I once had an immigrant from Germany whos family bought a laundromat tell me that i didn't deserve handicapped plates because it's my fault I'm disabled and i shouldn't get free parking because of it. I was stunned. It was the last time i used the Laundromat but the comment stuck with me. This incident happened during the Obama administration. I understood why it hit so hard during the Harris/Walz many campaign stops. It hit me because i am a veteran, and i am disabled and what sets America and Americans apart from developing nations and even some developed nations is we care for our disabled. Like blind people or people that are born with downs syndrome and others. We help each other because we are Americans and there is nothing we can't do together.
