Glad that there are more and more videos of Still’a disease popping up, I’m 26 and got it almost two years ago. It forced an early retirement from the army. I’ve tried different strict diets and many other things and Ive come to notice that for the most part the remissions come and go as they please. Meds definitely make life livable but I wish there was more I could do to not have the constant thought of “will it be bad again tomorrow”. Keep staying strong everyone!
I am always happy to see a video on my life, it's been a hard and lonely battle with a rare and terrible disease. Though, we all have a commonality in it, us few, and thats a beautiful thing.
Your resilience and shared journey with others facing rare diseases is truly inspiring. Keep fighting and know that you are never alone in this battle. ❤️
@@MedicalCentric I appreciate your words! It felt lonely sometimes but I have found some community, it's just hard with so few around that have Still's, though I don't feel alone!
I developed Stills when i was 45 on holiday in the UK in 1995 and I spent 4 weeks in St Mary`s hospital in London along with the usual symptoms I also got double Pneumonia and fluid around the Heart I`m now 71 years old and still suffer continuing attacks of this horrible condition.
I have to start tracking my temperature. I’m pretty sure this is what’s wrong with me. It started with a sore throat, exhaustion, joint pain and inflammation, random patchy splotches of pink rash, hearing loss, swollen glands. I definitely had mono but when it went away all of these symptoms stayed. No one has been able to figure out what’s wrong with me. The inflammation comes and goes as it pleases and NOTHING helps it. This could be a potential explanation for the last eight years of my life.
It’s crucial to track your symptoms closely and share them with your healthcare provider to help uncover the root cause and find an effective treatment ❤️.
My father is also suffering from this deasises he is taking stayroids pedisolan . Now he is ok.Please tell me how many times he will take stayroids and is this deasise is curable?
@@masterayush8590 this disease isn't curable. You can only control it with the medications. And about steroids, you cannot stop them at once, your doctor will reduce the dose basis on the recovery and time. Once it's in control the doctor will stop the steroids and continue the other medications.
Same! My rashes started 2.5 months before. It started small, only on my under arm, everyday the rash became more and now my whole body (except face) has it..
I was diagnosed in January of 2023 I turned 65. I was very active , eat healthy. Don’t drink . No fever , but attacks on my hands , wrists, nd knees . It went away for a complete month nd a half nd now had returned . How long did the meds that were given take to remove symptoms? I’m on prednisone nd the methotrexate ? Just started the M. But have been on prednisone since it restarted.
