Jeff Schultz I’ve heard some say he raps like a computer. I figure it must be in his genes. I ascertain he he possesses a laptop that he likely keeps in the back pocket of his jeans.
Royce's second verse stole the whole song. I love that they gave props to his opening "My whole goal as a poet is to be relaxed in orbit/At war with a bottle as Captain Morgan attacks my organs"....that is a CRAZY line.
Love that you gave Em props on entering the scene as a young white kid in a predominantly black industry... The same can be said about Howard Jones, former lead singer of Killswitch Engage. In my opinion he exploded on the metal scene as a young black kid in a predominantly white industry.. and he tore that shit up! One of my favorites still to this day
Props on the comparison that’s a pretty accurate one in my opinion, I bet it was pretty hard to try and fit in for both Eminem and Howard Jones took a lot of balls to get out there and try
finally someone who appreciates this song as much as I do. I can not get enough of every line in this song. this entire project is through and through perfect not a single weak track
Really enjoy the intellect you two have with lyrics and how you breakdown what is being said in the rhymes. Plus, you two have great personality contrast.
Man y'all talking about word play in this song, y'all should listen to Groundhog Day by eminem, he damn near carries the sound of "Michigan" throughout the whole song.
Eminem he is straight talent! Another great video !! I don't understand how people can diss this video, #freethinkers #lostinvegas taking over teaching everyone about music !!
I'm usually really annoyed by "reaction" videos, but you guys do such a good job and actually provide relevant information to the video at hand. Keep up the good work.. appreciate it.
Eminem has always stood above to me and the way you guys explained his lyrics is kinda the way I describe playing guitar. All the intricate stuff he does it's kind of just like playing, guitar build off of one thing, keep it rolling
You guys could do the entire album Bad Meets Evil three times and find more and more hidden rhymes and references in it. While it wasn't a massive commercial success, anyone that has listened to it knows it's one of if not the best rap albums to come out in the last 10 years. Nickle 9 and Em just destroy everything on the tracks. Truly amazing.
Just wanted to say thanks. Having you guys talk through why this is good helps make it more accessible to me. I’m a 40 year old metal head who wants to expand my horizons. Got here from your Coheed and Cambria video and am loving your work. Love watching smart people talk about stuff they love.
My favorite thing about Em and Royce together is one can drop off mid verse and the other picks the ball right up and runs with it without missing a beat. And they both just go off and basically challenge each other.
i love the explanation of the lyricism and word play on this video! yall made me appreciate this song more. fire video and keep up the amazing content!
Drew Biggah Lyrically no one would "Kill" Slim, Some might out rap him if he not on his best game. But at his A+ Pen game He can go head to head with any Mc dead or alive.
New to the channel. Enjoy the reactions and education on the lyrics. Royce is fire on this track. The whole album is hot. Love the way they go back and forth with no effort.
This whole CD was like this song, they should have gotten a nomination for Duo of the year for this, and in case you missed it. Listen to the last few second of Eminem's Slim Shady LP "Bad Meets Evil" for the line "I'll see you in hell for the sequel." Almost sure that's the reason for the album title
8:58 is Me one when i first heard the song a couple of years back With that last back to back / Passing it back in forth between themselves, One of my favorite songs for Royce & Em
No one is lyrically better than Em..in my opinion . Born in the early 80's , and been listening to Rap & Rock a long time , and I still haven't heard anyone who has the word play , and can bend words like Eminem. Once heard him rhyme the word orange ..I mean come on lol
Sorry for replying 5 months later....that's your opinion and i respect that but no there have been better lyricists than eminem that still don't get the credit they deserve
Big Pun - Beware This track is awesome though! Haven't listened to it in a while and it was dope to see you guys react too it. Used to be able to rap it all, so it brought back memories. Lol
I love this song and I’ve never really paid attention to lyrics past face value. You two really do such a great job and I love the commentary on it. I just found you guys the other day but I’ve already watched at least 50 videos I think haha. Keep it up you have a “Supporter” in me!
Just found your channel and what really sets you apart from other 'reaction' videos is your real analysis of the lyrics breaking down bit by bit what is happening. If you stick to this formula then this is going to be a great channel as a lot of the lines fly over peoples heads.
First and foremost, THANK YOU! The thing is, it's not necessarily a formula (although I know what you mean). It's just who we are as people. We could be discussing sports, politics, movies, religion etc. We always try to search for meaning and/or understanding of anything in life and we enjoy having discussions surrounding our thoughts on these these things on and off camera. Great feedback sir.
When I saw reaction I thought you two were just going to nod your heads and get hyped during certain parts, but you actually analyzed the song, broke it down and explained what's going on. Very nice this is a great channel
david marwood wait how did I get proven wrong????? U literally stated your interpretation of something someone said. How does that verify the shit u said?
bro are yall stupid? Royce has not had his lyrics wrote for him tf. where is ur evidence besides "various accounts and sources" gtfo disrespecting one of the greatest rappers of all time. they had beef for over a fucking decade and if yall believe Em still wrote him stuff, you're simply a fucking idiot. on top of that, during that time he released his BEST music, and 2 debatable classic ass albums. bro gtfo u fanboy
Everytime they say something silly or with no meaning. George: "see its just word play doesn't mean anything." We get it bruh, just appreciate the bars and punchlines lol
Eminem and Royce should definitely keep doing stuff together. Their voices just sync up so well...and those transitions...... BEAUTIFUL....I think they truly are the ultimate pair
Run E I was thinking the same thing man, but gotta respect their respect. Haha. They actually completely skipped hella legitamite wordplay such as the "decapitation" line and in the beginning "paradise". Bruh, eminem and royce both killed this with genuine wordplay. They touched on royces bars more so. Anyhow. I feel you on that front👌👌
Loki nah that’s just stupid Wordplay is wordplay a punchline is a punchline a metaphor is a metaphor That’s just it that decapitation bar is not a form of wordplay not in any way.
at around 4:50 you guys were talking about his word play but I cried when you missed the dice part, he said "screaming shady 'till I DIE like a half a pair of dice..." dice is plural so a pair of dice is 2, a single "dice" is called a die.
There is a Q and A video floating around somewhere of Em and Royce responding to fans and Em actually says that he has written a lot of bars for Royce and he saves the big punch lines for himself.
I HATE! that this album didn't get the respect it deserved, It had so much against it, 1st: Eminem was just coming off a back to back of mediocre projects (Encore, Relapse, Recovery, Re-up) So the game was feeling iffy about him, That was around the time people were saying Em had fell off. 2nd: Eminem decides to release it around the same time Kanye and Jay released The Throne, And Lil Wayne had released I believe Carter 5.
Love this channel and it's been great seeing you reactions to some new genres. I would love for you guys to share your favorite tunes and turn us on to some new shit.

Eminem has what youd call "lyrical cadence" on a level that's unlike anyone in the game
it's not a game.
