He drug his heels for 18 mos. while the Feds knew he took documents and asked for them back. He refused, then he gave them a few, and lied that he gave them all. Moved boxes, had them tucked away in all kinds of places. He was obstructing all the way. Biden did not. Can you remember everything you did 10 yrs ago? NO? What is wrong with you, then, you must have the mental capacity of a snail. He shouldn't be charged because he fully cooperated. If trump would have given the docs back when asked instead of pretending the law didn't apply to him, he would not have been charged either. But, we know of course that is not his way. don the con. However, the fact he never did admit to this and wouldn't see his own mistake but doubled down was extremely frustrating. Neil Katyal has the most extensive experience with the Supreme Court and I trust him on anything related to them. When he said that he was disappointed with the presentation of the Colorado case, that matched my experience. Andrew and Neil both have extensive experience in the DOJ and agreed that the Trump appointed Special Prosecutor's press briefing was inappropriate and disturbing. That also matched my experience. James Comey 2.0.

Such a double standard-Biden gets off for taking classified documents as a Senator yet they charge President Trump for papers he could legally declassify and did. President Trump was also talking to the archive people about what papers they wanted. I doubt Democrats are able to see the hypocrisy and will contort themselves to defend this decision. Sadly they have had a veil placed over their eyes and lack the ability to see truth.

That's what struck me about the decision. You never whether you're in law or not give a yes or no answer to something and then expand with your own opinion. All it does is open you up to more questions and I hope this guy is forced to answer many though I doubt it.

So why couldn’t Mueller have said, as plainly, that despite DOJ Policy, if we set that aside, we would have come to the conclusion we would have indicted Trump for obstruction of justice?
He did say that in his testimony to Congress. He clearly stated that the only reason he did not prosecute trump for obstruction of justice, was because of the DoJ memorandum which precludes the prosecution of a sitting President.

Unprofessional is the word, his personal judgement is irrelevant. There's a difference in treatment due to the difference in conduct of Trump to Mike Pence, Hillary Clinton and President Biden.
You know I'm not a Trump fan, but I really don't think it's as bad as this video suggests. And there is some pretty scathing stuff about Trump. "...but several material distinctions between Mr. Trump's case and Mr. Biden's are clear." - SC's report, page 15. He then goes on to explain what they are. Co-operation, consented searches, a voluntary interview and not obstructing justice.
That special counsel should be fired.

He did something wrong and we have a right to know about it, and why he isn’t being charged for breaking the law. That matters greatly to the people, and if his memory is so bad then it’s very clearly time to retire. President or not, no one should get a pass.

Garland chose another James Comey for special counsel (to assuage MAGA criticism) - who found little and yet creates extraneous and irrelevant issues by opining about Biden's lack of memory today. Garland is a disaster because he waited so long to act on the insurrection and documents cases ,and then finally, because of pressure (not good judgement,) he appointed, Smith which should have happened on Jan 10th at the latest.
