17-18 ; about iron in Pancreas and insuline resistance ; there is confusion here. 1) iron in beta cell = could limit the insuline production and their reaction to blood glucose. 2) the insuline resistance doesn't comme from the beta cells, it is a cellular reaction to chronic high glucose and high insuline. The link between the 2 must be due to the cell membrane ( oxydatif stress is more toxic on the membrane if C15 and C17 are to low) and the insuline and glucose receptor need a fuctional membrane

She says "eat fiber" as if it was a given and doesnt explain... So why fiber? That doesn't make sense to me since most of these diets that have high c15 are animal based.

@@stockhound205 Ah ok... well ill just keep watching at another time but I watched 58mins and didn't hear them talk about it at all. I was just curious because I read that we cant even produce it at all without dietary intake. "Currently, there's no direct evidence of specific gut bacteria that promote the production of pentadecanoic acid (C15:0), an odd-chain saturated fatty acid considered essential due to its benefits for cardiometabolic and immune health. Since humans cannot synthesize C15:0 efficiently, its primary source remains dietary intake, particularly from foods like dairy and ruminant meat. Studies have highlighted the benefits of C15:0 for cell membrane stability, inflammation reduction, and metabolic health, but no specific bacteria in the gut microbiome have been definitively linked to increasing C15:0 production."
It is not that simple. There is no need to reduce dietary iron. Just avoid 'enriched' processed foods that have been added iron filings that our body cannot actually use. It builds up and gets stored in the liver. Especially in people who grew up eating a lot of cereal, pasta, bread, etc. that were 'fortified'.

@@DocSiders Their marketing material implies it's in free fatty acid form, not in triglyceride form, because according to them it's more bioavailable in free form: "Food-based C15:0 is also tied up in complex lipids called triacylglycerides that make C15:0 less bioavailable. We developed fatty15 to help consumers get >99.5% pure C15:0 in a vegan-friendly, science-backed and readily bioavailable form."
Are high ferritin levels caused by insulin resistance?
This is fascination, another chunk of information about human/mammalian physiology that we never suspected.
Also, does yogurt contain C-15?
Prefer white tea and coffee with full cream milk , should be "regular"
Just did a quick peer review search on c15 fatty acid and where you can get it from food. Answer is dairy products. Study showed c15 and c17 fats in dairy reduced bladder cancer risk. There ya go
So where are the human studies on C15:0 to substantiate the claims?
Human Studies are most expensive. This discovery even came accidental as far as I know. Since the substance can’t be patented because it is so basic human studies are possible but unlikely. I am no expert on this though.😅
@@hugoapresname It's strange that she fails to mention the best source of C15, which is real butter. Sounds like an agenda to me.
Great discussion. Let’s take up a collection to buy the guest a proper mic (or headset with boom mic) and get her out of that echo chamber. I’d like to hear more from her!
So iron build up in the liver causes insulin resistance?
I REALLY appreciate this info ! So what that she is pushing a product . The researrch is very expensive to do. If she can help recupe the cost good on her ! Make more money keep researching more ! People want a pill , if they can afford it. People like me who cant afford pills just found out I can eat butter milk cheese and avoid seed oils . WIN WIN !!!! Dont be so negative !
I think she got the right answer with the wrong citations.
I'll stick with butter and other healthy foods to supply me with nutrients. TYVVM
She should have named any reliable study showing saturated animal or dairy fat from grassfed animals eating non-pesticide sprayed plants is inflammatory. I have not seen one.
That's because there are none. Meat heals. ;)
Is there C15 in Salmon Oil Supplements ?
What pro-inflammatory fats in milk is she referring to?
Milk protein would be my guess
Seems like if you are not donate your blood you will have overload iron in your liver and that can be problematic, but carnivore doctors not talking about that they just enjoying eating meat, and some of them even not eating butter or others dairy products. I love butter and beef sometimes I'm adding Kefir, cottage cheese.
Only if you have hemochrombtosis and the carnivore diet helps with that too.
High cholesterol is healthy cholesterol does not cause issues, meta studies show you’re least likely to suffer cardiovascular and arterial disease - she too deep in her pigeon hole.
Beef has C15 in case you haven't noticed
@@markosmerkouris9111 Yes, but it have a lot IRON too.
@@yummymealsss It's only an issue if you have hemochromatosis.

I'm so impressed and jolly to read the comments.
How wonderful and re-assured it feels like when the Human family wakes up and challenges the very core of the World Health Organisation and it's stooge's I mean the Govt's around the globe who have absolutely No interest in public health, always ask questions always look into broad research done with scientific background.
This research is new. They have only started doing clinical trials recently on Pentadecanoic acid.
Cell and mitochondrial membrane fragility of endothelial cells would be expected to activate the clotting cascade with cardiovascular, cerebrovascular, and peripheral vascular disease being the end result.
Wow, very very interesting !
She WAS working for WHO and was recruited by the Navy about
What about cancer and c15???
Just a thought. Very simple solution. Just eat plenty of fatty animal products. And you are good.
It seems that high animal fat diet don't have this C15 deficiency? This is a question. I really don't know.
Other scientist have questioned the research on C-15. However, I eat dairy fats.
that was obvious ...(because I'm a lmg time DM patient and nurse who experienced and saw too much (and too little), and I hate sugar...always did..... ) that it was more...
She work for an Organisation that doesn't want us to get old.
You have already lost me at the First Four minutes How about we over Fish and have taken away the natural food supply of the dolphins so they had to fish that were not fatty. I do not believe dolphins would choose a "healthier" low fat diet. If we take away their food they have to be resourceful and choose something different.
Gaia wept.
(iow, you are 100% correct, and it's time that we recognize we are just one part of the amazing ecosystem that is Earth - not that new-agey stuff :)
23.00 hoooo... she discovers there is more insuline produced...So she didn't understand what she was talking about a few minutes before..........
Yes but... you don want eat carbs together with saturated fats...... thats not good. Thats why answer is simple: Low carb diet is much more for us... i think maximal about 100 grams daily, for healthy person
What about iron in the brain, would this help clear iron?
if you have genes for iron overload then no
She says "eat fiber" as if it was a given and doesnt explain... So why fiber? That doesn't make sense to me since most of these diets that have high c15 are animal based.
She specifies inulin fiber feeds certain bacteria that help create c-15. Certain bacterias are beneficial to creating it. They talked a lot about this. Jesse has a specific take away yo get the particular stains of bacteria that are most beneficial when consuming fiber (inulin).

C-15 helps grow bifidobacterium.
I'm wondering if chelation would do the same thing as C15 by flushing out the heavy metals.
Best interviewer on You Tube on healthcare-- Thanks Jesse !!!
Yes,because he listens, understands & has great follow up questions 😊
Oh Damn. Stop everything, we need to tell lions to stop eating red meat because it has too much iron...
❤ the life changing discovery!!! Nobel Prize worthy? Yep!
I told trust or believe the info from anyone who is selling products they are talking about.
Huh?
There's a large segment of the population who can not eat dairy for various reasons.
Let them eat fish, or Google C15 amounts in foods and go from there.
Just a thought! Look at what the Inuits eat. One of the healthiest people on the planet. Oh thats right, primary food consumption is animal🤔🤔🤔🤗🤗🤗❤❤❤
Supplements are simply not required to eat and healthy.
Will see how to test C15. liver ALT slowlygoing up*eek), lo feritin but hi iron. How lab lipid peroxidation? 1 Dr did a RDW 2 ways, CD( In low ref.) and SD (HI ). Had thought had trouble with B12 but maybe is C15. How measure insulin resist, if fasting and non labs.?
what happens with a female with thalassemia, and anemia?
How about mobilivirus in dolphin. Can c15 cure it?.... No???
Yaaaaaaay! Iove cheese. And I'm Italian...time to move back there :)
Very hard to get without factory process. A good fat among all those "bad saturated fats"?
Sounds suspicious. A business opportunity for big farma?
I dont believe , that other 40% saturated fats are such inflammatory...maybe with carbs together? Too much processed carbs.... But Sardinia they have good quality carbs
Large scale studies on meat ? You mean epidemiology? Thats great. Good job.
How can we ensure that cows have c15 and our milk has c15
I would be willing to be a test subject!
I only eat grass fed dolphins
Ahahaha,,, best laugh today. Obvi, I needed it.
Maybe we should just stop eating
You could definitely afford to eat less, for sure.

Its simple really - just eat real whole foods 😊 and if you are able too, then occasional fasting is beneficial.....no need to analyse when you're eating 100 % whole real foods 😊
So, hopefully, funding and research will continue enthusiastically for this wonder fat and may more and more benefits be discovered that we can procure from food itself, because man-made supplements cannot be relied upon for consistent quality, especially once pharma gets into the game and starts going down the synthetics route. BTW, is this supplement sourced naturally and if yes, from where?
