I started this same diet about 6 months ago and swear by it. Had been seeing a doctor for thyroid medication which meant blood tests every 3 months. After 3 months on this diet, my inflammation markers went from 7.5 down to 1.2, an incredible drop in inflammation! Many other health benefits followed, especially with the disappearance of joint pain. I highly recommend everyone try this.
@silvamaney8897 I’m assuming they take thyroid hormone, so they likely are doing well carnivore. I take T3 and carnivore has not negatively affected my thyroid as far as I can tell, I actually feel better. It’s illogical that they say it negatively affects the thyroid because some of us feel a lot better without carbs and actually see an increase in inflammation when we add “healthy” carbs in.
My 2nd anniversary of carnivore is in 2 weeks. It took 6 weeks initially to feel the inflammation to become noticeably improved. I believe everyone has their own timeline and just keep going. Don't give up.
The reason beef is so successful and pork/chicken isnot so much, is that the ruminents fermentation 4 stomach process removes the plant poisons as well most herbicides and pesticides sprayed on crops. Leaving a pure protein source.
@@JanZigbeit depends on where in the wild and what their food sources are. I have enough self reverence to not eat anything raised near nuclear waste or close to the Mississippi River.
Jesus Christ NO, that's NOT how it works. An animal's METABOLISM targets any kind of toxins (yes, that's the proper word NOT "poisons") which are then broken down (aka metabolized) and excreted. When eating an animal you are not coming into contact with any kind of toxic substance such as herbicides or pesticides, but NOT because a cow magically fermented them in its stomach, but because METABOLISM of which digestion is only a small part. Antibiotics are also completely broken down and excreted. As for proteins, there is no such thing as "a pure protein source". Plants also contain proteins which are no less "pure" than any contained in an animal. When animals eat plants, their bodies break down the plant proteins into amino acids, which are then reassembled into new proteins that are specific and UNIQUE to the animal's own body structure and functions. So the proteins we find in meat are not identical to the proteins in the plants the animal ate. But this difference - created by what is called biological protein synthesis - doesn't make any protein superior or "purer" than the others. What matters is their usable form. And since humans are more similar to cows than cabbages, our own biological protein synthesis is easier from meat than plants. In translation, we get more nutrients with less energy input. This is as simple as I can put it, but bear in mind it is a simplification, for more detail one needs learn at least a little biochem in order to understand these, in reality, exquisitely complex processes.

I'm not sure about that 2 week time. It took me about 3 weeks to become fat adapted. During those 3 weeks things were a bit all over the place. I reckon you might need to do a fairly strict carnivore for that long just to let everything settle down and get used to eating plenty of fat before introducing any significant carbs back into the diet. The one thing I still struggle with is getting enough fat.
This roughly reflects the pattern observed by keto researchers Dr. Stephen Phinney and Jeff Volek. They studied endurance athletes and it took them about 3 weeks to transition into stable ketosis. And an additional 3 more months to become fat adapted and able to perform their sport at pre keto levels. I imagine for those non-athletes or those with poor metabolic health it might take longer than the 3 weeks plus 3 months. 🤷🏻♀️
Dr Elizabeth Bright would adjust the plan according to individual needs based on detailed questionnaires, bloodwork, & interviews. This explanation is an example. Every person’s information would be considered & adjusted accordingly.

Even though Jesse did his best, prodding her bravely, to get to the roots of things, her staccato answers have left me confused. What, in Dr Bright's opinion, should the average urban human of today, buffeted by all kinds of stresses in daily life, be eating on a daily basis, ideally? Ruminant meat and salt? Or is that only to be for two weeks as an elimination diet and not to be a considered a complete and regular diet?
An elimination diet is just basic nutrition so we can get relief from whatever metabolic conditions we have. At that point we can reintroduce one item to see if that has a detrimental effect or not to know if it is something we can tolerate. many people stay on all meat and eggs only because it is the most nutritious. I myself eat any red meat, Some pork, a little liver now and then, A good amount of salmon and loads of eggs.

What about them? Many have reversed CKD by going keto/carnivore. Meat and protein are not bad for the kidneys. See Dr Berry’s videos on kidney disease. The comments on the videos are great, too, because so many comment on improvement and reversal.
My body could not handle the 2-week diet. Even with digestive enzymes, I couldn’t handle all the fat and just steak. It all just came out the other end. I really liked it and wanted it to work, but couldn’t do it.
Forget the fat then. Seriously, forget it. My mother did it without the fat or sticking to steak. She just ate meat, any meat she liked which included fish, pork, turkey, duck and chicken. She even said heck who cares and ate a lettuce salad with almost every meal. And it worked wonders for her.
With the all meat/steak/beef diet, if you become constipated , eat more Fat and Vise Versa. YOUR BODY is telling you what YOU NEED. All this will adjust. Good Luck and at least you can start back with less fat. Eat More lean cuts of meat. 🥂!
@@MW1_2_3 You're not going to become constipated from meat. Meat per se does NOT make you constipated. The dramatic change in diet does, because your body is in shock and reacts to stress with constipation. This is quite common: you can get constipated for the simple reason you moved, changed beds, experienced any kind of stress, even went on vacation. Also if you sit all day or are used to coffee, or booze or anything else moving your bowels - your body will be in shock if you take that away. So don't attribute it to meat.
Have more resolve than the two weeks @BluebonnetShelley! Give it six weeks and consume less fat in the beginning and slowly add in fat. It’s worth it!!! I’m going to cook my ground beef anyway so don’t really care. I’ve heard ground and aged are both higher in histamine due to more surface area being exposed to the ambient microbiome.
Yeah I'm not buying this either. It's a shame when a qualified person makes a claim like this because I'm left wondering what else they're wrong about. The fact she recommended decaf coffee as a part of the strict elimination is ridiculous IMO, there's no nutritional or healing benefit to consuming coffee which would be the goal during a strict elimination period. Furthermore, methylene chloride or ethyl acetate is the most commonly used solvents to decaffeinate coffee.. yeah no thanks!!

But then got some good stuff from a farmer’s own cow - better but still didn’t feel the same with the ground beef. Steaks and roasts are fine though. Guess I’m in the sensitive category.
Im blood type A positive, and naturally have a low stomach acid and always get constipated and feel unwell when I eat red meat. Are blood types taken in consideration in carnivore diet? Is there anybody with A positive blood type that has tried this? Thank you
It is highly unlikely you have naturally low stomach acid because this is not natural Physiology. When you change diet dramatically it needs to be a slow transition. When we have been eating the wrong foods for so many years our PH changes, We do not produce enough bile to absorb the amount of fat we really need. You need to "train" your body to produce the required amount of bile for your needs. Don't let people push false beliefs on you, It is preventing you from thriving.
1) If the Carnivore doctor quit this diet, it can't be good long-term. "Physician Paul Saladino, formerly known as Carnivore MD, went on the More Plates More Dates podcast to talk about why he quit the diet. He described how being on the almost exclusively meaty diet for two years made his testosterone drop and caused sleep disturbances, heart palpitations, and muscle cramps." 2) All the blue zones of the world have plant-heavy diets. Not carnivore diets. Carnivore may make people feel good in the short term but it doesn't seem to fare well long-term.
Paul Saladino has daily endurance sport for at least 2 hours a in the morning and more hours in the afternoon. Everyone is different. Some people already being pure carnivore for more than 10 years and they are happy with the lifestyle!
I respect Dr Bright’s knowledge. She’s very insightful and from what interviews I’ve listened to she right about many things that the mainstream get wrong. But I don’t believe ketosis is right for the human body. At least not as a permanent way of living. From my experience….the high fat caused me to become insulin resistant, affected my liver, damaged my pancreas, blocked my gallbladder and reduced my kidney function. I was doing clean keto with organic foods and all the right fats no shortcuts. The inflammation that everyone resolves on carnivore is due to stopping oxalates, lectins, solanines and other plant toxins that mainly accumulate over the years. This is why carbs are considered problematic. These people were previously either on a very low dairy diet or had a severe deficiency of b6 and/or b1. Eventually carnivore and keto will damage your liver….at least. Carbs do not cause diabetes.
Silly to say we evolved to eat in a certain way. What was being eaten on the way to this point so that the person and their descendants survived? It's amazing how seemingly intelligent people fall for nonsense theories.
@aagfnv How does a person find out if their pancreas is wrecked? Carnivore, for 2 weeks, didn't do anything to solve my inflammation. 3 months of carnivore totally shut down my digestion. These carnivore simpletons are clueless. The 'experts' are no better...

Doesn’t work for everyone, particularly if you’re already on medications for certain illnesses. Hypothyroidism, heart patients on beta blockers, people on anti epileptic drugs etc etc. Certain meds and conditions can cause ketoacidosis if you eat zero carbs or fast. I have an issue with chicken skin, I get very bloated and moody. I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis and need to take T3 to feel well, carnivore did not cure me.
It took me almost 3 months before my body adjusted...you gave up too soon. For some of us it just takes a little longer.
Have more resolve than the two weeks @BluebonnetShelley!
Give it six weeks and consume less fat in the beginning and slowly add in fat.
It’s worth it!!!
And if it makes you feel any better I shat myself six times the first three weeks on the diet. 😂😂
I just bought a big pack of undies from Walmart and kept ‘em in the car at all times.😅
Please tell me what's wrong with salmon and other seafood. Evidence shows human's evolved in a relationship with seafood and the coastal environment up to 200,000 years ago.
After 2 months of a high carnivore diet ( 70 % and vegetables) the inflammation in the guts was worsening! Why could that be? 🙏
Maybe cut out the veg.. Dr Shawn baker explains why.
Do you have Chrones or colitis? The reason I ask is because I started strict carnivore to cure microscopic colitis (steak, salt, water)
I'm in my 4th week. Back ache & brain fog gone. Higher energy. Lost 10lb & gained muscle.
Going in the right direction. But like I say its strict.
I wish you well🙏

If your gut is fine, Carnivor is the way maybe, but with inflammations you need fiber for the good bacteria and some fermented stuff. My thoughts..
@@DJPeachyful the diagnosis was leaky guts and a high rate of ‘low inflammations’ in the bloodtests. After the diet it worsened. The inflammation was peaking and now the doctor suggested a colonoscopy… l rather don’t get one

Protein altered by blade of grinding process of beef meat… difficult to believe. I don’t. Ground beef contains grizzle, good stuff.
I’m going to cook my ground beef anyway so don’t really care. I’ve heard ground and aged are both higher in histamine due to more surface area being exposed to the ambient microbiome.
I eat all beef and lamb, but, I've tried many times with ground beef and I feel terrible.
@@wilcurran3377I do ketovore and that seems best for me plus dairy. It seems this crowd are all evolution buyers. That nonsense has been literally debunked, and not in the way the deep state media propagandists in the US use it. It's not even logical.
She mentioned ground beef is not good if you’re extremely sensitive. I have never felt great after eating ground beef. Thought it was the rancid fat they add. But then got some good stuff from a farmer’s own cow - better but still didn’t feel the same with the ground beef. Steaks and roasts are fine though. Guess I’m in the sensitive category.

Two weeks seems incredibly short time to be able to reintroduce foods.
Yeah that’s a pretty optimistic statement.
Very short. I’d say at least 3 to 6 months!
The omega 6 floored him. 😂
He described how being on the almost exclusively meaty diet for two years made his testosterone drop and caused sleep disturbances, heart palpitations, and muscle cramps."
2) All the blue zones of the world have plant-heavy diets.
@@SariPutri-x6v So your point is that a carnivore diet fails at supporting an athletic lifestyle?
@@YesPlease1Seems like the point is that everyone's different.

Back in the day it was a pie chart, not a lie chart.
I'm getting Sarah Connor end-of-times vibes from this.
She seems to know her stuff! Initially I thought he’d found a homeless woman off the street to do an interview 😅
Wow you have missed the boat obviously ~ carbs are complex sugars and they are not only not needed for the body but harm the body physiologically
Silly to say we evolved to eat in a certain way. What was being eaten on the way to this point so that the person and their descendants survived? It's amazing how seemingly intelligent people fall for nonsense theories.
Butter makes my body ill. Most dairy I have trouble with.

Wrecked/sensitive pancreas won’t be happy if you go carnivore cold-turkey.

Be careful if you have anything like this.
Dose not not mean it is healthy. There is no modern chemals in meat. Plus not all meat is the same.
I have Oxalate Poisoning from eating vegan Botany 101 All plants are toxic, Cancer Biology All plants are carcinogenic. Almonds Flaxseed Macadamia nuts Tapioca and cassava are 5 examples of 3000 plants containing Cyanide killing our mitochondria, 3500 plants contain arsenic.
I don’t do well with fat, so I just eat raw steak without the fat-then I eat some ground beef and raw organ meat, it’s amazing. For me, I can’t have eggs or raw dairy.. I have an issue with chicken skin, I get very bloated and moody. I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis and need to take T3 to feel well, carnivore did not cure me. Once you have this disease, it’s unlikely you will be able to get off medication.. it’s different from diabetes where many do end up off medications.
