Hello @michaeltucker5915 - thanks for watching and commenting! It is appreciated. Well, you ordered the best pellet grill out on the market (in my humble opinion), great choice! You won't be disappointed with the smoke produced, that's for sure. I am really impressed on how well this thing works right out of the crate. It's about a 5 month wait, depending upon your geographic location (closer to Houston = faster shipment). Mine was right at the 5 month mark. Don't forget to season the grill and run it through several lower heat cycles before doing any high temperature cooks. Take care, and Happy New Year! - The Lost Canuck
Hello @Wellse818 - Thanks for watching and commenting! Much appreciated. You are going to love your new pit, it it really nice. The Fireboard system makes everything pretty easy. Make sure you order a can of touch up paint with the pit, it will come in handy :) . The wait for me was the hardest part. Take care, and smoke on! - Lost Canuck
@@LostCanuckBBQ Thanks, I certainly ordered the touch up paint and replacement seal, off-road kit and stainless-steel front table as well. Keep the videos coming !
Hi @youngbrad1705 - Thanks for the comment and watching. Remember, patience is a virtue, and the pit is well worth the wait. Everything is hand built custom, one at a time. Don't forget to get a can of touch up paint, and some rubber edge trim for "bumpers". Don't ask how I know, but I know :) Smoke On! - Lost Canuck
@@williamgreen6889 hey! Thanks for watching and commenting! Much appreciated! It was very tasty. Good smoke flavor. I’m super impressed with the LSG pellet grill so far. Take care, and Smoke On! - Lost Canuck
@@Ryansbbqnbrew well, I only have the brisket cook in, but it was smokey! The bark was nice too, better than my Louisiana. After I get a few more racks of ribs and shoulders in, I’ll let you know. It smokes like crazy, though, and that was just with B&B pellets. If I use their custom wood chips in the mix, or the Smokin Pecan pellets, I’m sure the smoke will be even more pronounced. @@larry4188 hi @larry4188 - thanks for commenting and watching! Much appreciated! As far as any effects from cold, not so far. It’s been pretty good, but it’s only been in the 20’s and 30’s. Next week it’s going down to single digits, so I’ll let you know 😁.
I hope you post your video on the experiment. My State gets in the freezing temp and that will one of the major decision factors. I could go with another pellet grill company, but don’t want to get a thermal jacket for it.
@@larry4188 hey - I’ll let you know, as I will be cooking lots in January, and it’s going to get cold here in Hudson! Take care, and more content with the LSG coming! - Lost Canuck
I live in Florida, so the weather won't be an issue. I was wondering, though, how was the smoke flavor of the brisket? I ordered mine in October and am due to receive it in the February/March time frame 🙌 Also, OUTSTANDING content on the LSG, sir.
Hello @henrylewis7652 ! - First, thanks for watching and commenting. I am envious of your winter weather down there :) - The smoke flavor was very good. Not overpowering, but definitely there and more than my other pellet smokers make. That smoke that I had shown was just using B&B pellets, so nothing too special. I haven't tried to mix the wood chips in yet, so I imagine that it will be even smokier. I also have a case of the Smokin' Pecan pellets that I want to try out as well. On my little Blaz'n unit, they smoke like crazy! So far, the new LSG unit is a real beast - smokes all the time. You will really enjoy yours. Just keep it dry and covered. Take care, and smoke on! - Lost Canuck
Great video! I ordered my Lone Star 36" yesterday and I'm very excited to get it here hopefully in four or five months!

How’s the smoke flavor compared to other pellets smokers you have? Any better or about the same? Looked good 👍

Any complaints about the Lone Star while cooking outdoors in the cold?
