In Part 2 of this video series I'll show you the installation of the hitch and wiring for our Time Out Trailer. The hitch is from Fat Bagger and the wiring is from Electrical Connection. We purchased the hitch and wiring through Time Out Trailers.
The hitch installation was very straight forward. The wiring was a little more complicated, but not difficult.

Tim, how has the fat bagger hitch performed for you so far? Does have a particular tongue weight rating? Any problems working it’s way loose since you installed it on either bike?
We've had no problems whatsoever with the hitch. We rode 9800 miles in 50 days last summer pulling the trailer. I pulled the trailer behind my bike most of the time, but I did pull it with my wife's bike at 80mph while my bike was being transported to the shop. The hitch did not come loose at any time during the trip. Tongue weight on a trailer like this is between 25 and 50 lbs - obviously not a problem. Time Out sold us the hitch and wiring, which they wouldn't do if they had any reservations about it. Thanks for watching.
It's interesting the the safety chain bracket is mounted to the receiver under the ball? Normally the safety chain bracket is part of the frame mounted portion of a hitch. The way is, all it takes is for the pin to rattle out of the receiver, it drops out, and the whole works will disconnect and go sliding in the ditch, hopefully before someone else hits it. The visible part of the safety chain rule is there, but the technical side isn't really correct.

I have an escapade trailer I bought at auction. I installed the hitch like you have. I removed the tri bar led light( it just had a wire for the the inlet but no wire going into the outlet, I checked my lights and turn signals without the tri bar hooked up and worked fine so I’m sending back the little tri bar replacement harness I bought that everyone said I needed. Donnie I’m trying to figure what trailer wiring harness for a 2017 road glide ultra ( the trailer has the round 5 pin connection) for some reason I’m having trouble finding what I need. Do you have any suggestions?

Good thing you don't have a warranty on your bike anymore, The hitch will void it
Just had work done last week. Warranty wasn't voided. I think it depends on how picky the dealer wants to be. My dealer wants the work.
This has been ruled on in the courts. A manufacturer/dealer cannot void your warranty because of aftermarket parts, unless they can prove those parts are what caused the problem. It's called the Magnusson-Moss act
