I just installed a 330 watt Solar Panel on the roof of my 2006 H3 (no Sun Roof ) 5 speed manual transmission, and bought a SUV Tent for the rear hatch (might have to modify it a little with the hatch that opens horizontally but I'll make it work !) I'll be headed out towards Arizona and Colorado for a few months in a few weeks ! I have a 100 Amp hour LiFePo4 battery box with a 200 watt inverted that will run my 12 volt 25quart fridge and my Electric Mattress pad when needed...the Solar panel will recharge my battery box when I am not traveling. Colman Stove etc. Rear seats have been removed and I will be pulling out the passenger seat just before I head out. I'm a 77 year old Disabled Vietnam War Veteran and a Retired US Over the Road trucker ! *FJB !*
Yay!! Another H3 build 😊.. I have a 06 adventure package H3. Mines sitting.. it burned a valve and the mechanic busted 2 head bolts.. so it sat until I tried to back them out!! I used a left hand bit to drill them out and as soon as it gripped they backed right out!! I was so surprised! Once the break they no longer have tension on them I guess so they back right out.. anyway I replaced the valve but then the bottom end started knocking.. so I should have had it rebuilt!! .so the crank is probably too bad to turn now. But it's my winter project so we will see.. anxious though it's so amazing off road!!!
Sorry to hear about those mechanical issues, they can be nerve racking. Hopefully you get them fixed soon and back on the trail! I had a similar experience with the exhaust manifold bolts. I broke one and though it would be difficult to get out, but it came out easy. Once the manifold was out I used a heat gun and small vice grips to back it out.
I have a 2006 H3. I Upvoted your Video before I watched much of the video, as soon as I saw the *"Let's Go Brandon"* decal on your rear window ! Liked/Subscribed ! *FJB !*
Just picked one up last year as a project myself. Cant wait to see where yours goes. its a fun platform to mess around with and the capabilities of the vehicle are great. Personally not a fan of chrome but I love that sticker on the back window. Cheers brother
It really is fun to work on and they sure don't make trucks like they used to anymore. Everything feels solid. There is also so much information available online for these that it makes it easier to troubleshoot and mod. Not a fan of the chrome either, but for some reason I seem to end up with vehicles that have the chrome accents (by luck, chance, or curse). I'm considering other options, because a lot of my chrome is starting to crack and peel. I had put new tires on the stock wheels and when I need new tires again I'm going to see if I either get the wheels powder coated or if I change them out altogether. Well good luck and hope you enjoy yours, it gets addicting and expensive! I've kept my costs down by doing a lot of the work myself. I'm not a mechanic, but mechanically inclined. There definitely are some things I leave to the professionals. Cheers!
Hello, where did you get the running boards that drop? I have been looking for them, do you have a name for them? Thx. I have a 2006 H3, really like it.
Hi, those are called the N-Fab RKR Step System. The steps are removable, but they're already much higher than anything else I've seen so I've never felt the need to remove them. While they are supposedly made for the Hummer H3, the installation was a little bit of a challenge to get right. You can read more about it in the reviews. In my case I had to grind some notches on the top of the brackets because otherwise the body would come in contact with them and make creaking noises. Good luck and enjoy your Hummer H3! www.amazon.com/dp/B076HB2723/ref=pe_386300_440135490_TE_item?th=1
Yes I do! At first I noticed it a lot, but you get used to it and you learn the limit. I don't really mind it anymore. Just need to be aware on u turns and tight turns etc. I've heard that with different wheels you can have 35's with no rubbing, but I can't really give any guidance as to which ones. Between 35's and rubbing and anything else I'll take the rubbing :)
@@joeshummeroffroad no mods probably one of the most well kept ones around and never off roaded, simply heard a pop from the back and entire rear end moved backwards about 2 inches both sides

Solid build, Love it!
Thanks! I hope I can get some more off roading done soon for the next video.
Beautiful build man! This is exactly what I want to do to my H3 up here in Canada 👍
Thanks for the comment! Gotta keep these old beasts going. These days, they sure don't make cars like they used to! Have fun with your build!

Thank you very much! Now I just need to get off road again. It's been a while.
wow ! man your truck is amazing ! just bought one last month and you gave me tons and tons of idea ! :) and keep your build detailled
Thanks! Good luck on your build! Will try to post more soon!
I had an h3 with the 4" lift on 35s rear locker. I regret selling it. These Hummers still look cool today.

Can you post links for all the accessories you have added to your Hummer?
Hi! Thanks for your interest. I updated the description with a list. Let me know if I missed anything.

Nice hummer! Do you get rubbing on the sway bar with the 35s?

@joeshummeroffroad I have -12 offset and rub on the fender. I would rather rub on the sway bar than the fender. I'm going to switch mine up. Thanks
Lets Go Brandon, Tastefully done.
It's those finishing touches that matter!
At the 12:00 mark you said everyone has these. I don't and I don't even know what you were referring to !

Oh yeah sorry it's a Lev-O-Gage inclinometer on the dashboard. It lets you know you are right side up
@@joeshummeroffroad whats the size of urs tires hummer h3? Thanks
Watch out these can have catastrophic failure with the leaf springs, both rears broke at the same time
That sounds like it would be dangerous! Did anything happen when it occurred? Did you have any modifications to the rear?
