She’s a great singer with a voice that can be heartachingly angelic. IWe ordered one of her albums and my wife and I listen to it often. I reckon Amy’s shy and I’d hate to ask her to sing more on the show but I’m happy enough with Sunday’s surprise and the album I purchased. Please buy it and find out for yourself.
My introduction to Lonesome Whistle was Little Feat's version... more specifically, Lowell George's version. Check it, people. It's a good one. I love Hanks version and now yours as well.
All of em 😂🤣😂🤣 ... Sincerely hard to choose. I play myself. Just as a hobby around the house from time to time. Never shared as much with anyone before, but will confess I added my own verse to So Lonesome I Could Cry. ... Might be bad form ta do so, but remember, it's just within my house, so it doesn't really matter. Anyhow, if curious ... Have you ever felt so all alone that the world has passed you by Well, it's just a sign of growing old I'm so lonesome I could cry. ... Thanks as always Mr. Otis. ... Amy & the pup as well 🙏👍🤠
My Heart Would Know, Window Shopping, and the one you just did so well. I think the greatest of them all must be I’m So Lonesome. “The silence of a falling star…”
Thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you. Not sure what my favourite is. Your Cheatin’ heart ranks high. Spoilt for choice really. Great singing matched with beautiful filming, by the way. Good job.
Fantastic job, you really captured the the beauty and sadness of Hank, I rarely comment on anything and usually don't care for many covers of Hanks but you do it justice. I've been watching your channel for some time now and I truly enjoy you. You seem like the kind of person I would get along with very easy. Great job and keep them coming.
I always felt Amy's voice always had this gospel quality to it. So lovely to get to hear her. Now if you could teach Wendel to sing backup we could get you 3 on the Opry!❤
truly fantastic otis and amy....purty indiana porch love dogs cats otissssss hank and amy...angelic whiopporwhilling.....the moon does cry sometimes sometimes we can dance...thanks yall much love SJOCR
RIP Hank! I'm so Lonesome I Could Cry,.. think about the words Man!! Silence of a falling star,... Awesome! Otis, we don't get to hear you sing enough and, where have you been hiding Miss Amy? Beautiful voice! Totally Blew me Away!
What a treat to hear you and the lovely Amy. I’d love to see the two of you singing more often. Thank you so much for this. I’m adding this to my list of favorites.
I have been watching your channel for quite a while, and I had never seen Miss Amy before, and did not realize she was a singer. What a beautiful voice. I really enjoyed this episode.
I had just poured my first cup of coffee, picked up my phone and found this treasure! It doesn’t get any better than Hanks music being sang, especially my favorite “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”. Otis, Amy along with the pup! It don’t get any better! I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated it much! God Bless!
Great tribute. The outstanding music and cinematography created a nice tableau of history in the south that brought a lot of folks together. Todd’s camera work was excellent. The singing beautiful. Thanks!!
The best way ever to start my Sunday morning...Otis with Amy singing great old songs and wonderful video by Todd Fox...I truly feel blessed...thank you so very much.
Thank you both, plus pets. I always kinda thought of Woody Guthrie as the father of music for the folks, until you mentioned Hank was the original. Thank you so much. You both sound great, and so goes that guitar.❤
No words to describe. Utter delight when I listened to Amy and yourself. Proof posoitive I’m not alone.Thank you. Only criticism, why only 3 songs ? I was prepared to listen for hours. Never thought Hank could be touched as a writer but since Kristopherson, Dylan and John Prine have made that tiny list of writers. A list counted on one hand is pretty elite. Now, his singing is another topic. Only artist in 70 plus years that continually bring tears to my eyes. And you did it again. Otis you made my year!!!! You rock !!
Nice To See Amy, Wendel and You Otis to Celebrate Hank Williams Sr’s 100th Birthday here in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and This Humid 78 Degree Sunday Morning!

❤🎉❤ sorry this was way during my bed time but great stuff thanks Otis Amy and kitties.....Otis u do get ur due on community radio metaphysical biscuits today for what it matters and in a show with Brent Cobb and in a hat line up and chat that includes music history names like it's Hayes Kelsey and Otis Redding and much more. Thanks for inspiring caring sharing. SJOCR
You played my 3 favourites! Thank you Otis. I enjoy all your stories and guests. Anything on Arlo McKinley? I enjoy covering some of his songs my channel.
As a dipshit Freshman in High School playin' the music of Mr. Hank Williams on a loop while spellin' my name "Jimi",,,, that kid sang along in harmony. The weathered man listenin' to these wonderful renditions, finally realized he's survivin' the hurt of Mr. Williams's words. This is film is incredibly impactful & beautifully created.
Howdy Otis, I flew all the way from Kentucky to Montgomery so I could go see Hank's grave for his 100th birthday. I went, and they had a celebration, and I got to perform some songs afterward. It was such a cool experience. Hank was, and still is, the greatest!
I had not heard Amy sing before. Gorgeous voice! And Otis too, of course. Thank you, folks. Thank you, Hank.
I had the same thought.
She’s a great singer with a voice that can be heartachingly angelic. IWe ordered one of her albums and my wife and I listen to it often.
