    Royse said the first time Eminem heard him rap in Detroit he had a verse about a gorilla and a banana. Em put that in the verse to sow respect to another titan in the rap game. Em can tear you apart lyrically if he feels the need, but he also shows respect those he feels deserve it.

    Oh and I need to edit this to add in - Royce Da 5'9" LA Leakers freestyle. DEFINITELY need to react to that and if you can't squeeze in a reaction, at least listen in your own time. Royce at his finest dropping knowledge left and right.

    Look, I was looking around the reaction section here and I found a lot.... a lot of people who never heard or knows who is 2 Pac, Eminem, NWA, Dre, Ice, or from other genre like Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park... I could go on... so they don't know what came before or who were the people who build this industry to what it is now and how valuable their new age or up coming artist's work worth. Not to mention the under rated big names, Rakim: I love him and I am shocked nobody heard about him, or when people say, oh Dre can rap, wait didn't he found Em, isn't he a producer, dude he took on Eazy-E, he had to fight to go solo, he brought up with him Snoop, a lot of them did so-so much just so those who are coming up now have a place to be famous in. Back in the 70s there was no hip-hop, the culture needed to make way to have space and look at it now! Did I go back too far? Well that is when all started, even in the 80s nobody really cared about hooligan music! That was hip-hop, they had to come out of the underground. We wouldn't have this genre if those did not fight for it. Look at Jay-Z, he made it in Hip-Hop and left to be a businessman! He is doing fine, but you don't see him around, but you still see Em! Jay-Z had the privilege to have a beef with 2Pac, he is that old! And he is not making too much noise is he? He is a suit now, nothing wrong with that, but Em stayed with the fan base and he is sharper than ever, that is why people need to give their dues to them and learn from them. Just because every rapper even the mumble rappers say with false prop money in their hands that they are the number one, but they are actually not on top and if will not happen just because they said it. Em has big influence because other respect him, not the vocal minority like Charlemagne and Benzino, who got shredded by Em, isn't it right, big lord Jamar? XD But the fan base he moves. Still moves, since 2000! When those mumble rappers will get protested by cities and still make it like Em, then they may speak and criticise Em. People protested against Em, just like they protested against the Election in 2020, but Em is not a presidential candidate!

    "I don't see any opening for breaths dude"
    There is literally like half a second between "Caterpillar" and "don't tell me when I'm supposed to rap until"
    I practiced rapping this part for ages and the beginning is not actually that hard, breath management becomes harder later.

    • @Poshriel
      @Poshriel 3 года назад

      The part directly after that was pretty impressive breath control though.
      Something that doesn't come up often is that the more syllables you have, the more times you have to change the tone and direction in your words, the harder it is to not lose your breathing.
      It's not just how long you are rapping without breathing, it's also how hard is it to string certain words together without breathing.

    what he meant by the BIG BEN line is, in 2018 when this song was released, the BIG BEN in London was (still is) under renovation so it was closed.

    This right here is a number one! It's a "Bro" count record: an even 50 times. Great song, had me saying a few things the first time I heard it too.
