that, knowing that you could have said : "It was replaced by a boss room encounter and can only be entered from another door"
because...the door knob is broken when before you could pass through. That's all i was saying. It was just a "ha! you remembered it one way but now it's different." I'll give you that i probably should've stated the room hasn't gone to waste itself.
Played RE2 on my PS3 (virtual console/ network store/ whatever) I still haven't finished it. Played on rookie mode cuz I'm a noob who spins around circles with an infinite ammo machine gun, plays roulette with a rocket launcher, and Leon walks around like this ”I'm the worst fucking day ever” (yeah theirs a zombie apocalypse, you have to lock yourself in the zombie-infested largest police station ever, and you have to solve puzzles because the police chief was a fucking wacko.) so that attitude is understandable
I clicked that shit so fast it was still rendering and I had to watch it in 360p.
Good vid.

great review as always, just kinda bummed, we didn't get to seperate reviews, one for the original, and one for the remake

Awesome as always!
Great review. Say. You wouldn't mind doing reviews all in depth spoilers in the MGS series aka metal gear saga? I'm interested if you are.
There's a much better reviewer for that named matthewmatosis. you'll definitely enjoy his speal on those.
Thanks man.
Or Superbunnyhop. He did not depth reviews but critical close ups, which is nearly the same.
3:08 xD
Where is that alternate version of the save from theme from at the begging of the video? It sounds amazing!
Composed it for the video. It's not anywhere.
well erm... it's still amazing! could you bless our ears with it?
guess not then...
that loop you hear at the beginning. literally the whole song. it's just that loop on repeat.
as is the save room theme!
RE 1 - my favourite game of all time.

How do you misspell cannon? Did the police catch you trying to learnz?
Easy. when i know it bugs folk like yourself who feel the need to correct everything :)
The Game Statistic haha I didn't grammar police ya, just asking a simple question.
I know it's gonna drive folks nuts.

Looking back at it, I think this video might be the single most joke-dense thing you've ever created. It's almost rapid-fire at times.
Do that resident evil 2 remake when it drops
Brandon Hurd not when it drops. when its finished. patches, dlc and all.
The Game Statistic true..gotta wait for all them thangs 😂
Oh, and don't worry. We're all a little racist. It's cool.
