This is a story time that will make your heart sink….so when I was 7-8 I was at the park with my friend Emily around 8:39 pm and it was dark this man had walked up to me and Emily and asked if we wanted to walk around and chat we said yes because we weren’t taught “stranger danger” yet because we were exited about walking with this man and not scared of the world, we were Walking around when on my tablet I had 48 messages from my mom because she told me to text her when I was done at the park with my friend so we could go home and watch a movie had been 3 hours so she had called the police and the police did a check at the park and they didn’t see me at the park and they call our names, looked around the forest areas of the park ect… . The man that had asked us to “walk around and hang out with us” ended up leading us very far away on a pathway to a dark allay way that leaded to a apartment We had never seen because we were told not to wonder off of the parks trail, the man leaded us into this apartment where there was no people around, there was one more dark allay and 1 apartment door that only opened from the inside, so the man starts banging on the door and a guy opens it, the man walks into the apartment and tells us to stay here for a second a throws a deck of cards at me and my friend, mabey like 5 minutes after I get an alert on my Mini I pod with my name and my freinds that were missing and to call 9-1-1 if found , that’s when I questioned the amber alert (not knowing what it was) so I whisperd to my friend and showed her my tablet she was frightened that’s when 7 year old me finally made a move of action and whispered to me friend “lets run away and go back home I don’t feel safe” my friend agreed. still on the pavement floor of the dark alley way, I tell my friend to walk back the way we came from and let’s get out of here, we are pretty much out of danger when we here the door open and see the man look back in the corner where we sat, that’s when He spots us and we run , I hear police cars I’m the distance but I don’t think anything of it and think there to far to find, still running when we hear “YOUR TO SLOW, IM ALMOST THERE” and we’re frightened so we pick up our little legs and sprint , we end up seeing the park in the distance but it seems 1000 miles away… we end up running into the forest area sounding the park just then do Emily and I realize the police cars are looking for us, the man has dent realized yet, so we ran out to the police and the man followed, the man had just then realized the police were there, so he has ran off, we ran to the police and told them everything, they told us we were brave and asked where he took us, they gathered foot prints, and the area he led us we finally made it back to the ally way where his apartment was we were scared but the police reassured us, we banged on the door, nothing banged again .. nothing but finally we hear a window open, the police ended up getting a way in but lots of stuff was packed up and a small window was open the man had gotten out, the police gathered lots of evidence from the sene but we walked back to the park to see a women named Juliet Williams stopping the the man trying to open a police car door to drive away and r cape with boxes of stuff on the floor next to him, they brought him to jail ran his history and found him with 6 other charges of kidnapping a R@PË. He was also found with a charge of murder and he had his brother to bail him out (his brother ended up living with the man) we also found the man’s name out Kash Rog*** so let this be my story to you to never trust Random strangers. Please be safe. And pay attention to amber alerts, it could save your life. -Abby on the internet ( there’s more) If your wondering where my mom was the whole time, my mom ended up having a panic attack and passing out hitting her head on the bathroom floor (very hard) my neighbor had gotten the alert and rushed down to the park , she wanted to get my mom and knowing her condition the front door was only open when our amazing neighbor Juliet was around because she knew her 7 year old could not take care of her disease, Juliet saw mom on the floor but was worried about us more than. My mom (she had checked my mom to see no fadle injuries or bruises) , she rushed down to the park to see the man trying to open the car door when we had come back, fast forward to when we were coming back home Juliet took us home to get mom and get her to bed and get water, Juliet and me (now a teenager have the closet bond ever) be safe baddies ❤️! When i listened to a RUclipsr cover this case, they had an interview clip where Amber’s mother said any time a child is saved because of an amber alert, she goes to her daughter’s grave to tell her that she (Amber) saved another.
I grew up and currently live in Arlington TX (where amber got kidnapped) growing up I always heard stories about her, and her kidnapping. In the parking lot she got taken from, there are still murals that artists have painted for her over the years.. makes me tear up every time I drive by :( Rest in peace Amber❤️

My dad was friends with Amber’s dad. My dad told me how he remembers Amber’s dad showing up at our doorstep sweaty and concerned. He asked if Amber was at our house, and my dad said no, asking him what’s going on. What can they do now? Be realistic. DNA scanners aren't that prevalent and ai don't even think they existed im the 90s. If the killer has seen how badly his crime had become, I doubt he committed again.

My friend was kidnapped before while I was with them. I was in fourth grade and didn’t really understand what was going on. We were at the park, it was near the edge of the woods. My friend had a phone so our parents went for coffee and told us to stay at the playground. Us, being kids, HAD to go the woods next to the playground now that they had said that. We ventured in, pretending to be explorers who lives in the trees. A strange man in ratty clothing approached us. he started following us, which I thought wasn’t a big deal until he followed us for like 10 whole minutes. I turned around to look at him and his hand was trying to grab the hood of my friends clothing. I screamed and yanked her away and we started sprinting as fast as we can deep into the woods. I tripped and fell into a river or something like that and I thought i was going to die. My friend didn’t fall in and continued running. I was swept downstream. The last thing i saw before i was swept away was her eyes widening as she saw that i had fallen in the river. I was hit by rocks and stuff but I managed to climb out. I wandered through the woods and came across and parking lot. A woman drove me to the police station, and I remember waking up in a waiting room chair. My parents and her parents came and the police looked for my friend. She was found at a train station with the man.

The parents looked for her for so long and when they finally found her, they found her alive but her eyes were gone. I'm pretty sure it was to get money from strangers feeling bad for the girl, then the kidnapper would take the money. I was HORRIFIED like I had nightmares I think. I have to thank my mom for that cause honestly, even tho I do doubt the couple neighbors who saw me waiting at my door for a long time and offering me to wait at their house until my parents came home were kidnappers, it made me very aware. Children can't rlly choose what sticks in their brain and what doesn't. I'm 15 rn and I still remember that story from 9 yrs ago.

A minute later my mother arrived near my school. She said she never saw this man. I wasn't scared. I was embarrassed. I was in 1st grade.

I remember once a man pulled into our driveway in his car, so I looked out the window and he must have saw me because he started placing gummy worms in our driveway and sat in his car. He went out of view, so I got my sister and my friend who were with my at the time ( they were about 10 and I was about 8 ) and we went outside to get the gummy worms because he appeared to be gone. Luckily, he must’ve thought 3 of us was to much to take without getting caught because we live in a busier neighborhood. I have had Amber Alert systems on my phone from time to time. I am not surprised that it came from this tragic story about Amber Hagerman. I personally thank the Amber Alert system for saving thousands of Children's live because of her legacy. My heart drops everytime an amber alert shows up on my screen. I once woke up to one at 1-3 a.m. Whoever that child was,I hope they were found and taken home to safety,as well as others and rest in peace,Amber. As a 13 yr old about to be 14 in a couple days,as a very young child I've always been protective of both my brothers even when it comes to mean kids. If my little brother wants to go out,I go out with him to play,take care and look out for him. I don't trust people easily,I stopped trusting easily when all my friends left and replaced me,one thing I taught myself as a child was to never trust any random man or woman on the street who my parents don't know or do know,both my aunts lost my trust for different reasons. My mother or father never taught me or my siblings about stranger danger and so I decided to be prepared for anything and do anything to protect my brothers. It may seem like I don't love my brothers at all,yeah they sometimes drive me nuts but 1 thing for sure is that I love them from the bottom of my heart and I know that I wouldn't be able to live without them.

Heres my close call story for you guys- When i was 10-ish me and my sister went to a water park. it had a lazy river and so we spent most of our time there. we went around ~10 times until my sister grabbed my arm and whispered “that man has been staying really close to us this whole time” i looked back, and sure enough, there was a middle aged man staring at us, just a few feet back. we started swimming to go faster, and he matched our pace. we were really freaked out, so we kept swimming until there was a pillar thing in the water, and we held onto that. the man went past us because at the point where we were, the water was moving pretty quick. as soon as he past us, he started looking around, until he caught sight of us. he slowed down and grabbed onto the edge. we slipped and as soon as we reached him, he let go of the edge. me and my sister were freaked out but decided to not pay it mind because “it was probably just some weird coincidence.” however we still kept, constantly changing our pace, yet he kept matching it?? we said “okay no this is creepy” and decided to get out. we got to a place with a punch of really tall pillars and hid behind one, trying not to slip. as soon as the man realized we were gone he started looking around. he even started walking against the current to see if we were behind him. he slipped luckly, and we took that chance and ran for the exit. over text it may seem like he couldve not actually been trying to follow us, but youre gonna have to trust me on this one. thanks to one middle aged white man in a red hat and orange swim trunks im too scared to so much as walk home alone

The closest i’ve ever been to being kidnapped was when i was around 9 with my bsf and twin brother. We were walking our dogs around my friends neighborhood (my parents were having a party so we went to her house and brought the dogs) and that’s when a man around 3 houses away starts staring at us, so being the immature little brat i was i kept walking, eventually when we got to his house (walking past it) he stopped us and said, “hey guys is that an English Bulldog” we said yes and he said wait a second. And started grinning now that scared the living googly moogly out of me, and I whispered to my friend “uh should we go?” She had said no and that, that would be rude. So finally around 7 minutes later he shows us the bulldog, and i don’t remember either he offered to come inside or said bye guys in a reaaallllyyy sketchy way so once we reached the next house I started sprinting like Ronaldo down that soccer field. No matter where you are or what you are doing, always always keep some sort of protection with you. Whether it's a mini pocket knife, pepper spray etc, you never what will happen next. I usually keep something like a pen in my pocket, just incase I need to jab someone in the throat.

My dad was friends with Amber’s dad. My dad told me how he remembers Amber’s dad showing up at our doorstep sweaty and concerned. He asked if Amber was at our house, and my dad said no, asking him what’s going on. I don’t remember a lot sorry but basically long story short my dad knew Amber and my dad spent ages looking for her when he found one of her shoes near a creek…you probably understand the rest.

What can they do now? Be realistic. DNA scanners aren't that prevalent and ai don't even think they existed im the 90s. If the killer has seen how badly his crime had become, I doubt he committed again.

My friend was kidnapped before while I was with them. I was in fourth grade and didn’t really understand what was going on. We were at the park, it was near the edge of the woods. My friend had a phone so our parents went for coffee and told us to stay at the playground. Us, being kids, HAD to go the woods next to the playground now that they had said that. We ventured in, pretending to be explorers who lives in the trees. A strange man in ratty clothing approached us. he started following us, which I thought wasn’t a big deal until he followed us for like 10 whole minutes. I turned around to look at him and his hand was trying to grab the hood of my friends clothing. I screamed and yanked her away and we started sprinting as fast as we can deep into the woods. I tripped and fell into a river or something like that and I thought i was going to die. My friend didn’t fall in and continued running. I was swept downstream. The last thing i saw before i was swept away was her eyes widening as she saw that i had fallen in the river. I was hit by rocks and stuff but I managed to climb out. I wandered through the woods and came across and parking lot. A woman drove me to the police station, and I remember waking up in a waiting room chair. My parents and her parents came and the police looked for my friend. She was found at a train station with the man.
But was she okay? Was he planning on taking her somewhere else? And were you okay??

My mom did NOT care if I was out with my friends as long as I wasn't by myself
So one day me and my friends Jessica and Leah went to a school play
After that JESSICA of course wanted ice cream
And since it was only a five minute walk we decided to go
And Leah and Jessica weren't rlly friends so she was always quiet
So while me and Jessica were talking we didn't really look behind us and by the time we were in the ice cream store parking lot Leah WAS GONE
We searched for an hour before finding Leah hiding in A BUSH saying a man kidnapped her but she was able to escape and said he was looking for her
We still don't know if she was lying but that day we just ran home and don't rlly talk abt it

I'm honestly so grateful now that my mom had taught my about stranger danger when I was 6. And she wasn't light about it either, she literally read me a kidnapping article: a young girl had gotten kidnapped after being offered candy and was taken away. The parents looked for her for so long and when they finally found her, they found her alive but her eyes were gone. I'm pretty sure it was to get money from strangers feeling bad for the girl, then the kidnapper would take the money. I was HORRIFIED like I had nightmares I think. I have to thank my mom for that cause honestly, even tho I do doubt the couple neighbors who saw me waiting at my door for a long time and offering me to wait at their house until my parents came home were kidnappers, it made me very aware. Children can't rlly choose what sticks in their brain and what doesn't. I'm 15 rn and I still remember that story from 9 yrs ago.

I was just 11 years old when I heard about this story. It broke my heart and the nightmares her little brother probably has knowing he was so close. Her name was Amber and her mother name was Donna. People would joke about this with me and they were so mean. I told them its not funny. She was only 9 years old. Think about your families. Think about her family and what they are going though. For about three years after this happen, I would hear jokes about this because My name is Amber and my mom name is Donna. Because of Amber so many kids have been saved. R.I.P Amber may the Lord keep you forever and always save. 🙏💔♥️

I remember once a man pulled into our driveway in his car, so I looked out the window and he must have saw me because he started placing gummy worms in our driveway and sat in his car. He went out of view, so I got my sister and my friend who were with my at the time ( they were about 10 and I was about 8 ) and we went outside to get the gummy worms because he appeared to be gone. Luckily, he must’ve thought 3 of us was to much to take without getting caught because we live in a busier neighborhood. I don’t know what could’ve happened if I decided to go out their and get the gummy worms by myself. We ended up not eating them because my sister said we shouldn’t.

I have had Amber Alert systems on my phone from time to time. I am not surprised that it came from this tragic story about Amber Hagerman. I personally thank the Amber Alert system for saving thousands of Children's live because of her legacy. If a alert system like that existed back when Amber Hagerman was kidnapped, her life would've been spared in my humble opinion.
My heart drops everytime an amber alert shows up on my screen. I once woke up to one at 1-3 a.m. Whoever that child was,I hope they were found and taken home to safety,as well as others and rest in peace,Amber.
As a 13 yr old about to be 14 in a couple days,as a very young child I've always been protective of both my brothers even when it comes to mean kids. If my little brother wants to go out,I go out with him to play,take care and look out for him. I don't trust people easily,I stopped trusting easily when all my friends left and replaced me,one thing I taught myself as a child was to never trust any random man or woman on the street who my parents don't know or do know,both my aunts lost my trust for different reasons. My mother or father never taught me or my siblings about stranger danger and so I decided to be prepared for anything and do anything to protect my brothers. It may seem like I don't love my brothers at all,yeah they sometimes drive me nuts but 1 thing for sure is that I love them from the bottom of my heart and I know that I wouldn't be able to live without them.

Heres my close call story for you guys-
When i was 10-ish me and my sister went to a water park. it had a lazy river and so we spent most of our time there. we went around ~10 times until my sister grabbed my arm and whispered “that man has been staying really close to us this whole time” i looked back, and sure enough, there was a middle aged man staring at us, just a few feet back. we started swimming to go faster, and he matched our pace. we were really freaked out, so we kept swimming until there was a pillar thing in the water, and we held onto that. the man went past us because at the point where we were, the water was moving pretty quick. as soon as he past us, he started looking around, until he caught sight of us. he slowed down and grabbed onto the edge. we slipped and as soon as we reached him, he let go of the edge. me and my sister were freaked out but decided to not pay it mind because “it was probably just some weird coincidence.” however we still kept, constantly changing our pace, yet he kept matching it?? we said “okay no this is creepy” and decided to get out. we got to a place with a punch of really tall pillars and hid behind one, trying not to slip. as soon as the man realized we were gone he started looking around. he even started walking against the current to see if we were behind him. he slipped luckly, and we took that chance and ran for the exit. over text it may seem like he couldve not actually been trying to follow us, but youre gonna have to trust me on this one. thanks to one middle aged white man in a red hat and orange swim trunks im too scared to so much as walk home alone

The closest i’ve ever been to being kidnapped was when i was around 9 with my bsf and twin brother. We were walking our dogs around my friends neighborhood (my parents were having a party so we went to her house and brought the dogs) and that’s when a man around 3 houses away starts staring at us, so being the immature little brat i was i kept walking, eventually when we got to his house (walking past it) he stopped us and said, “hey guys is that an English Bulldog” we said yes and he said wait a second. And started grinning now that scared the living googly moogly out of me, and I whispered to my friend “uh should we go?” She had said no and that, that would be rude. So finally around 7 minutes later he shows us the bulldog, and i don’t remember either he offered to come inside or said bye guys in a reaaallllyyy sketchy way so once we reached the next house I started sprinting like Ronaldo down that soccer field. Uhm yeah so my older brother was supposed to be watching us but he was sleeping 😁

I saw a man there where were houses (abandoned) and there was a MAN
I saw him but didn't pay attention because I was talking with my friend
He came closer and I saw he had like in between his fingers small knives so I told my friend to walk away with me
We were close to where my grandma lives and I saw him in the back
From that day on i never ride a bike alone around there because I was scared of him

The fact this happened in my area is just...
plot twist: amber alert means amber heard is outside, thinking that someone got kidnapped so they don’t go outside.

No matter where you are or what you are doing, always always keep some sort of protection with you. Whether it's a mini pocket knife, pepper spray etc, you never what will happen next. I usually keep something like a pen in my pocket, just incase I need to jab someone in the throat.

When my dad taught me stranger danger he made it so scary to make sure I understood. He said that if I got kidnapped the kidnapper would cut me up and eat my in a bowl of milk like cereal
I remember when I was still in high school, mine and my friend's phone would ring three times a day. It was those damn amber alerts. All girls, ranging from 6-14 year olds. I found it incredibly concerning but I guess my friend didn't cause she would still go out to the park, at any given time, and walk around by herself. Still irks me that she did that, she could have been an Amber Alert.
