This really turned out great, I love building post apocalyptic vehicles because your completely free to build anything you want regardless of how impractical or insane the idea is.
It would've been cool to have painted it opposite to "Herbie the luv bug",maybe black with green and orange pin stripes, and a large 53 on the side . Since it would've fit in with the war machine aspect of the build. Also who wouldn't love a self driving "Herbert the slug bug.
it took quite a while, but the wait was worth it.. This thing turned out amazing! very cool indeed!! too bad this model wasnt a ww2 era VW KDF beetle, that would really add to all the WW2 parts on it, but thats a very minor thing... this car really looks good! now, do you think this could be fielded in any bolt action type game in any way?
Very nice results there Herbert, well done my friend. I love what you did with the Beetle and the paint job and weathering just add that extra little bit of realism to the model. I think I would like to make one of these some day, perhaps when my spares box has enough little extras to make it possible. You seem to use a lot of Vallejo paints, is there a reason for this or are they just convenient for you?? Have a great day and have fun Herbert (I must admit that every time I hear that name, it reminds me of a very strange episode of the original series of Star Trek!!), Joe
You seem very sure, probably ok if the other road warriors were driving citron 2 cv’s ,but somehow I can’t see mad max in one,but ok it’s your post opocalytptic world and you can do it anyway you want,by the way love your work and witty banter keep it up please

Very well done! I appreciate your tedious documentation of each painting application and weathering step.
Great project and great result. Nice video .
Deserves more views and subs!

That looks awesome. Great work, the weathering is just right.
Looking forward to seing another build like this
I allways wondered how you Aussies survive all those nasty critters...easy with such a car. ;)
This has got to be my favourite creation of yours. Bravo, Herbert!
Death Race meets Carmageddon. Love it
Multiple thin coats? Lord Duncan will be proud.

Looks amazing, you must of had a lot of fun weathering it, not having to base it off an actual vehicle
battle beetle? more like a battle beast!
another hidden gem hidden in the depths of RUclips.
Looks, great. Really appreciate the very high production values here, Derp, really excellent. Must have taken a looong time to cut.
It did, at least for the first, rough edit. There was also some fun involving footage that was somehow ultra low frame rate.
Holy shit Herbert! That,s brlliant m8!

You should do an ALL AMERICAN muscle car?

Looks awesome, Herbert! Just curious about who mans the rear machine gun. Perhaps they instruct yoga.
I think they might. Or maybe it's remote controlled.
Herb, do you know any wargames this could be used in? Like a Mad Max style thing.
GW used to do a game, LONG AGO! .. lol, Called Dark Future ... I don't know of any new ones though ;)
they could easily be used in a scaled up version of Gaslands. Just need to enlarge the movement templates.
I want to make my real 1974 beetle look like this
dab!
Love the paintjob but you should have made it red!! Red goes fasta!!!
Do you have plans on such a vehicle for the near future?
I've been meaning to start working on a truck kit for something similar in the near future.
@@HerbertErpaderp nice. I will wait.
I see warhammer 40,000 tau stuff
Yup. Tau were my first wargaming army of any kind. Still have a lot of spare bits in my bits box.
*Black*
Intent créate other battle beetle in style herbie please in mi opinión the name of the veicule is better twisted metal beetle
I'm laughing way to much when I saw this , not that it's stupid but how ridiculous you can make something
Would anybody really pick a beetle for a “battle car” 😂
Of course they would.
