I think that while the Kelvin timeline was able to reverse engineer some of the 24th century tech, they weren’t able to replicate it exactly. They had to increase the size of the tech and ships to compensate. It would be interesting to think if the Kelvin timeline went into the TNG era, would they have far more advance ships than the prime timeline or roughly equal as they worked on miniaturization of the tech instead.
I was thinking something similar. It really does make sense. It would be like a smartphone ending up in the late 60s. They could copy its functionality hardware but it would be the size of a small building. If the Kelvin Timeline went into the TNG era I think the only way the tech would shrink down is if they had a golden era of peace so they would have time to focus on the science and efficiency of the tech. If it was an era of war or unrest I think they would become more advance in the tactical side rather than the creature comforts and sciences. The ship would probably reach Star Wars scale.

This duel made me realize that those torpedoes are so slow even Worf with a hand phaser would be able to hit them with a counterfire!
Normally I am not into Kelvin timeline ships, but I actually like this one. It's not really out of place and could actually fit in the prime universe at some point. Even perhaps as a prototype.
I liked the ship more than I liked the way it looked. I didn't like the oval shape of the saucer mounted in "Sovereign class" mode I prefer it to be in "Galaxy class" mode if it is supposed to be a take on a Galaxy class ship. They had the oval mounted wrong. Plus, the ship just looked odd. Like it was from a weird part of their timeline. Kelvin timeline ships were always exaggerated and flowey. This ship almost had like an industrial look. Not what I expected for a Kelvin timeline Galaxy ship. But I did like how it performed.
It's ironic; I generally dislike the Kelvin Universe's ship designs as being cartoonish versions of the prime universe, but I much prefer this version of the Galaxy class to the canon one. It fixes all the problems I have with the Enterprise-D's shape: the too tall, apparently-hollow-given-the-plethora-of-viewports neck, the wider-than-it-is-long saucer, and the U-shaped nacelle pylons. I do think the superstructure above the saucer on the Kelvin Galaxy could use a cleaning up, however.
@@CelicaSound I grew up with the reruns of TOS, the original TNG airing, ect. I still believe TOS is the best out of all trek and nothing beats the Connie in beauty! Unfortunately we got the ugly E after it If only we had the Kelvin Galaxy class as the TNG Galaxy...
@@CelicaSound The Galaxy grows on people but for many it always reminded people of a large flying hotel and cruise ship. It wasn't ugly but it was and still is not a favorite for everyone. People however remember it fondly. I think the Ambassador class is a ugly ship and its concept variant is fantastic. The Soverigen is a work of art and shares its design with the equally beautiful excelsior. The Galaxy honestly didn't look good until someone slapped a third nacell on top and or when it became the Ross class in Picard and STO.
2:37 It's about 725 meters compared to the Galaxy-class which is 642 meters in length. If the JJ-verse had a similar size upscaling from NCC-1701 to NCC-1701-D then the JJ-D should be at least 1280 meters in length. The aesthetic doesn't look like a JJ-verse ship, either. They don't use red bussards and instead opt for an "Ipad" look using blue combined with a white hull.
There is one thing wrong with it, it had shields that worked. Joke aside the design is very cool would be nice to see it with a higher polly model and texture to knock some of those flat edges down a little bit to sleakin it up. The kelvin connie is roughly the size of a galaxy class with weapons of a late TMP era/ambassador era excelsior class. Think how big the vengeance was to dwarf it. For this to be the Ent D of JJ if they kept the same scaling it would be on par with the vengeance in size with Ent E post nem refit in terms of firepower/armor. Love the design and balance of this ship good job to the mod maker its a banger piece of work keep it up.
This was fun to watch. The Kelvin Galaxy is....interesting. It does look better than the Kelvin Connie. I like the Kelvin and the Enterprise-A that we saw at the end of Beyond. Other than that not too thrilled with the others. Yes the Kelvin Enterprise is double the size of a Sovereign class. I REFUSE to believe that. It originally was meant to be just a little longer compared to the original Connie Refit. It's evident at the beginning of the film when the shuttle of recruits lifts off at the River Side ship yard where the Enterprise was being built. That size is what I will be sticking with. It was only upscaled to hell because Abrams wanted that stupid brewery as part of Engineering.
😲Hey Admiral.. I have to say, wow, love this Kelvin timeline ship.. looks very nice and powerful, and good for TNG or Picard.. both ships were very matched.. I'd love to see what you consider the two most powerful ships from Gamefront going against each other. Literally the two most overpowered ships and what your thoughts are on which is the better overall ship.
Yep. Kelvin Consti is around 800 meters long, wich makes her as long as the sovereign class. The Vengeance dwarfs her, and she does so in STO too. Vengeance is the 2nd biggest starfleet ship ever put into service anywhere, largest is the Enterprise J still (even thou just length wise, not mass wise, in mass the Vengeance wins easily)
I think that if you add an addition is currently there the Enterprise is impulse engines so now the ship would have a quad impulse drive and you change the warpness cells to something different it could look even better
The key to defeating the Kelvin Galaxy is keeping stand-off distance. You were able to evade a few of those torpedoes at modest range, at long range you could do it. But the Kelvin cannot evade the faster prime quantums.
The TNG galaxy looks more like it would fit in the kelvin timeline while the kelvin timeline galaxy class fits the tng era which is both funny and sad at the same time

prime universe constitution class is 289m to 725m while the kelvin timeline variant is 477m flat. the size of the prime timeline depends on refits. the 32 century version of the constitution class is a wopping 1399m
By this point, I'm willing to declare the Kevin timeline an outright more militant one. Not on on the level of the Mirror Universe or the Dark Timeline, but definitely enough to nearly always come out the winner in a fight.

If we take into account of Federation technology at the time of Kelvin, specifically in overall, research, development, technology and infrastructure, and seeing what comes later in the movie era, I say that the Kelvin TOS era at least reached technological parity with the Prime Federation at least at Early TNG era. So the Kelvin Constitution likely was as powerful as say a Ambassador Class maybe a little less. At this point with such new and bulky tech it only makes sense the Federation would be refining the tech for the next couple of decades. miniturizing it and improving it. Of course this means that certain vessels likely would have alternate timeline creation points. Excelsior wouldn't exist as the next stage in Warp travel as Kelvins Federation has transwarp. She might however be the next stage in Federation technology in terms of computing power perhaps with the introduction of isolinear chips and computer tech coming earlier than in the original timeline and perhaps with Exelsior having early versions of the phaser strips. This might also be when Federation ships instead of truly getting larger start getting a size limit. The Ambassador I wouldn't have any idea if it would exist or not and in what form. Given the Galaxy isn't too far away from the Ambassador I would say the Ambassador likely ended up looking more like the Narenda Class version as Starfleet began streamlining the design of the ships and likely ended up as a smaller cruiser with the Galaxy coming into existence as the heavy cruiser, but due to the technological leap the federation Galaxy would look more like a chunker soverigen such as the one we see here. . Also these ships would be closer as proper warships given that Kelvin Federation starfleet is functionally more like a actual military. May the gods help the dominion when they encounter the Federation. May the gods help the Federation when the BORG turn up. They see the federation at the tech levels it appears it would be like ringing the dinner bell for the BORG collective.
It fixes the saucer section and the engine nacelles, which some idiot thought would look better if the former was oversized and the latter was undersized and too far forward.
I don't do gaming at all so I probably shouldn't comment but I think it should be a little more advanced such as when weapons detonate or hit or face or Fire Hits in Target it should have some sort of recoil or some sort of every action has an opposite equal reaction so it should at least start against the Target and the target should move somewhere in these games it looks like none of that happens
2:19 Again, no they are not. That was purely a post-production choice, and a lie! All scaling within the movies themselves, with the exception of one shot of the Enterprise shuttlebay, puts them at about the same size as their prime universe counterparts (or much smaller!), and on-screen evidence trumps what some producer said on the DVD extras or whatever.
The nacells are not consistent with the Kelvin timeline tech in my opinion. This looks like a design that would succeed the prime universe Galaxy class.
"Going for their sensors"... Taking into account, that the whole rim of the saucer is packed with sensors, as well as the rim of the engineering, plus the navigational deflector, this is simply pointless. Also "going for their shield generator". The Federation ships don't have one singular shield generator. They have a shield grid, that is distributed all over the ship!

It's time for the Startrek fan base to move away and beyond the Kelvin time line.

The difference I Get with the two timelines is like Mobile phones.
The prime is like a android While the Kelvin one is like one of those big 80s ones
