No, she didn't order a GX550. She advised a salesperson of her trim and color preferences and the sales person will try to convince her to take any allocation that comes up until she finally gives in and comes home with something she didn't want in the first place. That's how it works now. The factory doesn't care that you have a preference in trim, color, etc.
This GX550 might be the first Lexus I’ve liked the style of. And I really like this one!

Just reserved a GX 550 Luxury +Nori Green with saddle tan and black interior! My sales consultant said to expect around October-December and that I'm number 251 in my local area! Geeeeeeez!
The LX/land cruiser is probably the best car on the road. My mom got a 2013 Land Cruiser brand new and just got rid of it after 10 years and 175k miles. It needed nothing outside regular maintenance. Let’s hope her new defender 130 is just as good

I just bought the Ford F350 2024, XL STX for $63k plus a bedliner, tax etc, $70k. It's creazy a base model truck cost as much as new Lexus GX!

Went to a Lexus dealer in Edmonton Alberta Canada yesterday. Priced one out $110,000 CAD. 😢
Did they give any info about delivery date cuz i’d be welling to pay even 120k for it just to get it at release
He said the ones there getting will be there the end of March. There all spoken for but the people that ordered them didn’t know the price so they figured about 20-30% of them wouldn’t take them. He told me to go back and talk to him mid March and there was a chance of getting one.

Trucks are part of his RUclips business. He gets to expense depreciation and any losses on trade ins he can carry forward and lower his tax bill.
Where personal finance looks like (Income - Taxes - Expenses = Net profit), JB business is (Income - Expenses - Taxes = Net profit) and if he plays his cards right his taxes could be zero or even get money back.
The financial statement I would like to see from JB is cash flow. I believe he paid cash for his Ram so when he traded that in to start this business venture and he had great start. This is just a guess

This is like a Seinfeld episode. You still have to earn enough income to justify a "write off/deduction." You are still spending absorb anent amounts of money (through the bank loan) and having significant depreciation. This is not "free money." @@TheRoeshow0324

Deposit doesn’t guarantee anything. The dealer has no input what they get from Toyota. What they are allocated is all based on Toyota Motor Sales. The color, the options, the model etc. Good luck you will need it and it will be almost impossible to get exactly what you really want. The dealer will try to get you to buy what is sent to them.
I’m surprised that Lexus salesman didn’t know this. That 3.4L TT V6 engine on the GX550 is not new it been out since 2017 in the LS500 and Land Cruiser 300 it a proven reliable engine
He knows about the new engine but most people looking at the GX will be hesitant because it’s new for this model

I let my wife buy her 4runner 2022 and she absolutely loved/hated it. Loved the capability but hated the technology seats no remote start windshield catches all rocks and it has a sound in front fender like slapping that nobody can figure out. So she sold it for 2k more than she paid for it and bought a pro4x frontier dealer lifted and tires and it’s so much better to think the technology and ride comfort from a 22trd off road to a 23 Nissan frontier pro4x is crazy. And cheaper on insurance and better fuel economy

Frontier bought 47k paid 700 for metal bed cover installed.
If I could get her a Grand Wagoneer, I would but she doesn’t want to trade out of the next one for awhile so I want something I can rely on for more than 5+ years and so far our Wagoneer is proving not to be that 👍🏾

In the car world, outdated tech means reliable. Definitely not getting the same resale value on a Nissan. And it'll be a money pit after 80k miles if you're the type of car owner for the long run. 208k miles on a 2004 4Runner, only tech I needed was solved with a car play headunit.
I like the new GX styling, highly disappointed at 15 mpg, same fuel efficiency as my 2004 Toyota 4Runner
